Anyway, did anyon of you watch the video "skill matters"? You'll remember some defense shoot shown with an earth 145 wd, now imagine that technical skill paired with basalt. Of course it's not unbeatable, but isn't that just a "too safe" combo to play? also consider that scythe can actually be KO'd by recoil with basalt 230 cs. Not that often, but it can happen 2 times in 3 matches.
but still, even without basalt things are not that good. ultra heavyweight new parts are just giving old parts a hard time. I already faced this while discussing about a new pre-maximum series format.
Don't you just feel that takara is trying to repair the metagame by creating overpowered parts outclassing the previously overpowered part? I got quite annoyed by this, and that's the reason i just won't buy new releases without trying them before.
