Dark probably has lower recoil than Rock.
Although Rock is generally preferred over Dark as a Defense wheel due to Rock's being heavier and having better weight distribution.
However, Moss has recently posted
some test results using Hasbro's Dark as a Defense Wheel and the results were surprisingly good (considering how poorly it normally performs).
Mc Frown also finds Rock to be a pretty good Attack wheel in
his tests.

is useing the lowest track possible best for attack type beys?
or using something in the middle like a C125, or a 125 track?
Only Upper Attackers and Destabilizers
generally need to use low Tracks.
Smash Attackers use Tracks that helps give the Metal Wheel the most contact with the opposing Bey's Wheel, allowing them to use a large variety of heights (e.g. Pegasis
145RF, MF Lightning L Drago
CH120RF, Storm Pegasis
100RF, etc.)
CH120 (in MF Lightning L Drago CH120RF) is used to help the Bey adjust to the height where it can make most contact with the opposing Wheel (Against tall Beys it uses the 145 Height. Against low Beys it uses the 120 height.)
