You can't really make a great defence bey with those parts. Get a rubber defence bottom.

I'm assuming this is what you mean:

In a synchrome, the metal wheel that is mentioned first goes on the bottom, or on the spin track rather. So Phoenix would be on the bottom, yes.

Or do you mean using the disk of F230 in the custom? Yes you have to use the disk.

Good For spin stealers and LAD, It doesn't have great stamina but is really good for defence: RDF.
For defence with more stamina then the other defence tips, but your sacrificing defence: CS.
Good pure defence but horrible balance and stamina: RS.
Less stamina than CS but more than RB/RS/RDF. It's better than CS for pure defence but isn't as good as others: RSF.
Good defence: RB.

Neither are good for Defense. Ifraid's would be better. But you owm Thief Phoenix, you defeneitley need to use that instead.

Well, since you appear to have the Hasbro Beat Lynx, your best bet is Flame Lynx AD145WD.

Some things you should get are the Air Synchrom Set and Bandit Genbu, Pirate Kraken, or Guardian Leviathan (Genbu is the most recommended) to make Genbu/Kraken/Leviathan Dragooon SA165WD.

Wyvang Wyvang 125R2F. Try picking up a Dark Bull to use H145 instead of 125 and you've got one of the best Attack combos in the game. Alternatively you could get Hell Kerbecs and Ray Gil to make Wyvang Wyvang BD145RSF.
