Actually pretty simple, albeit maybe expensive. Basically you just flip a switch that turns on a circuit board with code that makes the bey light up when at a certain amount of motion, but turns off when it exceeds that motion value. A microbit can do that and it’s about $30, so I can see why there’s a price concern. But at the same time, the rip fire series that hasbro did was about $15(5 extra from regular singles). Flipping the code on that and having a power switch can’t be all that expensive, however the feature itself is already useless since judges already officially use slow motion recordings for finishes that are too close for the human eye to determine, anyways.
