A very cool detail on chapter fithteen that can spotted is how we can see the pagasus constellation above the slash tower. Idk if this is a foreshadowing of pegasus' owner being the solidus tower champion (since pendragon is the champ on slash tower) or it could be hinting at pegasus owner being the next big antagonist who knows

They do this because it is always impossible to win, and children must understand that even after a seemingly fatal defeat, they must not give up and keep going

That lesson could already be taught when Shiguru came to the hotel and won there, with this match being perfect opportunity for a win from her side, especially since she lost like 10k times to her sister already.

Other protagonists had to deal with much stronger opponents in the finals and they prevailed, feels like the other series were more optimistic.

Multi should have shown her character growth here and do well, then at least end it with a tie. Instead her cool moment at the end amounted to nothing.

Speaking of some plot lines not being characteristically optimistic, I always found the lead up to the match with Pendragon weird in the manga. Bird is rightfully worried about being a burden to his team because he's useless, and he's just told to not worry about it, he is weak but Ekusu and Multi will carry him like always. I still don't know what they meant by this??? This is obviously an incredibly toxic viewpoint to put the character into, not that he acknowledges his weakness, but that he's fine with staying weak as long as Ekusu and Multi can keep carrying him. The conclusion doesn't change this, only feeding further into it and solidifying it. Like, yeah, winning is only a singular piece of the pie. But we've had plenty of time to eat up all other pieces of this pie will still being deprived of the last one, and the pie explicitly has to be eaten whole (Team Persona needs to win to be the Top of the X Tower).

I feel like Team Persona is generally is must less close and almost a bit antagonistic too eachother in the manga. Just some food for thought

I'm not sure if it's really a second season, just a new arc, because it's the same title "Beyblade X", not like Burst or MFB like "Burst God" ou "Metal Fight Baku".

I'd still call it a second season tbh, but less like a traditional new beyblade season and more like a traditional tv show season. No new logo or name, its just season 2.

It's really just semantics at this point, but officially it's been referred to as a new chapter (新章, Shin Sho). Rather than season or arc, the intent is probably to look at this as a new "saga", if you will.

I probably said this before, but what makes me wanna return to watching the Beyblade animes is seeing how amazing X's character designs are. I especially love how Bird's hair literally resembles bird feathers, and how Burn's hair resembles wings. Sorta sad to see X fell to the same English Dub renaming phenomenon, but I guess thats just the Beyblade dubbing phenomenon. Maybe one day they would decide to keep original names

BEYBLADE X Season 2

Kind of felt like the early MFB manga, with the focus being them arriving at some Beyblade Masters random shed (which is of course being attacked by goons). Speaking of those goons, I'm curious of the direction this series is going, cause Ginro was probably over exaggerating to some extent, but also suits with Beyblade did in fact try to take him by force. I dunno, but I'm not against it if we get some good development for our characters, and it seems like that is actually in the works. I was quite pleased with the events of this chapter, actually.

Tenka being invited to join Team Persona is exactly the shake up we needed, at least mentality wise. I'm sure Multi's just annoyed that Ekusu is being airheaded and making decisions on his own (as usual). Tenka herself also seemed perturbed, I'm assuming she has obligations to stay with the Shiroboshi Style Dojo. I'm assuming we'll eventually get the details on this Dojo and Tenka's relations to it, along with her own personal motivation. This is all kind of mandatory, more of a when rather if. However, I'm mostly focused on Bird here (as usual). I doubt Ekusu wants to replace Bird realistically, he probably envisions an MFB Baku set up with 3 main members and a substitute. But all Bird needs to do is get doubts over his placement and the idea of being replaced. This would cause him to question his overall value on the team, and hopefully also reflect on his journey up to this point. Hopefully we'll get that stuff sooner rather than later, and by soon, I mean in the next chapter or 2.

Bird is the only member of Team Persona that hasn't gotten a fight yet, and given that Chapters 1 and 2 seemed to be specifically structured for Multi and Ekusu to fight, I'm sure Bird is next. Conveniently, next month we also have the debut of a Bird Beyblade which can act as a parallel to Strike Hawk. A Bird fight next chapter seems like ideal grounds to focus on him. Helm Knight also exists, but I suppose it's debut fight will get pushed back to December.

By the way, on the topic of Evil Organizations, looking back to the Anime's Part 2 teaser (which is conveniently above this post), they show off a bunch of different rivals. Ginro giant silhouette is easily identifiable, and Garuda's owner seems to be the one with the pigtails based on Corocoro scans. After this we have 3 more characters to introduce. There's also that team Team Persona was facing in the manga's Part 2 teaser, and I don't think any of them match one of those 3. Last would be inevitable advent of a proper Pegasus based on the constellation above the page showing the 2 towers. Seems like the future has some fun stuff in store.

New chapter thoughts and feelings

I'm assuming that Omega is the main antagonist for now, right? From what I gathered Omega disobeyed the Shiroboshi school but blading in the X Tower and got excommunicated. But the beef between the two parties hasn't been formerly settled, so her daughter, Tenka, decides too. The plot line isn't super complicated, but should still be good if executed well. From what I can tell the fact that she got excommunicated, the whole reason this rivalry between both parties exists, is just because Omega just disobeyed and arbitrary rule. I don't even think Tenka cares about that rule either, she seemingly accepted the offer to fight her just because (though I'm sure things are more complicated on her part, given that they're related. Maybe she's made at her Mom for leaving her behind or something.).

The whole contest going on is interesting, but I'm afraid the plot will skip around it too quickly, just like climbing the X Tower. If you need 100 stars to fight Zodiac, and Persona's starting with 4, with each team having 3 members average, they would have to fight 32 teams. And obviously this won't all be shown on screen. I'd rather them just lower the requirement for stars tbh.

Either way, we finally get the Bird fight, as expected. FIghting Karura's team to test out the abilities of new Persona does seem like a weaker reason to fight, but whatever. Bird doesn't really do bad, but he still loses. I'm not sure if there's anything he could've done better in the context of this fight, but in the context of his overall character, this is just unnecessary. Even if each loss was written reasonably, 18 months of straight losses will begin to feel unnatural regardless, like reverse plot armor. Also Bird losing his star off rip is kinda hilarious.

Anyways, as usual, Bird loses, and another member of Persona swoops in to save the day, with it being Multi this time. Since the guy with Ghost also a member of Karura's team, I'm assuming Ekusu will eventually return and beat him, securing the win next chapter.

Hey guys, saw this on some website about the CX line & a theory by someone:

Since Arc 2 is leaning more on the elements of MFB such as:

The Star Chips representing Beypoints which could potentially lead to a “Battle Bladers”-like arc at the end.
A 4-person team (only Team Persona so far) that references the 4-person teams from MFB Explosion.
The Constellation of Pegasus that was shown in the teaser chapter for Arc 2 and Team Zodiac referencing the constellations.

ED 2 “Cosmic Treat” emphasizing the space theme for Arc 2.
I predict that the writers will use the idea of successorship for Arc 2. Back in MFB, one of the themes that was presented in the anime was successorship.


Here are some examples:

Storm Pegasus being based on the original design of Galaxy Pegasus.
Gravity Perseus being based on the original design of Variares.

By applying that same successorship to Dran and Hawk specifically:
Dran Sword (Cobalt Ver.) is based on Cobalt Drake.
Strike Hawk is based on Crimson Garuda.


Notice that there is a pattern with these 4 beys in particular. Dran Sword and Strike Hawk are both 3-shaped blades while Cobalt Drake and Crimson Garuda are both 4-shaped blades in their design. Not only that, Dran and Drake are both blue dragons while Hawk and Garuda are birds with different shades of red- enforcing the idea of successorship. Phoenix could be a separate successor to Garuda as well.

In the beginning of Arc 2, there was a teaser of this mysterious dragon that looked very mythical but he believe that it’s the Dran avatar which leads to the next point.

With CX beys being the next line for Beyblade X, so he theorize that Team Persona’s CX beys won’t be just mere variants, these beys will have an avatar transformation to reflect a higher level of successorship- still maintaining the idea of Variants that Beyblade X has established. Some avatars will be fused while some aren’t. The naming convention for the CX beys should be “Avatar/Title” to connect the idea of successorship and the CX system will be somewhat similar to the Synchrome System from Zero-G by changing Gear Chips. Burn will also play a huge role in helping creating the CX system with Multi since he did envision the mysterious dragon and the unknown “X” (as evident in episode 55) that could be linked to the next evolution of Bey Time Shift.


Here are the potential names for the Persona CX beys:
Dran Emperor (will be based on BX-39’s Gaia Dragoon homage bey this time).
Hawk Reaper (a fusion of the Hells avatar and Hawk).
Mage Battler (a fusion of Wizard and Knight based on these 2 beys’ designs).
Samurai Warrior

With the introduction of Tenka Shiroboshi as the 4th member of Team Persona, some Persona beys had to be fused (as in the case of Multi’s beys) to make room for her line of Samurai beys in the future. Bird’s CX bey is fused because it maintains the identity of Hells through the aesthetic of the blade and the title being “Reaper” while Hawk is the new and reborn avatar shown in the Gear Chip to keep its successorship with Garuda.

To go even deeper with Hells and Hawk: in accordance with mythology and symbolism, a Hawk is generally associated with the Grim Reaper of Death due to having some similarities with the mythological figure such as having a very sharp eyesight, a predatory nature, and the connection to the Earth’s sky that can be symbolized as the afterlife which is then personified by the Grim Reaper. This could hint that Hawk will be reborn with the help of Hells (Incendio) by taking its place as the new avatar and receiving the title of “Reaper” as the successor to Hells as well as Garuda.

Some other names he have came up with for the other CX beys are:
Shark Predator
Leon King
Wyvern Guard
Phoenix Immortal
Tyranno Rex
Shinobi Assassin
Ghost Phantom

For the Burst homage CX beys:
Heroic Valkyr (Valkyrie)
Notorious Spriggan
Dangerous Ragnarok (Ragnaruk)
Tenacious Cerberus (Kerbeus)
Righteous Longinus

he decided to go with adjectives for the Burst homage beys because when switching the Gear Chip from Heroic Valkyr to Dran Emperor, it will become “Heroic Emperor” and when switching the Gear Chip from Dran Emperor to Heroic Valkyr, it will become “Dran Valkyr”- as reference to the Synchrome System.


Plus Team Persona’s CX beys aren’t just Variants- they are the true successors of what came before as a prediction, but since there are no BX line Beys that still continue or finish, we don't know, if Takara Tomy or Hasbro are going to make the homage bey of the Golden Yellow Dragon like Gaia (Strata) Dragoon & Thief Zirago (Girago) maybe someone might make it in the future?
