Ranked Clauses

Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Ranked Clauses in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:

Banlist Variation: Metal Needle Bit Ban
  • The following Bit may not be used in this tournament: Metal Needle
Out-of-Bounds ruled as Over Finish
  • Any Beyblade that goes out-of-bounds in this Tournament will be considered knocked-out instead. If a Beyblade is knocked-out in this manner, it will count as an Over Finish.
Alternative Launching Rule: Continuous Side Switching
  • Bladers will be stationed across from each other on the Left and Right sides of the BeyStadium. Which side each Blader assumes must be decided by fair means (ex. Judge’s coin flip/dice roll, or rock-paper-scissors), with the winner getting to pick their starting side. This orientation is inverted after each subsequent Battle.
Deck Format Rules (Match Types Guide)
5. Switching Combos
  • A. If a replay is declined, the loser of the previous battle may choose to have the judge rotate the Stadium 180 degrees to swap sides.
  • B. Both bladers may then freely select a Beyblade from their deck to use in the next battle.
  • C. The winner of the previous battle must make their selection first, and then show that Beyblade to their opponent.
  • D. The loser then may select any of the Beyblades in their deck to use for the next battle.
  • E. Any mode changes should occur after both players have selected their Beyblades, taking place double blind if required.
Steps to Sign Up

Tickets can be purchased from the hosting store's website or in person. Please give some time for the store's website to update with available tickets

Step 2: Create WBO Account
Skip this step if you already have a WBO Account

Step 3: Create Challonge Account
Skip this step if you already have a Challonge Account

Step 4: Register On Challonge

Step 5: Contact the Host
This is to confirm that all the steps above were completed. Once confirmed the host will add you to the event on WBO. Please include all relevant information Challonge Username, Purchase confirmation, WBO Username etc.

I know this sign-up process is very involved but there are good reasons for this. The WBO site and challonge have revamped the worldwide ranking leaderboard for Beyblade and to ensure the rankings are accurate, sign-ups must be done correctly. Having more people do this sign-up process before the tournament helps save time since doing this process for everyone on the day of the tournament can cause delays and push back the tournament's start time. With this new process, there can be up to 3 different player lists with the WBO Sign-up, Challonge Sign-up, and who has purchased a ticket. I don't want anyone to miss out because of discrepancies so I'm trying to keep the three lists consistent.

Check-in, Registration, and Participant Limit (24) Details
  • Check-in will start at 12:00 PM there will be a laptop set up in the store’s play space area next to the stadiums.
  • Check-in ends at 1:00 PM.
  • The event starts at 1:30 PM.
  • We will be stricter on time for this tournament so we are done before sunset.
The event is capped at 24 players. A WBO account, Challonge account, and ticket are required to join the tournament.

Registering for the tournament in person on the day of is possible. But only if spots are still available, there are no-shows, or someone doesn’t arrive by the cut-off and has not informed the host about being late.

Even if you are not participating in the tournament you can still come and experience the tournament with everyone and there will be a freeplay area. Feel free to bring extra stadiums!

Tournament Format

Stadium: X Standard Stadium

First Stage: 3on3 to 4 points. 4-6 rounds of Swiss depending on the number of people
Finals Stage: Deck to 7 points. Top 4-8 in Single Elimination Bracket depending on the number of people

Prizes: 1st to 3rd in order of placement get to pick from prize pool. Singles, random booster, double packs, etc.

Don't have any x beys? Loaners can be provided by myself and others for newcomers to experience.

Player cap 24 players.
NorCal Rankings & League

Northern California Organizers are teaming up to bring local organized play to the next level! We will have ongoing and seasonal rankings which you can check out here https://braacket.com/league/BBXNorCal
While local ranking will be determined and inputted into a braaket league, ranked tournaments will also still count for the WBO Leaderboard 

Join us for our first official season this Winter from January to March.
At the end of the season, the top 8 Bladers will receive prizes totaling over $500!

Under no circumstances will World Beyblade Organization, Fighting Spirits Inc., its directors, members, or staff be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that arise from independent Events advertised on the website. .
