well i paticularly liked the interaction of shu and valt and the way they are setting up lane and shu is extremely interesting to watch. also they showed lane battling free scene ( though they did nnt show which bey free used). This episode was basically another one dedicated too lanes back story.

The part where hyuga is dissapointed that he did not get in and rantaro being strict was also cool and i guess he is getting good charachter development as a coach

I like how much this episode wraps up the cliff hanger stuff like lean Vs free and lean vs hyuga and that was all a great addition to the anime story

Pacing
The pacing is kinda off in the beginning with the hyuga thing which was kinda off but i can live with it

And the pep talk scene yeah it was heartwarming tbh because of the setting so overall nothing bommer happens but just a great addition to the overall story i rate this a 8/10

Wow Lean is incredibly strong. He beat Hyuga, Free, Lui, and other countless strong bladers.

Has anyone noticed that Lean's launcher was red, not black, when he battled against Hyuga in their flashback battle that happened back in ep 15? Lean used his black sparking launcher against Lui and then only got broken when they were about to start their 2nd battle in episode 16. I mean, maybe it's just a little error during production.

Yeah he prob did in the anime. I’m guessing the animators maybe just didn’t have the files for it to use since it’s not and I bey do they just didn’t show it.
