I'm surprised Gwyn didn't use his Awakened state. And I expected more from Arthur stupid carp carp.
Beyblade Burst GT Episode #49 (March 6, 2020)
This has to be the best episode of GT so far . It also had the best animation .
I wouldn't normally watch the raw, but damn that was good!
In terms of battling competency, I still understand where the hate for Amane comes from and questioning why he's a member of the team. But this episodes shows Delta & Drum completely had faith in Amane for him and Drum to win, but Amane still let them go. A team isn't about picking the strongest people, but a group that can work together and have faith in each other.
Gwyn and Delta became the perfect antithesis to each other in their relationship to one another. Once Delta let go of his grudge and acknlowedged Drum's respect for him, he grew stronger as a person and a blader, while Gwyn's cynical perspective on the world started to shatter once he met Drum.
Drum using Ignition Boost as a dodging move. Nice.
Is it just me or did Diabolos not only save Dragon but give it more Spin Power?
One of the best battles where no one got a Burst Finish, that's pretty rad.
I was starting to question why an over finish would count as an overall loss for the team, and then I remembered two Over Finishes are worth two points. So it makes sense.

SOOOO Hyped for Amane's revenge, but will we see Drum vs. Delta?
So Gwynn just.....didn’t get any development on the “becoming a good person” side of things?????? I mean ok I guess but.....kinda a big plot point tbh. I mean the episode was still insanely good tho.

Aren't there 52 episodes?
It could be the following:
Episode 50: Amane beats Arthur
Episode 51: Drum beats Gwyn (Possibly with Master Dragon?)
Episode 52: Drum vs Delta, or Valt/Aiga
This episode was great. I’m more excited about grasping his true potential and crushing Arthur next week.

You never know
I think the final battle is Gwyn vs Drum. I noticed Generate looks darker when Diabolos spin finished. It might be damaged.
I hope that battle wore out the imperial layerbase, cause they better do master dragon. then again I wont be suprised if they dont, given the manga is way more well written that the anime, but I hope they do.
Why was Gwyn screaming when he savagely smacked Drum's hand. I also think Gwyn is on some demonic carp.

It's pretty ironic how Drum wanted to be his friend for 20 episodes now.
well hes never had one and would rather just be with his equations. and being rejected by society his whole life, what if drum ends up rejecting him later??? thats prob what hes thinking, but idk. based on the manga tho this is the best answer I have

Also why didn't Gwyn use his Awakened state in ep 49. Or how does Gwyn eat or live outside of battling.

He thinks friends are a waste of time
Friends are nothing more than a fleeting illusion, you can count on no one but yourself.

it doesnt show him outside in the manga, just panels demonstrating society rejecting him for pretty much all his life.

It might be cool, but it also might screw all the Imperial Awakening stuff

Gwynn knows everything with mathematics and science. Except the friendship. He doesnt know how it works at all, that's why he's so scared. It's basically "Into the Unknown" from Frozen 2. No joke.
