Bey Tournaments India - Read Rules in 1st Post!

There were many in Mumbai in Inorbit Mall. Check out the events section on the Funskool India website to know when/where the next one will be.

You would think that, after a while of seeing no other way, they would adhere to our events at least, because that is all their kids have.

EXACTLY.

If I were to draw up an analogy, it would be such-

Attending WBO tourneys is like buying fake beys. As the Original beys are unavailable (reference to official tournaments), resorting to fake beys is the only option.
Now, anything that's fake, has NO value whatsoever; when compared to the original.
This is what the parents tend to believe in.

Therefore, instead of following the "Something's better than nothing" principle, parents tend to resort for "nothing".

All their kids have? That might be true if beyblade was the only thing in one's life. Parents have many other offerings that pull a person out of beyblade itself, forget the tournaments. Smile
I think this is also one of the major reasons why we have more inactive members than we have active members from India.

However, its not about a tournament being official or unofficial. Its the expectations they have with these tourneys.
When paying the fees and learning about our BeyRank (wherein we are ranked internationally), parents tend to assume that a WBO tourney is an Official tourney, i.e. its officiated by some LARGE organization, such as Hasbro.
However, when they realize that its an unofficial tournament (referring to the context mentioned above; and not referring to a tournament being non-WBO approved), they have the question- Why the fees then? Why all the hype of a World Rank?

Instead, they'd opt for an "official" tourney (that actually doesn't even exist here).

The tournaments mentioned above (Funskool tourneys), though "official", are similar to the small-scale TRU tourneys held in USA and Canada(not referring to the current event they are gonna organize, which seems to be quite big).

There are some who do understand the truth behind all this though (that is exactly why we, the active members from India, are still here), and hence do not hesitate while letting their child participate.

Then again, there are MANY more factors that actually play a role in this. The point mentioned by us is just a small part of the cause.

P.S. I am 100% sure that if we were talking about this 5-6 years ago, we would have had no problems. Back then, Beyblade was as popular here as 'tis in other countries. Nowadays, its too trivial a thing, which is why parents tend to avoid it...
When i was new here...i was also hesitant to pay for passport and tried really hard to convince Kai-V about giving us some concession or compansasion in the fees but later i realised that we are getting much more than we are paying...at that time i had thought of something which i want to share with u guys...This is some thing i want to share and want some of us to implement in there locality....get the blader around u and have unofficial tournaments with 50 INR, say u get 10-20 participant then offer a Blader passport of WBO to the winners as a prize this way they will not have to pay much for passport and by conducting few tournaments like this u can have many (atleast sufficient) participants in ur locality to have WBO tournaments
Ok well nik1392 ill try to use your trick and well now lets stop discussing about this time will change and so will the peoples mentality now lets try and think about holding our future tournaments well i guess i have a chance of coming first until nobody comes back well i will try to come first in our next tournament in October named nothing else than "Into The Fourth Dimension".

Well zeneo came up with a name for our tournament in diwali when nobody will return-

That's a funny name XD. But seeing how I suck even with the best parts, I dont think I will be the winner for MFB/Zero-G. However, I 'might' have an edge for HMS/Plastics. Then again, Janstarblast will defeat me(like he always has) if he attends XD.

The name for the October event is quite good. However, I might come up with another name for the Diwali event if I can make it.

Oh yes, most of us will have expired passports by then.

Ha Ha my passport will not expire come on dont lose hope in your own beys and your own skills but in zero g i will be no.1 ( in mumbai)

Like Ginga Always Says - Have Some Beyspirit !!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Beaten by Ashton Pinto
Hyderabad might have a tournament on October 2nd.We are not confirmed yet.
Well i wish all parts of India has tournaments every month seriously if we were not busy in our studies there would be a tournament every week and i wish that the WBBA takes some interest in India so we can go to the world championships.

Ok so spikebeyrahul you will be using nik1392s idea onwars only right .
See this before you say anything about my post
I'm not giving up. I'm just saying that you should not over-estimate me or under-estimate yourself.

I wish I was in class 8 at this time.. Class 11 means I have to almost leave beyblading next year :\
Well even if you leave beyblading next year like you wont quit blading right you will start again in you vacations right?

Yeah I'am under pressure now that too I'am just in 7th grade.I dont know how I will handle my craze about Cricket and Beyblade with my studies.
Well guys, its not that you should leave your hobby completely.. I have never left it since 2004, in fact i played the most in 10th, but like i get normally, i got 1st class..(i stopped playing cricket though, i was very crazy about it & used to play every evening.)try to manage your time., all of us have a limited time, we all are busy, etc .A little blading after completing studies doesnt matter, as it at least refreshes our mind, OK for beylovers. Remember its just 1 life that we have, and we should make the best use of it. Leaving the game completely wont do any good, as blading also doesnot do any harm...
i'm not leaving beyblade this or next year, although i'm in class 11,coming to tournaments and having fun with them relaxes me,soothes my nerves and my mind is refreshed!
As to what SpikeBeyRahul said, this way of saying 50 INR won't be interesting-cause only the strongest bladers will be worthy of a passport and i don't think others will be keen on paying over and over again,we might get maybe 1 or 2 players this way, although that number is even precious
i went to the Infiniti Mall,Malad tournament, the tournament was called off due to lack of participants, just 4 of us,i tried to convince the others but they said it's better to get into free tournaments than paying 10 USD,and the National Park,as they said, would be uncool-That's why i never told about the tournament even to Ashton, cause they would laugh at me,

zeneo- obviously therez no point in giving passport to the winner of the last tourney again (if winners are same for both tourneys) so everytime u will be giving passport to new one (even if they dont win) thus eventually everyone will get a passport

We've battled just twice(MFB), yo! XD

Oh yes, I am really looking forward to the Diwali tourney, as that is one tourney in which I have a chance to come! Grin

I really hope to see you soon... Smile
