What this is: A story that was originally created for laughs, has turned into something important to me, and hopefully, interesting to many, many viewers.

Max walked up to the beystadium, and took out his Draciel. Brian followed, but with his Oregon. Both bladders locked each other into a stare down, as they took out their launchers.
“3…†The announcer said.
“2!†yelled Max.
“1!â€
“LET IT RI- “ the crowd said, rudely interrupted by a deep, and slightly threatening voice.
“Stop right there… we all know the winner, so don’t waste time! Let’s get down to it – give us the trophy and we don’t hurt anyone, don’t give us the trophy, well then, we all know what that means…†said the mysterious man.
When Max looked carefully at him, he saw that the man was wearing a mask, from his neck up to his nose. He was also wearing a hood, which fitted well with his dark cloak. He had two swords behind him, which was slightly appalling to see. When he looked closely, he guessed one was a katana, and the other the carp sword, also known as the hand and a half sword. A stranger looking man was behind him, and he looked much like Ace, with the familiar green and grey cloak. Both Max and Ace found this strange, and their surprise was only growing. Then, the man dressed like Ace took of his hood, which made Ace’s face white with surprise.
“Long time no see… brother.†He whispered.
“No way! You… you’re alive?†Ace asked, shocked by the comment.
“Yes… I was dying, when YOU left me there, but then that’s when the good man came…†he said.
Suddenly, Ace zoned out…

“Ready? Let’s go brother. 3…†said Ace.
“2!†the reply came.
“1,†said Ace, whilst pushing in his winder.
“LET IT RIP!â€
Lightning Phoenix was in the stadium. So was Fata Phoenix. Fata was the word describing fates. Both beys clashed against each other. The hits dealt equal damage, and the match was going to end soon. Ace pulled out his trump card.
“Vacuum cut!†he yelled.
But his brother, Akahito, wasn’t one to back down.
“When the fates are with me, I can’t lose! Phoenix Fates!†he yelled.
A giant ring surrounded Lightning Phoenix. 4 symbols covered the ring, symmetrically. Every 2 seconds, a different symbol glowed. Then, it stopped on the one that resembled ice.
“Huh… what’s this?†asked Ace.
“Haha, it’s my new move brother. You see, in phoenix fates, there are four elements – fire, ice, sky, and earth. And since it’s landed on ice, that is the element which will be used. Your fate has been decided now; there is nothing you can do… Special move: The Fates: Ice Shard!†Akahito replied.
Soaring Phoenix attacked, but Fata Phoenix was covered in ice spikes. It wasn’t able to deal any damage. Then, Fata Phoenix started to increase in spin, and then hit Soaring Phoenix. Ace watched, his mouth in a perfect O, as Lightning Phoenix flew into the air.
“NO! I WON’T LOSE! RAAAAAHHHHH!!†he yelled.
Akahito felt a strange sensation. He saw Ace was being surrounded by fire. He reached out his hand, but Akahito was unsure what that meant. Suddenly, from the sky, his bey came crashing down, and broke apart Fata Phoenix. The impact was so hard, that the stadium, along with the surrounding structure broke apart. Akahito screamed as the structure fell off the support and onto him. He smiled as he saw Ace walk up to him, who was still covered in that fire. Ace looked at him, his fiery eyes gouging into him, as he bent down. His brother reached out his hand, but Ace smacked it away. Then, he made one, single punch, straight into Akahito’s stomach, took his new bey, Soaring Phoenix, and walked away.
Chapter twelve: A new tournament type!
Chapter thirteen: Ace reborn
Jack, Ace and Ryu walked to their houses. On the way, Ace found a beypark, where they then decided to go. They walked up to the stadium, and played the first match. It was Ryu vs Ace –
“3… 2… 1… LET IT RIP!†yelled Ryu.
“Wha… oh yeah… let it rip,†Ace murmured.
Ninja Phoenix stood in the centre of the stadium. Ace continued to look down, ignoring the beybattle. Ice Drago circled the stadium as it switched to its ice tip, doubling its speed instantly. But Ace continued to stare down, as Ninja Phoenix was hit. Ice Drago kept its constant attack, dealing more damage than normal. Ryu had perfected her tip change to suc a peak, that the ice tip would turn to fire on the moment of impact, and then back to ice, right after it! Already, after only 20 seconds, Ninja Phoenix was wobbling.
“What the hell are you doing Ace? Get on with it, or you’re gonna lose!†yelled Jack.
“I… I… I don’t know…†Ace said at the final moment, as Ninja Phoenix was smashed straight out of the dish.
“Alright, let’s try this again, I wanna practice my insta – switch against both of you.†Ryu exclaimed.
“Alright, let’s do an all vs all battle.†Jack replied.
Ace walked away, and picked up his beyblade. Then he came trudging back, still staring at the ground. Jack walked up to the small dish and readied his launcher.
“3!†Ryu stated.
“2…†Ace murmured.
“1!†shouted Jack.
“LET IT RIP!â€
Once again, Ice Drago started circling the stadium. Only this time, it kept its normal grip flat core RC. Ninja Phoenix swooped into the centre whilst Jack’s bey followed Ryu’s. Both beys fought each other hard, using one trick after the other. But Jack was still to learn all of his bey’s power, as it flung itself at the edge of the stadium.
Ryu seized the chance quickly, as she said, “NOW! SPECIAL MOVE: Heaven’s Dragon!â€
Ice Drago swooped around Cyclone Riptide, and smacked it hard, onto the other side of the stadium in fact. But Ryu’s special move hadn't finished yet, it started giving out an array of barrage attacks. It was only the spikes on Cyclone Riptide, which were keeping Ryu from doing a full scale attack… For if she did that, then the spikes would also deal just as much damage as they took.
“You better give up now Jack, unless you want Cyclone Riptide to be crushed.†Ryu stated.
“NO! Me and Riptide will never give up… NEVER!†Jack exclaimed back.
Suddenly, Ace woke up. Wide – eyed, he shook his head and swayed his hand; immediately, Ninja Phoenix responded. It ran opposite Ryu, and smacked Ice Drago back from where it came!
“He’s right, we’ll never give up… And you know that just as well as I do Ryu!†Ace exclaimed.
“Now let’s get this party started. SPECIAL MOVE: Amaterasu’s wrath.â€
Ninja Phoenix launched itself into the sky, towards the sun, and turned itself to face Cyclone Riptide. By the time Jack and Ryu looked up, Ninja Phoenix had formed a perfect silhouette; at this point, Jack knew something was gonna happen. And less than a second later, a giant beam of fire was shot down at Jack’s bey. It hit hone, and had so much power, that Cyclone Riptide was wedged into a hole in the ground!
“Thanks Jack,†Ace said, in his kind voice, “what you said today, is what made me realise, that just because I accidently did something to my brother a year ago, doesn't mean I should give up on beyblading. It doesn't mean I should give up my passion, or on myself in fact.â€
“Aw… Well… I’m glad you've regained your blader’s spirit, because we are going to be training all day and night.†Jack said.
“Uh Uh Uh, I’m going to have to take those beys and repair them, we can’t have ourselves at a disadvantage can we?†Ryu said.
They walked together in silence, until they reached Jack’s home. He went in after saying goodbye… to Cyclone Riptide. Ace and Ryu continued walking until Ryu reached her house.
Then Ace asked, “Um… Ryu?â€
She looked back, “Mmmmhmmm?â€
“Well… uh… I was wondering… if… you’d like to be my partner for the tag team tournament?†he replied.
“Oh… well… I don’t mind. Let’s team up and win together!†she said, with her graceful smile.
“Okay then, I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye!†Ace replied, as he walked down the street to his make shift camp.
If anyone had looked carefully that day, they would have noticed a big, beaming smile on his face. Chapter fourteen: Secrets revealed

A boy was walking down the road, when he was suddenly smacked sown by a guy about the age of 15, in blue trousers and a dark green shirt. He wasn't able to see much due to a hood covering the guy's face.
The guy spoke quickly and directly, obviously rushing what he was trying to say. "Sorry!" he yelled, as he waved.
"I wonder who that was..." wondered the boy.
--Meanwhile--
"I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! I'm LAT-OW!" Jack yelled, as he accidentally shoved someone... again. Quickly, he waved back to say he was sorry, then carried on running. After around an hour, he reached a fork in the road, and found Ace and Ryu standing by the tree. He sighed as he walked up to them.
"You're late." said Ace, in his never changing monotonous, commanding voice.
Jack ignored him, and walked briskly to Ryu. He asked, "Well, have you got it?"
Ryu fiddled around in her bag, then took out a blue-black colored bit protector. She then took out something that, to Ace, seemed a very thick metal frame. Lastly, she took out a very small tip and a grey almost-circular part.
"This, what the parts of your bey will look like. This is a slightly different system, and quite new. Now this is how you join them up..." Ryu said.
She walked up to the tree and then showed it to both Ace, and Jack. It took them a while, but they finally understood how the parts worked, and what they were called. Ace's bey was called Duo Arc BD145RF; Ryu's bey was called Phantom Draco 230MB; and Jack's bey was now Flash Thaloc S130R2F.
"Let's test them out!" Jack said.
"Alright..." said Ace.
"N-no-no!" Ryu said, too late.
"3...2...1... LET IT RIP!" they yelled.
Flash Thaloc circled the stadium at an incredible pace. Ace's bey was putting in a lot of speed as well. Duo Arc suddenly went out of control, and shot out towards Jack's beyblade, which easily dodged. Ace's bey was about to shoot itself out of the stadium, but before it could, Jack's bey suddenly propelled itself at Duo, resulting in a stadium out for both beys. Both boys stood there in surprise, there mouths hanging in shock.
"Wh-Whaa?" Jack asked.
"These beys have a different weight, and they are much more efficient. You just aren't able to control them yet." stated Ryu.
"So what do we do?" Ace replied, almost in desperation.
"Battle me." said Max, as he walked towards the bridge.
"Wha-- What!?" Jack asked.
Max stared at him calmly, and replied, "Battle me. It'll be a great way to see if you're fit to control the new beys. When I first got Draciel MS, it took me quite some time to figure it out. You'll have to battle me to prove that your bey can trust you Jack. There's no other way."
"He's right. That's why I'll battle you... Ace!" came a voice.
Ace, Ryu and Jack looked up, to find Ray leaning on the bridge. They stared at him in disbelief, until another unknown voice interrupted their thoughts.
"You three know nothing about this do you? I'll make a deal... You beat me... Ryu... and I let you keep your bey. I'll go easy just to make sure."
The three friends looked back, once again in shock, to find Kai walking towards them.
"AWESOME! I am totally psyched!" yelled Jack.
"Then may the battle begin!" they all yelled.
Chapter Five: Dangerous Deals
The bladers briskly walked to the nearest stadiums, and readied their launchers. It took Jack a while to get to grips with the slightly different launcher, but he figured it out. The raised their arms and slotted the beyblades in.
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!" they all yelled.

Flash Thaloc circled the stadium. Jack was putting all of his concentration into controlling Thaloc - he'd realised these weren't the average HMS beys... they'd take a lot more concentration to control. Draciel on the other hand, was spinning freely, and calmly in the centre, reflecting Max's emotions very well.
"You've got to relax yourself Jack. You're not going to be able to think properly, or beat me if you don't relax, " said Max, in his determined, yet soothing voice.
Meanwhile, Ryu was having the same problems. Her bey, Phantom Draco, was struggling from Kai's constant attacks. Suddenly, Kai swiped his hand, and Dranzer responded - it slashed at phantom and smashed out of the stadium.
"I warned you Ryu. You've lost, which means you lose your beyblade as well." Kai said.
"No! I will beat you! I will NOT lose Phantom!" yelled Ryu.

"GO DRIGER!!" yelled Ray, as his bey swiped from side to side.
Ace struggled to dodge the attacks that were dashing in. Every second, driger dashed in from different angles, and Duo Arc was being forced onto the edge of the stadium... Every moment in this battle was giving driger the upper hand. Ace was still trying to become accustomed to the new beyblade, but he knew that even after gaining control, he would be doing worse than Ray.

Draciel slashed at Flash quickly, as it was forced to the edge of the stadium. Jack knew his beyblade was losing spin quickly. The new tip made his bey more powerful, to give smash, but it reduced the stamina. He had to buck up! He knew what to do, and how to do it. But Flash Thaloc just wasn't responding...
"Now Draciel! Full power smash!" yelled Max, shooting his hand straight up, as if to symbolise his victory.
"NO! Flash! Do something! I am not letting you beat me! Cut him! CUT! CUT!" yelled Jack, in fury.
The sudden change of Jack's emotions made Flash Thaloc react violently, as it slashed, or to Jack, cut, from all angles at Draciel. Surprisingly, the cuts began to make a pattern, which then glowed. Jack's bey was now slashing furiously, as it began to turn a bright orange. Draciel was slowing down by masses, but it wasn't enough.
"Ahhh! Do something Flash! Bermuda's wrath! GO!!!" Jack yelled, in surprise.
The glowing cuts then sent out a light towards the sky, and then unleashed a blue force, that changed the movement of air around it. Suddenly, Draciel was covered in a big bubble, unable to move. Then, the water started to seep into Max's beyblade, thus slowing it down. Both Jack's, and Max's beyblades stopped at the same time. Jack fell onto the ground, exhausted.

"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!" both bladers cried in sync. Jack felt the strong vibrations of the 2 beyblades clashing against each other pulse through his body. 'These guys are pretty good' he thought.
"GO NOW RUSHING BOAR MS!!!!" one blader yelled. Jack could sense from the way the blader focused on the battle that he wasn't just fooling around. Suddenly, rushing boar ms started to retreat, it just stood in the center, completely vulnerable to any attack!
"Now, Blitz striker... ATTACK!!!"the opponent yelled. Rushing boar was smashed into the air...
' So that's it huh?' Jack thought. Little did he know, he was so wrong...
"DEVIL'S HORNS!!" yelled a blader. Jack looked up... 'No way! How is it still
spinning?!'
Down came rushing boar ms, with two claws on either end of the attack ring, smashing into blitz striker's bit chip.
"And the winner is... Our very own Harlow Krace!" The crowd roared out the winner's name over and over again, until the stands shook with the noise of 2000 stamping feet andany more voices.
'Alright it's now or never,' Jack thought.
"I challenge you to a battle!" he said. Harlow didn't seem to notice.
"OI!!" Jack cried. The crowd instantly shut up and stared at him, their eyes gouging into him, as if wanting to burn a hole right through his heart.
"Alright, if it's a battle you want, it's a battle you'll get..." said an unknown voice.
"But I didn't challenge you."
"Doesn't matter. You can't come in here, stop a public tournament and expect to get what you want. If I win, you scram... GOT IT? And just who the heck are you even?"
Jack glanced at his bey Giga Riptide and then smiled. "Me? I'm Jack..."
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!" they yelled.
"Now, Giga Riptide, let's finish this quickly... Great Aqua Tornado!"
"Oh I see how we're playing it, lets make this quick and snappy. Soaring Pheonix... Vacuum cut!" the opponent yelled. Both beys were at full power. The speed from soaring phoenix literally cut the air around it, creating a vacuum. Suddenly, the tornado dissipated. It was obvious that Riptide was wobbling.
"Well, we're not done yet, heck no! Soaring Pheonix, go."
Jack noticed that Soaring Pheonix ms's speed increased - it was moving back up the stadium so quickly, it was hard to keep track of it. Then it jumped up from the side.
"Sky Dive Mirage!" the opponent yelled. Soaring phoenix did a loop above the stadium and landed on the other side, having 4 times the attack power.
" Whoa, that's good, but it has one flaw, what happens if it is countered? This - GIGA AQUA SHIELD!"said Jack.
A giant, thick wall of water appeared in the stadium, spraying splashes of water in all directions. The uproar was immense, the crowd wanting more and more. Both beys clashed against each other, creating a massive explosion; when the smoke cleared, 2 beys scratched and beaten lay on the floor.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... The match between the the strongest blader in the district, and a newbie, IS A TIE." said the DJ.
"Man you're strong! So what's your name, I forgot to ask in all the excitement." Jack questioned.
"I'm Ace Hatawari, from the ninja of the wind."
"I'm gonna need a new blade, know any good places?"
"I just might know someone..." replied Ace.

“So, where exactly are we going Ace?†Jack queried. “I’ve heard rumours about this super good mechanic, who also beyblades really well, are we going to him?â€
Ace replied, â€Yes… Now… I’m going to go ahead and buy some spare parts so hang tight here, alright?†He walked away, soon out of sight by anyone around. Unnoticed, a quiet shadow stalked him to the shop…
At the shop:
“I’ll take this launcher and the metal semi-flat running core… Thanks!†said a customer. Just as Ace was walking out, he heard a voice.
“Stop right there Ace Hatawari!â€
“What do you want?â€
“You know what I want, so lets get down to it. The name’s Dan Rumaru, and my Slash Eagle ms is going to take you DOWN!â€
“3… 2… 1… LET IT RIP!â€
The blades were out, and spinning as fast as ever. Soaring phoenix was already heading up for an attack. But Dan had a counter for everything Ace did, and left no opening for an attack. The anger inside Ace was welling up, but he kept his cool.
'That's it, there's the opening!' Ace thought.
“Now, Vacuum cut!†A vacuum was created, dragging both beys into the centre of the stadium. But soaring phoenix was fast enough for the vaccum to not affect its rotation speed. Slash Eagle, on the other hand, was a different matter.
But then, Dan shouted, “If you think that’s enough to stop me, you’re SO wrong. Now Slash Eagle… HOWLING ARROW!†Slash Eagle had a sudden burst of speed, and charged straight for Soaring Pheonix. The impact was harder than expected as soaring phoenix flew out of the stadium.
“THERE… the match has ended, hah!†yelled Dan.
“You don’t think much do you? Well brawn don’t mean nothing without brain – look up; Sky Dive Mirage! †Down came soaring phoenix, with twice the normal speed. It smashed straight into Slash Eagle, creating a massive explosion. When the thick smoke cleared, soaring phoenix lay on the floor and it was the Slash Eagle that was still spinning!
Ace took his beyblade, with 4 massive cuts spreading across it, and walked away silently, ashamed of his defeat.
An hour later
“Alright, we’re finally there,†Jack said, his face showing expressions of excitement.
“Look,†Ace said, “It’s Ryu’s big beybeam, the so-called best bey garage!†The two friends walked in to the creaky old garage.
Curiously, Jack asked, “Are you sure someone actually lives here?â€
“Sure, I’m sure!â€
The door opened without a single creak… its hinges must have been oiled recently.
“Helllo! Thanks for your beys, and yes, I’ll fix ‘em right up!†exclaimed a voice, whilst snatching their beyblades.
“Um… thanks, I guess?†Jake said in a slightly quizzical, and confused voice.
“Yikes! These are SERIOUSLY damaged, I mean really how did this happen – the phoenix one is practically broken!†he asked.
'Dan… I’ll get you next time…' Ace thought.
"Well... you guys may as well go, because this is gonna take a while. By the way I'm Ryu Kogo."
2 days later
"Alright Ryu, we're here for our beyblad-"
"HOLY RUNNING CORE are those are beyblades? They look as good as new."
"Yep, they sure are, and I added a little something on them for you. Try them out on me; I'm strong enough for the both of you when I have my Ice Drago ms with me. "
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!" They all exclaimed.
Ace replied, â€Yes… Now… I’m going to go ahead and buy some spare parts so hang tight here, alright?†He walked away, soon out of sight by anyone around. Unnoticed, a quiet shadow stalked him to the shop…
At the shop:
“I’ll take this launcher and the metal semi-flat running core… Thanks!†said a customer. Just as Ace was walking out, he heard a voice.
“Stop right there Ace Hatawari!â€
“What do you want?â€
“You know what I want, so lets get down to it. The name’s Dan Rumaru, and my Slash Eagle ms is going to take you DOWN!â€
“3… 2… 1… LET IT RIP!â€
The blades were out, and spinning as fast as ever. Soaring phoenix was already heading up for an attack. But Dan had a counter for everything Ace did, and left no opening for an attack. The anger inside Ace was welling up, but he kept his cool.
'That's it, there's the opening!' Ace thought.
“Now, Vacuum cut!†A vacuum was created, dragging both beys into the centre of the stadium. But soaring phoenix was fast enough for the vaccum to not affect its rotation speed. Slash Eagle, on the other hand, was a different matter.
But then, Dan shouted, “If you think that’s enough to stop me, you’re SO wrong. Now Slash Eagle… HOWLING ARROW!†Slash Eagle had a sudden burst of speed, and charged straight for Soaring Pheonix. The impact was harder than expected as soaring phoenix flew out of the stadium.
“THERE… the match has ended, hah!†yelled Dan.
“You don’t think much do you? Well brawn don’t mean nothing without brain – look up; Sky Dive Mirage! †Down came soaring phoenix, with twice the normal speed. It smashed straight into Slash Eagle, creating a massive explosion. When the thick smoke cleared, soaring phoenix lay on the floor and it was the Slash Eagle that was still spinning!
Ace took his beyblade, with 4 massive cuts spreading across it, and walked away silently, ashamed of his defeat.
An hour later
“Alright, we’re finally there,†Jack said, his face showing expressions of excitement.
“Look,†Ace said, “It’s Ryu’s big beybeam, the so-called best bey garage!†The two friends walked in to the creaky old garage.
Curiously, Jack asked, “Are you sure someone actually lives here?â€
“Sure, I’m sure!â€
The door opened without a single creak… its hinges must have been oiled recently.
“Helllo! Thanks for your beys, and yes, I’ll fix ‘em right up!†exclaimed a voice, whilst snatching their beyblades.
“Um… thanks, I guess?†Jake said in a slightly quizzical, and confused voice.
“Yikes! These are SERIOUSLY damaged, I mean really how did this happen – the phoenix one is practically broken!†he asked.
'Dan… I’ll get you next time…' Ace thought.
"Well... you guys may as well go, because this is gonna take a while. By the way I'm Ryu Kogo."

"Alright Ryu, we're here for our beyblad-"
"HOLY RUNNING CORE are those are beyblades? They look as good as new."
"Yep, they sure are, and I added a little something on them for you. Try them out on me; I'm strong enough for the both of you when I have my Ice Drago ms with me. "
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!" They all exclaimed.

A tsunami appeared out of the attack ring, heading straight for Ice Drago's Bit chip. But there was no affect when it hit. Ace already expected this and had prepared himself, "Vacuum cut!" However the vacuum only sucked in Riptide, making no affect on Ice Drago!
"Ice Drago can take these hits easily, it is a super stable base and will withstand even the toughest of attacks. You can't beat me!" said Ryu.
Soaring pheonix moved up the stadium much quicker than before... it was literally teleporting from one end to another.
"Wha... how?"Ace questioned.
"Don't you see, Riptide should have lost spin ages ago and Pheonix shouldn't be going this fast, I've put a high velocity weight disk in pheonix to increase the speed and a heavier weight disk in riptde for much better stability and defense. I haven't just fixed your beys, I've improved them."
"She's right, and that means... I am gonna beat you!" cried Jack.
"I wouldn't bet on that, it's time to finish them off Ice Drago... Ice Slice Tornado!" Ice drago started to move around the stadium at an incredible pace... it couldn't even be seen! Eventually, it was covered in ice and making a strong wind. The wind started to turn into an ice tornado.
"JACK! You have to stop that, or we're gonna lose." cried Ace.
'I have to do something or we'll lose, that's right, I have to stop this and when I say something, I never go back on it!' Jack yelled at the top of his voice, "GO RIPTIDE! AQUA DOME!" Somewhere in the lonely streets of Kagoshima, the shadows in the dark discussed...
"Now remember... this is a class 1 objective - it must NOT be failed!" whispered a voice.
The reply came in a petrified voice, "We understand sir, we will not fail you."
The shadows quickly skulked away, noticed by few around.
An hour later, at the city gates of Miyazaki, three friends stopped.
"Whooo, I am so tired. But I am totally pumped up to fight new people and discover what lies beyond Miyazaki!" said Jack, in his familiar determined but premature voice. "By the way Ace, who taught you to be so good in beyblading in just 1 year, I mean I was practising for 5 years but you, you were just awesome!"
"Master Ray taught me... he was much stronger than me, and I always lost..." Ace replied.
They continued walking in silence until Ryu asked, "Maybe we should go to
Hiroshima, I've heard Max of the famous blade breakers lives there. Perhaps he could help us out!"
"That's a great idea let's go there and we might even find some new bladers to battle!"
"Stop right there... because I challenge you to a beybattle! If you lose, then I take your beyblades!" a voice exclaimed.
"I'll take care of this one guys, you go ahead, I'll catch up" Ryu said.
"3... 2... 1.. LET IT RIP!"
The last things Ace and Jack felt then and there was the the power of two very strong beyblades smahing into each other at full force.
Ice Drago was dodging every attack that the other bey used. "That's it... I am going to destroy your Ice Drago... Go Gatling Blaze... get HIM!" An unexpected rush of speed in the bey took Ryu by surprise. Ice Drago was being forced to the edge... she had to think of something quick! Then, when Gatling Blaze went back slightly for a smash attack, she found a counter. Gatling Blaze dashed forward to attack but Ice Drago bent sown suddenly. It bumped the top part of Gatling Blaze and smacked it straight into the air.
"NOW! Ice Drago, Ice slice tornado!" cried Ryu. Ice Drago started swirling around and the friction created a tornado, not of ice, but FIRE! "You... you... believed in me so much that you perfected that move! Alright! Special move! Fire Slice Tornado!"
"Haha, if you think that will stop me, you're wrong! Go Gatling... Blazing Shoot!" Gatling Blaze turned upside down shot straight down, into the fire tornado. The tornado was dissipating and even Ice Drago was starting to wobble... "Your attack type Ice Drago can't do anything now... HAH! You might wanna know my name when you want revenge so listen well - Grate.
"Who told Ice Drago is an attack type? Special Move: Frozen Shield! My bey is a balance type... So NEXT time, think before you speak!" The ice on the running core made a friction-less surface, which made the speed increase drastically. Then, the ice spread around the bey using that speed. A dome of ice was formed which blocked Blazing Shoot and sent Gatling Blaze flying into the edge of the stadium. "And now, I'm gonna finish you off; GO ICE DRAGO!" Using its ice running core, it went for a full-on smash attack at Gatling Claw. The last thing that happened in that battle was an explosion with the sight of Gatling Blaze flying out of the stadium.
"Well then, looks like I win. Now give me your Running core, that grip-flat core could be really useful." barked Ryu. "Oh yeah, and if you want revenge, my name's Ryu Kogo... Dont EVER forget it!"
The boy walked away, with an angry face.
Meanwhile, at the park
"So... when do you think she'll be here?"asked Jack, impatient as ever.
"If anyone knows who can beat who, it's her. She wouldn't accept the challenge for no reason. She should be here soon." Ace replied. "DUCK!"
Suddenly a beyblade came crashing down onto a tree, which then broke apart several branches, that would've fallen on them if it weren't for Ace's sharp reactions.
"Well... looks like you guys are keen enough to not be beaten that easily, so let's battle! Come on Ace, remember me?" a familiar voice asked.
"DAN! Let's go!" yelled Ace.
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!"
"Now, should I pound you first and then humiliate you or the other way round?" Dan asked sarcastically.
"Why don't you put your blade where your face is?" Ace replied. "Now go Soaring phoenix... I'm not gonna quit... Sky Dive Mirage!" There was only one way to use this move... Soaring phoenix went up the hill in the park, which considerably lowered its spin, and then looped around the hill into the hill...
"You don't get it... my eagle ms has an impenetrable attack ring. You can't damage it!" yelled Dan.
"I haven't finished yet, stop interrupting me, I HATE being interrupted! Phoenix Jin Mist Crash!" Soaring phoenix, which was in the air, teleported just behind Slash Eagle and did a super strong upper attack, hitting the weight disk, not the attack ring. But will this be a strong enough attack for Ace to win? Or will his reduced spin from climbing the hill be his downfall?

The beyblade was smashed up into the air, and the look of surprise started to spread against Dan's face. "Well, it looks like I win this round Dan, so why don't you just go and train!"
The surprise on Dan's face started vanish as he came up with a plan; The surprise had turned into a smile... "Slash Eagle isn't beaten yet... GO! DARK WING SLASH!" The beyblade was being surrounded in a dark aura, and started going even higher in the air! As the dark aura got higher, Dan suddenly lost control. "Ahhhaahahhah, get...ge...get HIM SLASH EAGLE! Kill hi... hi... him! RAAAAAAHHHH! Aw no, I can't even control it... AHAHAHAHAHA! KILL HI- no Slash Eagle, listen to me!" Dan clutched his hands on his heads and kneeled down; he then started to cry.
Ace realised he had to finish this quickly, or there would be two things hat would be ruined here - Dan's bey spirit, and the sport of beyblading itself.
He could not allow that to happen! "Fly like the wind Soaring Phoenix... GO! Soar into the sky, show him who the king of the air is! SPECIAL MOVE: Phoenix twin flames wind flash!" Ace's beyblade jumped into the air from the top of the hill and flew straight up. The bey turned on fire and and shot up! It smacked straight into Slash Eagle, and broke apart the attack ring from the weight disk and running core.
"But how did you get so much power, whilst going UP?" asked Dan.
"Me and Soaring Phoenix have a special bond, a bond that no-one can take from us. So no matter what you throw at us, we will beat you!" cried Ace. Dan walked up to the hill, and took the few remaining parts of his beyblade, then walked away.
"Nice battle Ace! You were awesome!" Jack said.
"Thanks, I really appresia-" Ace replied, interrupted by Ryu.
"GUYS! I WON. Also, here Ace, use this running core from now on. It will give you a pretty good combination from now on.
"Okay... Thanks!"
They walked, convinced that there was no more danger that they should be encountering anymore. Ryu noticed a slight difference in the way Ace was reacting to the things that were happening.
“What’s wrong, Ace?†asked Ryu.
“Oh… nothing… it’s just that… when Dan lost control… he started to go mad. I feel like I’m somehow responsible for all of this.†Ace replied.
They continued walking in their usual formation, Jack in the middle, Ace occasionally sprinting down, to look for food and Ryu at the back.
“So, where are we currently?†Jack asked.
Ryu opens up the map and says, “Well, we’re currently around 7 miles away from where Max of the blade breakers supposedly lives. So we’ll finally be there.â€

“Look, I can see it – Max has his own shop, let’s go there!†cried Ryu. All three ran in, their faces tingling in excitement. Jack searched around the shop, where he eventually found Max.
“Hi, I’m Jack and my beyblade is called Riptide MS. Can I train with you, I wasn’t able to watch the g revolution match, but I heard you are the guys who have perfected the HMS beys. Please train me! PLEAAAASE!†Jack cried.
“Alright, if you can beat both of your two friends here on your own, then I’ll train you. But, you will have to win. Do you accept?†asked Max.
“Yes… we do!†they all replied.

The three friends were casually walking down the city, to get to the riverside. Although, one looked a little bit jumpy to the people that passed by them...
"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?Are we there yet?" Jack asked repeatedly, in a monotonous and VERY annoying voice.
They walked on for another few minutes until they reached the battlezone...
"Ah... So you've finally showed up, have ya?" asked Max. "It sure took you guys long enough. Alright, let's get down to it. The first match will be Ryu vs Jack, and the second will be Jack vs Ace. Good luck!"
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!" they both yelled.
The beyblades were off, and spinning as fast as they ever would. Ice Drago was going for a quick finish, as it used its ice tip to smash into Riptide.
"Now I get to show you my new defense move! Go RIPTIDE! Rapid dodge!" yelled Jack.
Riptide started to dodge the attacks from ice drago at incredible speed, and not only that, it was also throwing in small hits after dodging! But after 10 dodges, Ryu had found a counter. The next time Ice Drago attacked, Riptide dodged. However, Ice Drago, literally reversed, and stopped Riptide from dodging.
"Well then, it looks like it's my time to shine... Go Ice Drago! Fire Slice Tornado!" cried Ryu.
The beyblade started to swirl around the stadium, creating a fire tornado with the friction on its tip. One thing had changed. Unfortunately, Jack didn't notice. Suddenly, Ice Drago jumped from the side, and turned upside down, facing Riptide. The fire tornado was, in simple words, going straight down, and hitting riptide. The impact was so hard, Riptide was shot straight out of the stadium.
"Sorry Jack, but it looks like I win!" said Ryu.
"Oh really? well, maybe you should focus Ryu - Riptide is still there, in fact, it is in the centre of the stadium!" replied Jack.
"But... that's impossible. I smacked it out personally!" she said.
"My NEW Special move: Water Clone. I realised that aqua dome had a big fault - even though it blocked all attacks from everywhere, it would take away tons of my spin. So I thought it would be easier if I was able to make two beys; this meant I needed more spin, but that ended up making me train all night, so that I was able to perfect this move. And NOW I have perfected it, which means my hard work will pay off!" Jack cried. "GO RIPTIDE MS!"
A bright light appeared in the beyblade, and it then engulfed the whole stadium. When it disappeared, Jack noticed that his beyblade had changed. The rounded edges on the attack ring had become spikes, and the green-blue color of the beyblade had changed into a dark green color, with the spikes being orange! A sudden burst of attack power shot out of Riptide, as it moved towards Ice Drago. There was no moment of impact, no sound of the attack rings clashing together, just Ice Drago being smacked out of the stadium without contact! The battle ended there and then, with confused faces all over of how this happened.
"So... uh... Max... WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED!?" asked Jack.
"Well... it looks like your beyblade evolved. The beyblade spirit in you and your trust in Riptide must have made it evolve." Max replied.
"Oh... Ok then... Ace get ready to be beaten by Cyclone Riptide. And after looking at it, I have a new plan in mind." Jack said.
"Bring it!" Ace replied.
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!"
Both Ace and Ryu sighed…
1 day later
The three friends were casually walking down the city, to get to the riverside. Although, one looked a little bit jumpy to the people that passed by them...
"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?Are we there yet?" Jack asked repeatedly, in a monotonous and VERY annoying voice.
They walked on for another few minutes until they reached the battlezone...
"Ah... So you've finally showed up, have ya?" asked Max. "It sure took you guys long enough. Alright, let's get down to it. The first match will be Ryu vs Jack, and the second will be Jack vs Ace. Good luck!"
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!" they both yelled.
The beyblades were off, and spinning as fast as they ever would. Ice Drago was going for a quick finish, as it used its ice tip to smash into Riptide.
"Now I get to show you my new defense move! Go RIPTIDE! Rapid dodge!" yelled Jack.
Riptide started to dodge the attacks from ice drago at incredible speed, and not only that, it was also throwing in small hits after dodging! But after 10 dodges, Ryu had found a counter. The next time Ice Drago attacked, Riptide dodged. However, Ice Drago, literally reversed, and stopped Riptide from dodging.
"Well then, it looks like it's my time to shine... Go Ice Drago! Fire Slice Tornado!" cried Ryu.
The beyblade started to swirl around the stadium, creating a fire tornado with the friction on its tip. One thing had changed. Unfortunately, Jack didn't notice. Suddenly, Ice Drago jumped from the side, and turned upside down, facing Riptide. The fire tornado was, in simple words, going straight down, and hitting riptide. The impact was so hard, Riptide was shot straight out of the stadium.

Both beyblades were spinning at top speed, and the sheer force of the launch had thrown both Jack, and Ace off balance. It looked like Ace was wanting a quick finish, as soaring phoenix lunged at cyclone riptide. The new running core in soaring phoenix gave it extra attack power as it smashed into Jack's bey. But cyclone riptide was actually pushing soaring phoenix back! Then Ace realised it - Riptide was no longer a defence type beyblade, the new found spikes on the attack ring must have given it a supreme attack power! Jack realised this soon after Ace and began to formulate a plan.
"GO! ATTACK!!" he yelled.
Jack's beyblade started to move around the stadium in a zig-zag pattern, gaining speed on each circle of the stadium. Eventually, it became a blur, and started to create a cyclone.
"Meet my new SPECIAL MOVE: Aqua Cyclone!" he yelled.
Ace wasn't just going to sit back and relax either. He had been planning ever since he realised the change in type. Then, he realised, instead of attacking the beyblade, why not embrace its power? When the cyclone hit Soaring Phoenix, it stood ground, not trying to retreat.
Then, when it was in the centre, Ace yelled, "GO NOW SOARING PHOENIX! Twin Wing Flames Reverse Wind Flash!"
Too late, Jack realised what had happened. JAce had used the opposite spin direction of his bey, to make the cyclone under his control, and he had then used the fire element to stop the water from depleting his bey's spin.
"Hey Ace, remember the first time we fought?"asked Jack.
"I don't think I can ever forget that!" he replied.
"I'm not gonna let it end like that again."Jack said.
"Oh don't you worry, I won't let you draw, 'cause I'm in it to win it!"Ace said, with a witty smile on his face. "GO SOARING PHOENIX!"
Again, that bright light started to appear, and when it vanished, both beys were spinning on either side of the stadium, but soaring phoenix had changed! The blue and red colour had changed to an orange and black colour. Also, the spikes on the edges of the beyblade had turned into little gears, with a total of 18 surrounding the beyblade.
"Stop this match right now, because I have an announcement to make!" Max shouted. "A tournament will be taking place in 5 days called the edge. You three will take part in it, and I want one of you to be the winner." He looked at Ace and Jack and said, "Both of you need to improve your control over your new, evolved beys. Which is why I need you guys to practice like crazy. And Ryu, you are going to be trained by me personally. Exactly 4 days from now, you guys will fight me,which will be your test to see your improvement. Until then, goodbye."
"Well then Ace, we'll settle this in the tournament. I've gotta go and find a place to eat..."

Jack and Ace walked through the streets of the city. After looking at their faces, one would have thought they were going to the army to die in battle! Both of them had been planning from last night on a way to defeat Max. They had racked their brains... but to no avail could they find a way to beat the legendary Draciel's steel defense. Some time later, they reached the riverside, only to find Max sitting on a bench, watching Ryu practice with her beyblade.Â
"Alright then... since everybody is here, I will announce the order. Match 1 will be Me vs Ace. Match 2 will be Jack vs Me. And then I'll battle Ryu. Understood?" asked Max... "Alright then..."
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!"Â
"GO NINJA PHOENIX!" yelled Ace.
Ace's new beyblade, Ninja Pheonix MS, had been mastered now, as it moved around the stadium at a much increased pace... It headed straight towards Draciel, going for a quick KO. Although the attack contained a lot of power, Draciel did not even budge! However, Ninja Pheonix did not  stop, although it was taking heavy recoil, it kept attacking Draciel, following it as soon as it tried to escape the attack.
"That's no way to win Ace, Draciel's steel defence can take these hits easily, it won't be knocked down." Max said, in his cool, calm and soothing voice.
"Yeah, but it can be worn down!" yelled Ace.Â
Then, Max realised what was happening; Ninja Pheonix wasn't really attacking - it couldn't beat Draciel, it wasn't even an attack type any more. The bey was actually stealing Draciel's spin. Max had to think of something and quick! He could see that Draciel was starting to wobble.
"Looks like it's time to pull out my trump card... Draciel! AQUA SHIELD!" yelled Max.
A giant wall of water swept through the stadium. When it cleared, ninja phoenix lay on the floor, and Draciel stood ground.Â
"Good news, you pass. Now, looks like you're up Jack!" Max said, in his once again cheerful voice.
Jack took out his launcher and inserted the winder. He then attached Cyclone Riptide. Max followed, but with Draciel. Both bladers raised their beys, and put them above the stadium.
"3... 2...1... LET IT RIP!" they yelled.
This time, Draciel circled Cyclone Riptide. But Jack wasn't going to stand around, waiting for a chance, he didn't play that way. Cyclone Riptide, had received two new things from its mastery, and Jack was going to show one.
"NOW! ATTACK!" he yelled.
Jack's bey started to barrage attack , and Draciel wasn't taking the hits very well. But Max wasn't one to give up so easily either.Â
"EVADE DRACIEL! EVADE!" he yelled.
Jack was getting tired from the barrage attack and Max was continuously dodging, which made him even more tired. Max decided that it was time to end this quickly and went in for a swift victory. But Jack had been saving some energy for a final attack, and now was the perfect time to use it.
"NOW! Final strike!" Jack yelled.Â
Both Draciel and Cyclone Riptide clashed against each other. Max watched as both beys landed safely back in their hands at the same time - the match was a draw.
"Well, Jack, that was more of a lucky strike, but I'll give you a merit." said Max. "Well then, looks like it’s just you and me now Ryu.â€
“3…2…1… LET IT RIP!â€Â
Ryu didn’t have an evolved bey, but she was here to prove that she was just as strong as the others. Ice Drago jumped from the side - obviously a new tactic.Â
“Go! Ice Drago!†she yelled.
“Wow, she’s really trained hard! Ice Drago’s moving twice as quick, and I think she still has a few tricks up her sleeve,†Ace murmured.
Then, Ryu’s bey turned upside down, and Jack realised what was going to happen… Ice Drago started spinning at an increased pace, and the fire around it started to take shape… Then, fire slice tornado was unleashed. The impact had literally pinned Draciel on to the bottom. Things got even worse as Ice Drago’s tornado was able to grab Draciel; Ryu smacked Max’s bey out of the dish. But Max wouldn’t go down without a fight.
“Alright Draciel, let’s do this… AQUA SHIELD!†Max said.

After five days of intense, continuous and rigorous training, the tournament was about to begin! Jack, Ryu, and Ace had all undergone extremely hard battles with one another. Grate, Dan, and Max had also done their own training, but in different ways. Grate had practiced his right and left spin abilities to the peak of perfection, he had also made a ‘little’ modification. Dan had been practicing something as well. He’d gained total control over his bey, which would probably make him a dangerous asset.
Everyone was getting ready for the tournament, with the opening ceremonies starting later that day! So far, there were 12 different bladers, who would be revealed at the opening ceremonies. It was going to be an exciting event,that was for sure.
As Jack, Ryu, and Ace walked into the stands to watch the ceremonies, they were shocked by how many people were actually watching.
“There's like, what? One hundred people watching!?†Ace asked in excitement.
“More like one thousand!†Beck replied.
“People are still in shock because of… Boris… or there would have been at least double this,†Max stated.
“Still...†Ace said.
“Welcome to ‘The Edge’, the biggest Beyblade tournament this year!†The announcer started. “We don't have as many bladers as we had hoped, but twelve is still quite a good start! First of all, we told you all that the final battle would take place in the Wildergreen Stadium. That has been changed,†there were many sighs of disappointment and boos at this. “Instead, all battles will take place in the Wildergreen Stadium!â€
The crowd roared with applause and cheer.
“That's right! All 11 battles will be fought in this completely WILD and CRAZY stadium,†the announcer said as he swept his arm with grace, showing off the stadium that was rising up from the ground. Every person there ooh-ed and ah-ed at the sight. They had all seen the images of the stadium online, but it was even more spectacular in real life.
“Now, we need to announce who the competitors are! Let's start with Ace Hatawari, a blader who is the current Pao-Lin Village champion. He will finally show his amazing skills at this tournament with his Ninja Phoenix MS!â€
Parts of the crowd suddenly stood up and started roaring with excitement.
“The second blader I'm going to introduce is Josh Slate, a blader with incredible skill and a whole lot of attitude. He will compete with his Rouge MS! Third is Teel Kaire, an unknown blader with unimaginable talents! He will battle with Flare Striker MS! The fourth beyblader I want to introduce is Ryu Kogo, whom we all know to dominate battles with her Ice Drago!â€
The announcer continued listing the names, the bladers standing up and waving once their name was called. When the announcer said the last name, Max, the whole stadium stood up to clap and cheer.
“Looks like somebody’s attracting some attention,†Jack said.
“Oh come on now,†Ryu said.
The announcer finished the ceremony announcing that the tournament would begin the next day at nine o'clock in the morning with Dan battling the boy named Josh. That concluded the opening ceremonies and everyone left to go prepare for the next day.
One day later
“Here we go! Two bladers of amazing skill are ready to battle! Dan Rumaru, owner of the great bird, Eagle, will be battling Josh Slate, the best of the sneaks, with his bey Rouge! Bladers, get ready! Three!†The announcer started.
“Two!†Josh shouted.
“One!†Dan said.
“LET IT RIP!†The crowd roared.
The two bladers launched their beys into the stadium, which began to spin, slowly at first, but with increasing spin.
“Now here is where it gets interesting, folks! The stadium will continue to shrink until the battle is over, or one blade is smacked into one of the many holes in this stadium!†The announcer explained.
Already, the stadium was half as small, and had twice as many holes…
“I don't have time for this,†Dan said as Death Eagle used a small ditch to fling itself at Rouge MS. Death Eagle hit Rouge, resulting in an extremely quick smash into another ditch.
“I haven’t lost yet…†Josh yelled. “GO! ROUGE CUT!†Josh yelled.
Rouge MS started to increase in speed, and then started to fling the dirt around. Eventually, the ditch became deeper, and Rouge went underground. It then popped up a few seconds later, underneath Death Eagle MS! Both beys were on their final spins, and both bladers knew that it was time to call their final move.
“I’m done with you Josh…†murmured Dan, “Death Wing Slash!â€
Dan’s bey slashed at Rouge MS and pushed it into a rock. After consistent hammering and weathering against the rock, Rouge MS broke… The match ended there and then.
“What an extremely quick battle!†The announcer exclaimed happily. “That’s the end of our first match, so let’s move onto lunch!â€
“Finally! Something interesting to do!†yelled Jack.

The announcer finished the ceremony announcing that the tournament would begin the next day at nine o'clock in the morning with Dan battling the boy named Josh. That concluded the opening ceremonies and everyone left to go prepare for the next day.
One day later
“Here we go! Two bladers of amazing skill are ready to battle! Dan Rumaru, owner of the great bird, Eagle, will be battling Josh Slate, the best of the sneaks, with his bey Rouge! Bladers, get ready! Three!†The announcer started.
“Two!†Josh shouted.
“One!†Dan said.
“LET IT RIP!†The crowd roared.
The two bladers launched their beys into the stadium, which began to spin, slowly at first, but with increasing spin.
“Now here is where it gets interesting, folks! The stadium will continue to shrink until the battle is over, or one blade is smacked into one of the many holes in this stadium!†The announcer explained.
Already, the stadium was half as small, and had twice as many holes…
“I don't have time for this,†Dan said as Death Eagle used a small ditch to fling itself at Rouge MS. Death Eagle hit Rouge, resulting in an extremely quick smash into another ditch.
“I haven’t lost yet…†Josh yelled. “GO! ROUGE CUT!†Josh yelled.
Rouge MS started to increase in speed, and then started to fling the dirt around. Eventually, the ditch became deeper, and Rouge went underground. It then popped up a few seconds later, underneath Death Eagle MS! Both beys were on their final spins, and both bladers knew that it was time to call their final move.
“I’m done with you Josh…†murmured Dan, “Death Wing Slash!â€
Dan’s bey slashed at Rouge MS and pushed it into a rock. After consistent hammering and weathering against the rock, Rouge MS broke… The match ended there and then.
“What an extremely quick battle!†The announcer exclaimed happily. “That’s the end of our first match, so let’s move onto lunch!â€
“Finally! Something interesting to do!†yelled Jack.

“Two!†Carl shouted as he attached Bireby onto the launcher in right-spin mode.
“One!†Ace exclaimed., whilst inserting his G-winder.
“Go shoot!â€
Max watched Bireby and Ninja Phoenix land on the same side, as the holes in stadium formed on the other end.
“Go, Ninja Phoenix!†Ace yelled as his bey furiously attacked Bireby.
Bireby was pushed to the other side of the stadium, closing the gap between it, and the holes. Then Ninja Phoenix went through the centre of the stadium and attacked Bireby again, pushing it to the edge. Teel’s bey leaned as it started to wobble. Teel had only a few ways to end this match and picked his best chance of survival.
“Great Slash! Attack, and quickly!†Teel shouted.
Bireby began to increase its speed, and went after Ace’s bey, pushing it back farther and farther as the stadium became smaller and smaller until it was on it's edge. Ace went back to attack, but Bireby had moved. The stadium was starting to shrink again as Bireby caught up to Ninja Phoenix. The two beys clashed and bounced back.
The stadium was now shrinking faster than in any of the other battles as the beys raced around trying to hit the other.
“Time to strike Phoenix! Spin strike!†Ace yelled as Phoenix smashed into Bireby.
The stadium was so small now, and because of the mechanics, the smallest of attacks would have sent a blade into a hole. Both bladers tried to control their beys and keep them from hitting each other into a hole.
“They're going to tie!†Ryu shouted.
“Move down, Bireby!†Teel yelled as his bey fought to get to the centre of the stadium, now the only safe place.
“Well then… if there’s no space on the left… and no space on the right… the only place you can go is… the sky!†Ace shouted.
Ninja Pheonix spun right onto Bireby until the spin became too fast for Teel to handle, who lost it's grip on the stadium floor and smacked into a hole. Bireby stopped spinning, resulting in a win for Ace.
“Darn it!†Teel shouted.

Jack attacked Frank’s bey with Cyclone Riptide and the two battled fiercely until Jon won in an attack battle.
“That battle was very short, but still full of excitement!†The announcer shouted. “Next will be a battle between F. Draco and Grate Thompson! Three!â€
“Two!†Grate yelled as he smiled.
“Wait!†Draco shouted with worry, though everyone thought he said “One!â€.
“LET IT RIP!†The crowd exclaimed.
Grate’s bey, Gatling Rake, was the only one that landed in the stadium. Draco hadn't even had his launcher out because he was so nervous!
“And it seems that Draco missed the stadium,†the announcer said. “This means that Grate will move on to the next round!â€
“And now it is time for Ryu Kogo to battle the one and only Calce Treak! Three!†The announcer started.
“Two!â€
“One!â€
“Go shoot!â€
Ryu won with a hole-in-one in the first thirty seconds. The crowd cheered.
“Though it wasn't as quick as Jack's battle and not as incredibly amazing as Ace's, Beck has won with a quick and impressive battle!†The announcer said. “Now, let’s move onto our star battle. It is the hometown champion – Brian vs the MAX OF THE BLADEBREAKERS!â€

Max walked up to the beystadium, and took out his Draciel. Brian followed, but with his Oregon. Both bladders locked each other into a stare down, as they took out their launchers.
“3…†The announcer said.
“2!†yelled Max.

“LET IT RI- “ the crowd said, rudely interrupted by a deep, and slightly threatening voice.
“Stop right there… we all know the winner, so don’t waste time! Let’s get down to it – give us the trophy and we don’t hurt anyone, don’t give us the trophy, well then, we all know what that means…†said the mysterious man.
When Max looked carefully at him, he saw that the man was wearing a mask, from his neck up to his nose. He was also wearing a hood, which fitted well with his dark cloak. He had two swords behind him, which was slightly appalling to see. When he looked closely, he guessed one was a katana, and the other the carp sword, also known as the hand and a half sword. A stranger looking man was behind him, and he looked much like Ace, with the familiar green and grey cloak. Both Max and Ace found this strange, and their surprise was only growing. Then, the man dressed like Ace took of his hood, which made Ace’s face white with surprise.
“Long time no see… brother.†He whispered.
“No way! You… you’re alive?†Ace asked, shocked by the comment.
“Yes… I was dying, when YOU left me there, but then that’s when the good man came…†he said.
Suddenly, Ace zoned out…

“1,†said Ace, whilst pushing in his winder.

Lightning Phoenix was in the stadium. So was Fata Phoenix. Fata was the word describing fates. Both beys clashed against each other. The hits dealt equal damage, and the match was going to end soon. Ace pulled out his trump card.
“Vacuum cut!†he yelled.
But his brother, Akahito, wasn’t one to back down.
“When the fates are with me, I can’t lose! Phoenix Fates!†he yelled.
A giant ring surrounded Lightning Phoenix. 4 symbols covered the ring, symmetrically. Every 2 seconds, a different symbol glowed. Then, it stopped on the one that resembled ice.
“Huh… what’s this?†asked Ace.
“Haha, it’s my new move brother. You see, in phoenix fates, there are four elements – fire, ice, sky, and earth. And since it’s landed on ice, that is the element which will be used. Your fate has been decided now; there is nothing you can do… Special move: The Fates: Ice Shard!†Akahito replied.
Soaring Phoenix attacked, but Fata Phoenix was covered in ice spikes. It wasn’t able to deal any damage. Then, Fata Phoenix started to increase in spin, and then hit Soaring Phoenix. Ace watched, his mouth in a perfect O, as Lightning Phoenix flew into the air.
“NO! I WON’T LOSE! RAAAAAHHHHH!!†he yelled.
Akahito felt a strange sensation. He saw Ace was being surrounded by fire. He reached out his hand, but Akahito was unsure what that meant. Suddenly, from the sky, his bey came crashing down, and broke apart Fata Phoenix. The impact was so hard, that the stadium, along with the surrounding structure broke apart. Akahito screamed as the structure fell off the support and onto him. He smiled as he saw Ace walk up to him, who was still covered in that fire. Ace looked at him, his fiery eyes gouging into him, as he bent down. His brother reached out his hand, but Ace smacked it away. Then, he made one, single punch, straight into Akahito’s stomach, took his new bey, Soaring Phoenix, and walked away.

The announcer looked behind, and glanced at the committee members behind. Meanwhile, the strange man with the two swords, walked to the centre of the podium, and tapped on the microphone. He yelled to check if it works; once again, the crowd heard the deep, and threatening voice.
“PEOPLE! My name is Yumaro Askozia. I, along with my friend Akahito Hatawari, propose that from the second round, this tournament be declared as a two man battle, or in other words, a tag tournament. The committee is best advised that they agree, or else…†he said.
The announcer now walked up to the committee members, which were perched behind a glass dome. When they were all together, they conversed about the happening. After around ten minutes, they had come up with a decision. Max noticed the announcer nod as he walked back.
He said, “The committee has decided that instead of a tag battle, the matches will be a one on one. You will have an A and a B. Then, both Bs will fight each other, followed by the As.â€
“We are satisfied with this decision. Thank you for your co-operation. Also, please get on with the current match so we can get on with our tournament.†Replied Yumaro.
“What bey do ya think he has Ryu?†asked Jack.
“I don’t know. But judging from the way he acts, he could be really strong.†She stated.
“Well then folks, let’s continue onto our current match, Brian vs the steel wall… MAX!†the announcer stated. “Another point to bring up, the committee has decided, that instead of the wildergreen stadium, bladders will battle it out in the city stadium. In this, the blades will be launched into a city, or a village. Each time the city or village changes, and I just can’t wait for something new. So let’s do this! 3!â€
“2!†Max stated.
“1!†yelled Brian.
“LET IT RIP!†the crowd shouted.
Draciel landed on the top of a tower, obviously part of a cathedral. Brian’s bey, Oregon, landed the other tower on that cathedral. Draciel maintained balance, whilst Oregon fell off the top and onto the roof.
“Oh… this is very exciting folks. It looks like the bladders are in Munich, on the infamous Frauenkirche! This is truly an amazing sight. On the top of the tower is Draciel, Max’s bey, standing its ground. It looks like Max is very confident in his defence, as Draciel is leaving itself open to any attack. Oh... and what’s this? Brian has decided to go on the offensive…†said the announcer.
Oregon jumped from the roof and launched itself at Draciel. It struck home, however, the impact made no difference. Draciel continued to stand on the tower. By now, Brian had lost his temper. His bey furiously rampaged the city, destroying everything that came in its path.
“Oh no! I have to do something quick, or Oregon is gonna break. Draciel Aqua Shield!†Max shouted.
Draciel launched a wave onto Oregon, which kept it from its rampage. Then, Max attacked. Draciel launched of the tower and struck Brian’s bey. Not only that, it used the ruins, to bounce off and attack again, without wasting time. After countless successive hits, Brians stamina type beyblade wore out and stopped. Draciel jumped back into Max’s hand.
“Alright, great work Draciel. Let’s do better next time!†he said. “Great battle Brian, let’s do it again someday, that was so cool!â€
The grin slowly spread against Brian’s face as he shook hands.
“Yeah… let’s blade again sometime. It’ll be fun!†he replied.
“This was just awesome folks. And this final battle ends the day. Let’s meet again tomorrow, and competitors, remember to have your partners.†The announcer said.

Jack, Ace and Ryu walked to their houses. On the way, Ace found a beypark, where they then decided to go. They walked up to the stadium, and played the first match. It was Ryu vs Ace –
“3… 2… 1… LET IT RIP!†yelled Ryu.
“Wha… oh yeah… let it rip,†Ace murmured.
Ninja Phoenix stood in the centre of the stadium. Ace continued to look down, ignoring the beybattle. Ice Drago circled the stadium as it switched to its ice tip, doubling its speed instantly. But Ace continued to stare down, as Ninja Phoenix was hit. Ice Drago kept its constant attack, dealing more damage than normal. Ryu had perfected her tip change to suc a peak, that the ice tip would turn to fire on the moment of impact, and then back to ice, right after it! Already, after only 20 seconds, Ninja Phoenix was wobbling.
“What the hell are you doing Ace? Get on with it, or you’re gonna lose!†yelled Jack.
“I… I… I don’t know…†Ace said at the final moment, as Ninja Phoenix was smashed straight out of the dish.
“Alright, let’s try this again, I wanna practice my insta – switch against both of you.†Ryu exclaimed.
“Alright, let’s do an all vs all battle.†Jack replied.
Ace walked away, and picked up his beyblade. Then he came trudging back, still staring at the ground. Jack walked up to the small dish and readied his launcher.
“3!†Ryu stated.
“2…†Ace murmured.
“1!†shouted Jack.
“LET IT RIP!â€
Once again, Ice Drago started circling the stadium. Only this time, it kept its normal grip flat core RC. Ninja Phoenix swooped into the centre whilst Jack’s bey followed Ryu’s. Both beys fought each other hard, using one trick after the other. But Jack was still to learn all of his bey’s power, as it flung itself at the edge of the stadium.
Ryu seized the chance quickly, as she said, “NOW! SPECIAL MOVE: Heaven’s Dragon!â€
Ice Drago swooped around Cyclone Riptide, and smacked it hard, onto the other side of the stadium in fact. But Ryu’s special move hadn't finished yet, it started giving out an array of barrage attacks. It was only the spikes on Cyclone Riptide, which were keeping Ryu from doing a full scale attack… For if she did that, then the spikes would also deal just as much damage as they took.
“You better give up now Jack, unless you want Cyclone Riptide to be crushed.†Ryu stated.
“NO! Me and Riptide will never give up… NEVER!†Jack exclaimed back.
Suddenly, Ace woke up. Wide – eyed, he shook his head and swayed his hand; immediately, Ninja Phoenix responded. It ran opposite Ryu, and smacked Ice Drago back from where it came!
“He’s right, we’ll never give up… And you know that just as well as I do Ryu!†Ace exclaimed.
“Now let’s get this party started. SPECIAL MOVE: Amaterasu’s wrath.â€
Ninja Phoenix launched itself into the sky, towards the sun, and turned itself to face Cyclone Riptide. By the time Jack and Ryu looked up, Ninja Phoenix had formed a perfect silhouette; at this point, Jack knew something was gonna happen. And less than a second later, a giant beam of fire was shot down at Jack’s bey. It hit hone, and had so much power, that Cyclone Riptide was wedged into a hole in the ground!
“Thanks Jack,†Ace said, in his kind voice, “what you said today, is what made me realise, that just because I accidently did something to my brother a year ago, doesn't mean I should give up on beyblading. It doesn't mean I should give up my passion, or on myself in fact.â€
“Aw… Well… I’m glad you've regained your blader’s spirit, because we are going to be training all day and night.†Jack said.
“Uh Uh Uh, I’m going to have to take those beys and repair them, we can’t have ourselves at a disadvantage can we?†Ryu said.
They walked together in silence, until they reached Jack’s home. He went in after saying goodbye… to Cyclone Riptide. Ace and Ryu continued walking until Ryu reached her house.
Then Ace asked, “Um… Ryu?â€
She looked back, “Mmmmhmmm?â€
“Well… uh… I was wondering… if… you’d like to be my partner for the tag team tournament?†he replied.
“Oh… well… I don’t mind. Let’s team up and win together!†she said, with her graceful smile.
“Okay then, I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye!†Ace replied, as he walked down the street to his make shift camp.
If anyone had looked carefully that day, they would have noticed a big, beaming smile on his face.

The next day, Ace and Ryu met at the BBA headquarters, to post their pair. They were both wondering where Jack was. He came in ten minutes later, along with Max; and they were both out of breath. Max stood by the side, whilst Jack walked up to Ace.
“So… Ace… and Ryu. I can’t go with either of you, because I’m going with Max. I’m sorry.†Jack said.
“Oh… well… we were just gonna tell you that we went together.†Ryu replied, “So I’m glad that’s cleared up.â€
Jack walked up to the tag team sheet. He noticed the writing at the top, with the ridiculous bubble writing, and the e spelt backwards – ‘Tag Team Tournament’.
“Who do they think we are? Kids!?†He said in shock.
He wrote his name along with Max’s. About an hour later, they were taken to the stadium via city beybus. Jack noticed Ace and Ryu sat together, at the back. Ryu’s head rested on Ace’s shoulder quietly, as they both slept. Suddenly, Jack was yawning too. A little sleep won’t do him any harm now, would it?
Finally, they reached the stadium. It was bigger and grander than ever before! Rather than the solid tall building, it was a dome shaped building, with an open ceiling. This meant the blader would have to battle at his best, taking into account everything – including wind, rain, and even the stadium itself. It was going to be a tough match for sure!
At the centre, the announcer stood. All the bladders were sent into the basement, to take their positions for the entrance. The first match had been decided, Grate and Dan vs Max and Jack. It was going to be a very tough match.
“And now for the competitors,†the announcer said, “On the left, we have MAX AND JACK! The fearsome attack – defense combo. And on the right, we have the deadly duo, Dan and Grate.â€
The crowd roared as the machine got to work and lifted the four beybladers into view. They already knew the first line up – Max vs Dan. Both bladders walked into the area. Suddenly, a magnetic field surrounded them; they were locked in battle.
“The committee has decided that the match will be more realistic if the bladers themselves are in the stadium, “stated the announcer.
“3…†said Dan.
“2!†yelled Grate.
“1!†said the announcer.
“LET IT RIP!†roared the crowd.

Jack was busy looking at the gigantic amounts of people that had shown up. In midst this, he saw Ace and Ryu walking out together. He decided to follow them. By now they had walked out of the stadium, and were going down the street. He had to run to catch up; he also noticed they were holding hands. Now he was getting suspicious…

Draciel had so far blocked every attack from Gatling Rake, and had managed to lose only 10% spin. Gatling Rake was much towards the losing side, as it ha lost around 40% spin in the furious attack. Grate realised he needed to calm down. He forced his muscles to relax, and watched as his bey lowly moved to the centre. Now… he ban to formulate a plan. The only way to beat the shield was a constant attack from all sides. Which is what he did.
“Gatling Claw!†he yelled.
Max’s eyes widened in surprise. He’d never seen anyone use that move apart from Ray, and there was no way Grate could do it! He thought of a way to use his new special move…

Jack had been following Ace and Ryu for the past ten minutes, moving from one cover to another, trying to figure out what they were doing. It had become tedious work, jumping here, running there, or laying on your belly for who knows hoe long!
He was beginning to get annoyed, and decided to come out and talk to them. They were his friends, after all. He walked out and ran straight to them.
He called out to them, “Hey guys, its me, Jack!â€
There was a sudden fumble with them as they looked back. Jack was able to see the surprised look on their faces.
“What are you doing here, don’t you wanna watch the match?†he asked.
“Oh, yeah…. We were just taking a stroll , you know… getting some fresh air.†Ace fibbed.
“Okay I’m not dumb. Just tell me the truth.†Jack replied.
“Well… me… and Ace… we sorta like each other.†Ryu said.
“Well duh! We’re best friends!†yelled Jack.
“No… as in we love each other…†said Ryu.
“Ohhhhhh! That’s what you meant.†Jack stated, in his childish voice.
“So… you don’t mind us do you?†Ace asked.
“Whaa? Why would I mind? We’re best friends!†Jack said.
“Yeah, well as your best friend, I order you to get back there. You’ve got a match coming up.†Ryu stated.
Jack sprinted off to the stadium.
“Now… where were we?†Ryu asked sarcastically.

Grate’s bey was keeping up the furious attack, but Max was standing strong. Then, Max saw the pattern. Each time, Gatling Rake followed a pattern. Smash, Barrage, and then smash. This was repeated again and again; however, during the transition phase from barrage to smash, the bey would retreat slightly. That was when the special move could be used.
“Go now Draciel! Great Aqua Shield!†yelled Max.
This time, when Grate’s bey came to attack Draciel, it found a giant wall of water, but not Draciel. The impact was so big, it made the stadium shake. Draciel was left standing, and Gatling Rake lay on the floor, a scratch spreading across the bey.
Jack entered then stadium just in time for his battle. He readied his launcher, and walked up the stairs. In the town centre, Ace and Ryu stood together, watching through the national broadcasting screen.
“3…†yelled the announcer.
“2!â€
“1…â€
“LET IT RIP!â€
“So… Ace… and Ryu. I can’t go with either of you, because I’m going with Max. I’m sorry.†Jack said.

Meanwhile, Dan had other plans. His beyblade, Death Eagle, circled the stadium like a hungry predator, stalking its prey… Then, Dan decided to dive in. The audience watched, on the edge of their seats, as Slash Eagle swooped in to attack.
But the impact made no effect, both beys lost RPM, but Cyclone Riptide seemed to have kept its balance amazingly well. Jack seized the initial moment of surprise and decided to strike now!
“GO! Ride the wave and attack Riptide!†Jack yelled.
Dan watched, in dismay, as Cyclone Riptide launched itself at Slash Eagle to finish it off. Dan’s bey was forced out of the stadium, smashing one or two towers that were behind it on the way.
“WELL FOLKS! It looks like this goes for a win to the ‘Aquamen’!†the announcer cried. “Now let’s get onto the next match up, with Ace and Ryu vs Akahito and Rumaru. Stay seated, because the match will start in 10 minutes!â€

Ace walked up to the stadium and inserted his special launcher – the wind. He had hand-crafted it yesterday, and along with the new winder, which was a string inside the launcher, it gave his bey 2 times the spin. Even the committee had approved of it!
He stared at Yumaro with disgust and shot his brother a look of dismay. Strangely enough, Yumaro took out his two swords, and fitted on into the attack ring of his beyblade. He used the other sword to lock into the katana.
Both bladders readied themselves – Ace raised his launcher, whilst Yumaro raised his swords. It looked like the committee had seen this before as they didn’t object.
“Alright, let’s get started! 3!†yelled the announcer.
“2!â€
“1…â€
“LET IT RIP!†exclaimed the crowd.
When the beys landed, the audience were surprised to find that there were 3 beys that were in the Venice stadium, rather than 2!
“We want to get this over with quickly, so I hope you don’t mind!†said Yumaro.
“Oh no you don’t! Go Ice Drago!†yelled Ryu.
The announcer stood momentarily in shock, but then recovered and said, “Ladies and gentlemen! This looks like our FIRST TAG BATTLE! Things are heating up. What’ll they all do… this is SO interesting!â€
The crowd was now off their seats and cheering different names, shouting their hearts out, and most importantly, staring at the match.
Two blades circled the outside, whilst two stood in the centre. Every once in a while Yumaro and his partner would attack from the centre, and Ace and Ryu would take lots of damage.
“Ryu! These guys are stronger than us. We have to work together!†yelled Ace.
Ryu nodded. Suddenly, Ninja Phoenix started circling around Ice Drago as it headed to attack. Occasionally, Akahito made the mistake of coming near, and Ace was able to steal some spin. When all four beys were in the center of the stadium, it became a standoff. All four bladers called their special moves at the same time.
“Ring of Fates!†yelled Akahito.
“Meteor Bomb!†shouted Ryu.
“Amaterasu’s wrath!†yelled Ace.
“Mass destruction… finish them Doom Serpent.†murmured Yumaro.
There was a massive explosion, destroying half the stadium. Ace and Ryu were flung backwards and hit a wall, knocking them out. The match ended with Doom Serpent spinning, and Ace and Ryu’s beys broken.
They were both taken in an ambulance to the nearest hospital. When Jack finally arrived, the doctor told him that Ryu would take time to recover, but Ace was already healed; He was just resting. Jack decided not to bother him, and went back to the BBA stadium.
He decided to get ready for his match, which was in 5 minutes…

“We are back and ready to blade! So let’s get on with our finals! Max and Jack vs Yumaro and Akahito!†shouted the announcer, his voice full of announcement.
“Max… I’ll fight these guys myself. Bring it! Both of you!†Jack yelled.
Max nodded, “They’re all yours.â€
Yumaro and Akahito walked up to the stadium, and Jack followed.
“3!â€

“LET IT RIP!†yelled the crowd.
Cyclone Riptide spun around the stadium at an incredible speed. Jack remembered what he said to Ace in the hospital, even when he was asleep.
“I will beat them Ace. I’ll beat them for you and Ryu. I promise!†he’d said to him.
Cyclone Riptide came in to attack, and struck both blades at almost the same time. They both retreated, only to find Jack had made his bey swoop around again, and attack. They were being hammered by Jack’s continuous attacks.
“We have to use it now Akahito, or he’ll beat us.†Yumaro stated.
“Okay… Let’s do this!†he shouted.
Both of their beyblades started glowing, and spinning around each other. Suddenly, the announcer realised what was happening.
“Oh my folks! This looks like a unison attack, something that is said to be unachieved in the past century!†he exclaimed.
Max looked up, and thought to himself, “There aren’t many things with power that can break through some walls…â€
“HOLY SHADOW TWIN TORNADO STRIKE!†exclaimed Yumaro and Akahito.
“This is the power of twin attack, the strongest power. And I will use it to beat you!†exclaimed Yumaro.
The beys started to turn into one bey, and the speed of it was making a tornado out of just the light and darkness! It was heading straight for Cyclone Riptide, destroying any part of the stadium in its way!
“Well then, I’ll use my power… to FIGHT for my friends… who were laughed at and hurt!†Jack shouted.
“But if there is a power that can break through those walls,†continued Max… “Then it’s the power of feelings!â€
Jack intended to take the attack, and yelled, “NOW! Beyblade Water Art: Poseidon’s Trident!â€
His bey turned into a gigantic trident, that slashed through the attack and hit Doom Serpent and Fata Phoenix 2. There was a massive explosion, out of which, Doom Serpent and Fata Phoenix 2 were flung out!
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE WINNER OF THE BBA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP IS… JACK MATSUGANE!!†yelled the announcer, at the top of his voice.
Jack walked to the other side of the stadium and stretched out his hand. Then, he said, “Let’s blade again sometime, that was fun!â€

The Four Pillars
Chapter one: An unexpected beymatch

It was a wonderful day, the sun was shining, the wind was blowing, and it was a perfect 20 degrees Celsius. Ace’s hair whooshed across, as he leaned on the hospital balcony.
It had been 2 weeks since the incident, and most of the bruises had rapidly healed. Only a cut remained on his head, and his left hand was slightly scarred.
Ryu was still lying on the hospital bed, but even she had recovered. Her thigh bone, which had been fractured, was recovering, and the bruises on her upper body were healing. She was in a coma, but was expected to recover in a week.
Jack had visited the hospital, and had noticed Ace sitting by Ryu several times in a day, waiting for her to say something. Occasionally, he thought he’d heard the word sis, but had quickly dismissed the thought.
Currently, Jack was lying in bed, at his house. It was 8:00 am, and his alarm clock had just gone off. He stared at the ceiling, but then suddenly remembered something. At an amazing speed, he dashed out of bed and dived into the shower. About 10 minutes later, he was sitting downstairs, quickly munching his breakfast.
His mother looked at him and thought, “Hah…. Blue and red shirt, with the special carry case, blue jeans, white and green shoes, and eating his breakfast… Yep, it’s a beybattle.â€
Jack ran through the dark brown door, obviously newly painted, and whispered to himself in a voice full of panic. Some time later, he reached the park; two boys were waiting for him, and they looked annoyed.
Jack quickly walked to the beystadium and readied his bey. He looked at one of the boys, and nodded to him. The boy walked up and launched his beyblade. Jack followed.
But before there could be any contact, both beys were knocked out, and a new bey stood in there place. A strange looking boy in green and grey clothes walked up the park. He stretched out his hand as his bey flew towards it.
His face was clearly visible, and you could see the dark eyes, and the crooked smile. He walked up to Jack and said, “Let’s blade.â€
They fixed a stare at each other, and then looked away.
“3… 2… 1… LET IT RIP!†they both yelled.
Jack decided to finish off this guy quickly, he didn’t like him, from the way he looked, and from his attitude. Cyclone Riptide launched itself at its opponent and knocked it onto the edge.
When Jack looked closely, he noticed the attack ring was unusually thick, very thick in fact, and the bit chip was a hexagonal shape. He also noticed the bey had a small yellow disk underneath the attack ring, but wasn’t attached to it, like a normal weight disk. The momentary confusion gave his opponent an opportunity. Jack called his special move to defend. The trident smashed into the opponents bey, and created a massive explosion. The thick smoke engulfed the stadium, and it blocked out the result…

It had been 2 weeks since the incident, and most of the bruises had rapidly healed. Only a cut remained on his head, and his left hand was slightly scarred.
Ryu was still lying on the hospital bed, but even she had recovered. Her thigh bone, which had been fractured, was recovering, and the bruises on her upper body were healing. She was in a coma, but was expected to recover in a week.
Jack had visited the hospital, and had noticed Ace sitting by Ryu several times in a day, waiting for her to say something. Occasionally, he thought he’d heard the word sis, but had quickly dismissed the thought.
Currently, Jack was lying in bed, at his house. It was 8:00 am, and his alarm clock had just gone off. He stared at the ceiling, but then suddenly remembered something. At an amazing speed, he dashed out of bed and dived into the shower. About 10 minutes later, he was sitting downstairs, quickly munching his breakfast.
His mother looked at him and thought, “Hah…. Blue and red shirt, with the special carry case, blue jeans, white and green shoes, and eating his breakfast… Yep, it’s a beybattle.â€
Jack ran through the dark brown door, obviously newly painted, and whispered to himself in a voice full of panic. Some time later, he reached the park; two boys were waiting for him, and they looked annoyed.
Jack quickly walked to the beystadium and readied his bey. He looked at one of the boys, and nodded to him. The boy walked up and launched his beyblade. Jack followed.
But before there could be any contact, both beys were knocked out, and a new bey stood in there place. A strange looking boy in green and grey clothes walked up the park. He stretched out his hand as his bey flew towards it.
His face was clearly visible, and you could see the dark eyes, and the crooked smile. He walked up to Jack and said, “Let’s blade.â€
They fixed a stare at each other, and then looked away.
“3… 2… 1… LET IT RIP!†they both yelled.
Jack decided to finish off this guy quickly, he didn’t like him, from the way he looked, and from his attitude. Cyclone Riptide launched itself at its opponent and knocked it onto the edge.
When Jack looked closely, he noticed the attack ring was unusually thick, very thick in fact, and the bit chip was a hexagonal shape. He also noticed the bey had a small yellow disk underneath the attack ring, but wasn’t attached to it, like a normal weight disk. The momentary confusion gave his opponent an opportunity. Jack called his special move to defend. The trident smashed into the opponents bey, and created a massive explosion. The thick smoke engulfed the stadium, and it blocked out the result…

Jack plowed through the thick smoke and peered through. It was still too blurry, but he was sure he could make out the silhouette of a bey spinning.
Eventually, the smoke cleared. Jack dropped to his knees as he saw Riptide’s special move had done no damage, not only that, but it had been hammered into small parts.
“Too easy… Remember this Jack, remember it well…†said the mysterious boy.
Jack looked up.
“There will be the pillars, to rule the last of the doom, But then the pillars shall crumble, and the dark moon shall rise… The pillars were four, are four, but will be… five…†chanted the boy. “You can take your bey… not that it’ll matter, considering how bad it is. No match compared to my Zeus Claw S130RF.â€
“A Zeus Claw whatnow?!†Jack asked in confusion.
“You shall know when the time is right Jack… When the time is right… remember the saying Jack… it’ll help you. You’ve been chosen.†Replied the masked boy, as he walked away down the street.

He ran out of the hospital and towards the grey forest. On the way, he noticed several things out of place. Rather than the usual 5 people on the bench, there were 2. This had never happened before.
There were other strange things as well. The animals in the forest seemed almost restless, and Ace was also beginning to feel danger near him. His acute senses helped him again, as a beyblade landed at his feet.
When he looked at it, he noticed the attack ring was extremely thick, and that the running core had a web-like shield just above it.
In reply, or as an instinct, we will not know, he shot out Ninja Phoenix. Both beys clashed against each other, but the opponent, who was still nowhere to be seen, had his bey at top speed, an refused to lose any. Ace was annoyed by this sudden intrusion, and called out his new special move.
“Go Ninja Phoenix! Wind Striking Blitz!†he yelled.
His beyblade started to charge at the opponent’s recklessly, until the opponent slipped. Then, Ninja Phoenix jumped into the sky, and moved in to attack. The movement was zigzag, and created a lightning symbol, which doubled the attack power.
Ace was surprised that just before the moment of impact, the opponent’s bey had turned sideways, so that the side of the attack ring was facing Ninja Phoenix.
When there was an impact, the web-like shield came into position and blocked the attack, sending Ace’s bey flying.

Ryu jumped up from the hospital bed, startling the doctor and all the nurses around her. Her breathing was in a panic, as she started to hyperventilate. The doctors calmed her down eventually, and started doing some tests to check what was happening.
Ace walked into the room and looked at the situation. He instantly ran to Ryu’s side and held her hand to comfort her. After a while, the doctors walked away, and the nurses soon followed to treat other patients.
Curiously, Ace asked, “Wha - What happened?â€
“I – I – I had a dream…†she replied…
“It started off with me being 7 or 8, I can’t remember, and then this car crashed into our car. I was sitting at the back, with someone who looked a lot like you, I think, and the there was this light. It surrounded you and another boy sitting next to me, who looked much like Akahito.
Then our car crashed… and I was knocked out. The last thing I saw was the two boys being taken out of the car and flown past a forest… I – just don’t know anymore… I – need help Ace! I need help!†she started to say, her voice rising in panic each time.
“It’s okay Ryu… I think it’s time I told you the whole story. The boys in that car… they were me and brother. We had a sister, you, and we were a happy family. The day of the car crash, we were going to watch a hockey tournament. You got knocked out, and you must have lost your memory from there.
Me and Akahito had only just got beyblades. And loved them. On the day of the car crash realised the power of our beys; only one of us realised the bond should grow, whilst the other thought of the bond as a tool. We trained ourselves to survive on our own, which was why we both became so quick and alerted; and we beybladed in memory of you and our parents.
Then one day I found you in a beygarage, working for someone. I left you clues, but you didn’t remember anything. So I decided to keep it a secret; I didn’t want to hurt your feelings in any way. You always took care of us… so I decided to make it my responsibility to take care of you. Forgive me sis…†Ace said.
Ryu watched the tears fall down Ace, whether they were of happiness, or shame, she did not know… nor de she care. She smiled to him and they hugged, happy to finally be united again.
Jack had walked in on time, just to hear the story. His mouth was a perfect ‘O’, as he stared at them wide-eyed. He ran to them and furiously asked questions. In about 10 seconds, Ace shushed him up, with a good old knuckle sandwich in the stomach!
About 3 hours later, Ryu was dismissed from the hospital, after being given thorough check-ups and medication. The three friends walked to the beygarage and then fought for the best chair – the recliner.
Ryu was given the two beyblades and looked at them carefully. She stared at the amount of damage they had taken. When she asked what had happened, Jack replied first.
“Well… I was about to do a match, when this weird guy came up, and challenged me to a beymatch. Then, we fought; he found an opening, and I had to use Poseidon’s Trident. But the attack made no effect. I lost, and then he yelled out a random poem.â€
He recited the poem out loud.
“The same thing happened to me, and it was the same poem. I had no idea what was going on. And there was something weird about the beyblade I fought… It had an extremely thick metal frame, as in it was the thickest thing in the whole bey. Also, I couldn’t see a weight disk. The only thing that resembled it, was three fang-like thingies that was positioned halfway up the RC. Any ideas on what they were?†Ace questioned.
“Well… I have heard that there is a new system of beyblades up north… I’ll see what I can do…†said Ryu.
“Okay, thanks a lot.†replied Jack.
“You’ll have to wait a bit though, because it is going to take some time,†she said.

A boy was walking down the road, when he was suddenly smacked sown by a guy about the age of 15, in blue trousers and a dark green shirt. He wasn't able to see much due to a hood covering the guy's face.
The guy spoke quickly and directly, obviously rushing what he was trying to say. "Sorry!" he yelled, as he waved.
"I wonder who that was..." wondered the boy.
--Meanwhile--
"I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! I'm LAT-OW!" Jack yelled, as he accidentally shoved someone... again. Quickly, he waved back to say he was sorry, then carried on running. After around an hour, he reached a fork in the road, and found Ace and Ryu standing by the tree. He sighed as he walked up to them.
"You're late." said Ace, in his never changing monotonous, commanding voice.
Jack ignored him, and walked briskly to Ryu. He asked, "Well, have you got it?"
Ryu fiddled around in her bag, then took out a blue-black colored bit protector. She then took out something that, to Ace, seemed a very thick metal frame. Lastly, she took out a very small tip and a grey almost-circular part.
"This, what the parts of your bey will look like. This is a slightly different system, and quite new. Now this is how you join them up..." Ryu said.
She walked up to the tree and then showed it to both Ace, and Jack. It took them a while, but they finally understood how the parts worked, and what they were called. Ace's bey was called Duo Arc BD145RF; Ryu's bey was called Phantom Draco 230MB; and Jack's bey was now Flash Thaloc S130R2F.
"Let's test them out!" Jack said.
"Alright..." said Ace.
"N-no-no!" Ryu said, too late.
"3...2...1... LET IT RIP!" they yelled.
Flash Thaloc circled the stadium at an incredible pace. Ace's bey was putting in a lot of speed as well. Duo Arc suddenly went out of control, and shot out towards Jack's beyblade, which easily dodged. Ace's bey was about to shoot itself out of the stadium, but before it could, Jack's bey suddenly propelled itself at Duo, resulting in a stadium out for both beys. Both boys stood there in surprise, there mouths hanging in shock.
"Wh-Whaa?" Jack asked.
"These beys have a different weight, and they are much more efficient. You just aren't able to control them yet." stated Ryu.
"So what do we do?" Ace replied, almost in desperation.
"Battle me." said Max, as he walked towards the bridge.
"Wha-- What!?" Jack asked.
Max stared at him calmly, and replied, "Battle me. It'll be a great way to see if you're fit to control the new beys. When I first got Draciel MS, it took me quite some time to figure it out. You'll have to battle me to prove that your bey can trust you Jack. There's no other way."
"He's right. That's why I'll battle you... Ace!" came a voice.
Ace, Ryu and Jack looked up, to find Ray leaning on the bridge. They stared at him in disbelief, until another unknown voice interrupted their thoughts.
"You three know nothing about this do you? I'll make a deal... You beat me... Ryu... and I let you keep your bey. I'll go easy just to make sure."
The three friends looked back, once again in shock, to find Kai walking towards them.
"AWESOME! I am totally psyched!" yelled Jack.
"Then may the battle begin!" they all yelled.

The bladers briskly walked to the nearest stadiums, and readied their launchers. It took Jack a while to get to grips with the slightly different launcher, but he figured it out. The raised their arms and slotted the beyblades in.
"3... 2... 1... LET IT RIP!" they all yelled.

Flash Thaloc circled the stadium. Jack was putting all of his concentration into controlling Thaloc - he'd realised these weren't the average HMS beys... they'd take a lot more concentration to control. Draciel on the other hand, was spinning freely, and calmly in the centre, reflecting Max's emotions very well.
"You've got to relax yourself Jack. You're not going to be able to think properly, or beat me if you don't relax, " said Max, in his determined, yet soothing voice.
Meanwhile, Ryu was having the same problems. Her bey, Phantom Draco, was struggling from Kai's constant attacks. Suddenly, Kai swiped his hand, and Dranzer responded - it slashed at phantom and smashed out of the stadium.
"I warned you Ryu. You've lost, which means you lose your beyblade as well." Kai said.
"No! I will beat you! I will NOT lose Phantom!" yelled Ryu.

"GO DRIGER!!" yelled Ray, as his bey swiped from side to side.
Ace struggled to dodge the attacks that were dashing in. Every second, driger dashed in from different angles, and Duo Arc was being forced onto the edge of the stadium... Every moment in this battle was giving driger the upper hand. Ace was still trying to become accustomed to the new beyblade, but he knew that even after gaining control, he would be doing worse than Ray.

Draciel slashed at Flash quickly, as it was forced to the edge of the stadium. Jack knew his beyblade was losing spin quickly. The new tip made his bey more powerful, to give smash, but it reduced the stamina. He had to buck up! He knew what to do, and how to do it. But Flash Thaloc just wasn't responding...
"Now Draciel! Full power smash!" yelled Max, shooting his hand straight up, as if to symbolise his victory.
"NO! Flash! Do something! I am not letting you beat me! Cut him! CUT! CUT!" yelled Jack, in fury.
The sudden change of Jack's emotions made Flash Thaloc react violently, as it slashed, or to Jack, cut, from all angles at Draciel. Surprisingly, the cuts began to make a pattern, which then glowed. Jack's bey was now slashing furiously, as it began to turn a bright orange. Draciel was slowing down by masses, but it wasn't enough.
"Ahhh! Do something Flash! Bermuda's wrath! GO!!!" Jack yelled, in surprise.
The glowing cuts then sent out a light towards the sky, and then unleashed a blue force, that changed the movement of air around it. Suddenly, Draciel was covered in a big bubble, unable to move. Then, the water started to seep into Max's beyblade, thus slowing it down. Both Jack's, and Max's beyblades stopped at the same time. Jack fell onto the ground, exhausted.

Natsu smiles at his opponent, ready for combat. His reawakened spirit shines through his body, as he lights his fists. He jumps, as he breathes in the flames of hell itself, his lungs expanding rapidly... His 2 opponents stare in fear of their ferocious enemy and ready themselves...
