Bakugan: Big Time Anime these days!

I find it amusing how they make Yellow so flat at her age... XD

I know..no more inappropriate discussion right?

Anyway, back on topic. I think Bakugan is very popular with a lot of people, but the game is pretty terrible, the rules aren't clear, you never get a decent rule book so really, what's the point if it's got no real set of rules to it?
YOUNGEST PLAYER GOES FIRST
I'm of the opinion the show's pretty ridiculous, too. My old roommate and I tried sitting through a couple episodes once. We couldn't stop laughing at the characters outfits and the dialogue between them and their FREAKIN' MARBLES!!!

At least beyblades never talked back...

they changed the rules of it a while back..... the toys are just a way for them to rip kids off. they really could care less about the game

once a season dragoon would talk to takao and it was always really awkward

Oh damn, that's right! I remember watching those episodes and being like "ugh... do we REALLY need this? Just spin some damn tops against each other!"
I think the figures are actually really neat looking and creative. Some of the acessories are pretty nifty too. I'm just waiting for them to stop being popular so that it becomes affordable to buy some. I have a modest collection of purely ornimental figures on my shelves.

This anime is so terrible. I don't understand why so many awesome series are completly overlooked in countries outside of Japan and instead they insist on rehashing the same old carp year after year.

I'd like to see a new electronic monster battle kids toy. Like the digivices that actually scanned barcodes to obtain monsters. If marketed properly I think kids would go nuts over that. It would need a new twist though, and that is where I am stumpped.
I'm afraid I don't see the appeal of Bakugan. I watched a bunch of episodes, not that I really enjoyed any of them, and the characters didn't seem very deep or likeable, to me. I mean, Beyblade had more likeable characters, no actually, Beyblade still has likeable characters, with Ginga and Madoka and that little Kenta. So, to me, the anime fails from "storyline" point of view. But even more, the game itself doesn't seem very fun to play. In the anime, giant dragons come out of the little spinning balls, but that doesn't happen in real life. Sure, Bit Beasts don't exist in real life either and you can't "mind control" your Beyblade into doing what you want it to do, like in the anime, but it's still pretty fun. I wouldn't like to throw little balls around and all.

Just my opinion, though, I'm sure other people could like the anime/game.
Everyone can like Shun, Dan and also Marucho still.
I play the real life game, and I actually like it. But If you have good cards I realized that you have no chance of losing. Unlike other games, even if your a starter.
The anime's alright, and yes it copied some other animes, like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, and even the Bakugan in their big forms are like Bit Beasts, Tigrerra = Driger, etc. I even saw the excact copy of a Dranzer in one first edition card, but I really have no feelings to bash it.

I guess we just don't have the same tastes, then. Dan seemed like the stereotyped protagonist who likes all his friends always acts happy and all. He didn't seem to have anything new, when we talk about personnalities. Shun also seemed like a copy of Kai. Always silent, always fresh and cool and, of course, the best that the protagonist, Dan, wants to defeat. Of course, he wouldn't be in the opening of the show if he wasn't important, so, of course, he becomes a good friend, like, I don't know, Kai?

I have nothing to say about Marucho, to me, he's only there for comic relief, or something.

It didn't actually copy, either, it just used more cliché stuff like those other anime also used. It isn't the first time that happens.

A character I did like was Masquerade. That whole feeling of mystery around him was very nice, although that big reveal anout who he is was just ridiculous...
Where can I buy Bakugan cards and all the other stuff I want to start playing ??

LAITON they sell them at shops here so they won't be to hard to find, just check Toysrus or Target and BigW etc ...

I know that was just retarded. But the good part of it is that it's surprising and interesting, so people get drawn to liking it more.

A company called Sega/Spin Master is trying their best to make a popular game called Bakugan, let's stop making fun of it because it's just stupid to do such a thing, and if you don't like it I don't care, this is becoming THE MOST STUPIDES THREAD I am starting to see, Bakugan has some good concepts so let's stop bashing it.
People who have posted here with negative comment's about Bakugan, Um let's see...carp OFF AND DON'
T POST HERE THEN!
Everyone who posts agree with me on this, otherwise I'm just dissapointed.
Pokemon TCG, Bakugan, Yu-Gi-Oh and Beyblade are all good things we shall never post negative comments against them.
Thread Finished for Bashing Bakugan.
Oddly enough, Bakugan is the reason I came back to Beyblade. My best friend's little brother, who is 7 if that matters, plays Bakugan. One day I was over at his house listening to him talk about Bakugan and I came out and said, while looking at his brother "You know what, Bakugan is cool and all, but Beyblade was much better." And he completely agreed, so the next time I came over I brought over my plastics that I owned and we started playing. His little brother and his Bakugan buddies forgot about Bakugan for about an hour and were entrenched in us playing Beyblade and wanted to get involved. It was great.

That said, I'm not a fan of the game, but I will sit down and watch the anime.

Who do you think you are, that you can just tell people what they can and can't say?

Most of the "bashing" in this thread stems from legitimate criticism of Bakugan's shallow gameplay.
It's fine to have an opinion, Cobalt Soul, even if we complain about something you like, we're not idiots because of it and we have the...right, I guess, to give our opinion. That thread would be really weird if everyone was just saying "Yeah, that anime is awesome!" and "Yeah, it sure is"

Variety is fun Joyful_3

You are so right. Variety is bad but it can also be good. That is how we become friends! And Freedom of Speech is also important as Brad had referred. Confused
I spent like $25 on these things. There actually pretty fun once you find someone to play with XD

then again I dunno about you.^ that came from a 11 year old kid which is about the right age spinmaster designed the game for
