The reason they are so expensive is because of the price of shipping to places outside of Japan and that adds a lot to the price, in Japan they are all relatively cheap and the prices are a lot like the beys that are sold here in North America and other places that don’t have Takara Tomy beys.

You can try your luck and Bey-hunt in Hong Kong for the same Takara Tomy Beys if you find the prices too expensive in Japan. I know Mack-the-Burst gets his fix there.
