Anonymous- Hackers of PSN.

its sad, ps3 had actually catched up to 360, and within the next year there'd probably be more ps3's sold that 360's. but i doubt thats gonna happen now
I wish they could just give us a date...

When can I expect to be able to download carp from the PSN? Just tell me a clear date and I'll wait...
still have no credit card or any other way of actually using the money in my account, nearly one week after i ordered a new card. thank you sony
Can't you just get cash at the ATM machine? Uncertain

you need a card to withdraw money from atm machines..
I don't really get it, but I guess I'll take your word for it XD

This is sucking big time. Cool updates I was waiting for are just stacking up by now and Sony is bound to be losing money with all of this.

This needs to be dealt with quickly, man...

Not exactly relevant but Sony, or the hackers doesn't have your cards passcode.

Though it doesn't stop them buying things online/setting up direct debits.
Developer PSN is slowly being restored. Some developers have already mentioned that it's up for them.
PS3 firmware 3.61 is now available to download. It is mandatory.

However, PSN service is still offline for the time being, though it'll all slowly return I imagine.

EDIT: Eurogamer is now reporting that PSN should be up within the hour.

Sony have issued the following press release:

Quote:“Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) and Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI, the company) will today begin a phased restoration by region of PlayStation Network and Qriocity services. The phased restoration will be on a country by country basis beginning in the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.

The first phase of restored services for North America and Europe will include:

Sign-in for PlayStation Network and Qriocity services, including the resetting of passwords.
Restoration of online gameplay across PlayStation 3 and PSP.
Playback rental video content, if within rental period, of PlayStation Store Video Store on PS3, PSP and Media Go.
Q Music Unlimited, for current subscribers, on PS3 and PC.
Access to third party services such as VidZone and MUBI.
‘Friends’ category on PS3, including Friends List, Chat Functionality, Trophy Comparison, etc.
PlayStation Home.”
Woot! Gonna download it now. Thanks To!
Just downloaded that patch and forcefully changed my password to something even stupider.

I'm hopefull that I can download carp by tonight, yes?
As I said earlier - the PlayStation Store will be the last thing to go back online. I'd expect it later in the week at the earliest to be honest.

I wouldn't bet on it.
You guys are breaking my heart.

Oh well, at least the patch is downloaded and all, so I just gotta wait a few more days...
That is good for you guys right. At least some of you can play CoD again right. BTW is Kolosos a member of Anonomoyus his answer was sorta vauge. Well anyway at least Sony managed to get it up at all.
I should be back up tomorrow considering that my password change should take up about a day or so. Cant wait for the new map pack, Brink, and infamous2. My summer list =D
My password didn't have to wait! I'm so happy I can log in and ...... do nothing!
Just a Head tip
You would know if your account has got hacked if...
You Can't Sign in, (It will say incorrect Password/Username. They would have changed you Pass/D.O.B and Security Question and answer)
and
You Can't Sign in your Email, (As the details will be changed)
Well I made another account. And things are working fine. I just want my Famas back >=[. It'll take a while.
Just saying. It wasn't anonymous. Anonymous is a leaderless organisation.

Also to the part where you said that they took PSN down until the patch was taken away. Complete bullcrap. Sony noticed unauthorized personnel had gained access to their server and therefore shut it down to prevent them doing any more damage.

I have no idea if someone posted something similar to me as there are 8 whole pages to read through....Yeah.

Also, just in case you think I agree with them. Don't think I condone what anonymous does.
You Europeans are in for some swanky stuff (thankly I'm not a resident of Europe as I own most of the stuff I would want):

Interesting...

I feel sorry for those who already bought these games, though...

So, we can expect the PS Store to be back soon? =D
Yeah, I own 3 of the 5 PS3 games, and 2 of the 4 PSP games (on PSN). I'll grab what I don't have I guess.
