Beywiki Photo thread

I got my Jiraiya MS today (and remembered it is my favourite HMS!), so I decided to see how my new camera (nothing that special) could photograph beyblades, and I was rather pleased with the results. I've got to sort through roughly 135 photos of Jiraiya MS (I took almost every shot imaginable multiple times in a couple of different lightings). I think the outdoor ones are the best so I'll be working with them (need to crop and resize and stuff). They do have rather long shadows but it's evening here so yeah.
Probably the best sticker application I've ever done (though the RC sticker doesn't stay on and is 90 degrees away from correct in some of the shots).

I did forget to photograph the box (and I lost the assembly tool so that's not there in the photograph I took of the parts, which I also only did indoors), but I can do that tomorrow, I'm much more careful when opening boxes while half asleep it turns out.

I'm not that keen on the current photographs for it, to be honest, they're not bad but I think camera technology has come some way (seeing as I am by no means a particularly talented photographer and have by no means a particularly steady hand or anything amounting to "patience".)

Aaaaanyway, here's the shot I think would make a good beybox image:

Okay, done.

The paper I used as backing seems to have had some dust on it, so a couple of pictures have dust on parts where I didn't notice and retake them. It's not too bad though, IMO. Two of the shots are shots taken indoors because I didn't redo those shots outside and I think they're useful.
I'll number each of them so if they're good enough you can tell me what numbers to put up. Should be ordered as they would be if I put them up but feel free to tell me to rearrange them.

And yeah, again, sorry for the longish shadows, I did my best.

Don't know quite where to put the "assembled with stickers" picture in that order but yeah.

Hm...
Those are quite great IMO! Of course there's the shadow, but yeah!
Otherwise, all those pictures are epic! Wow, you actually unscrewed the AR to show the ABS Caul and the Metal Frame?! Are we actually supposed to do that for BeyWiki pics? Chocked_2
Quite scary, if you lose that screws or something, haha!
Pics of Dranzer V
And, any suggestions on how to improve them? Or, are they good enough?

The condition of stickers wasn't good enough for the beywiki.
The last one is too close to the lens IMO. Smile
All others seem to be quite nice!
The only disadvantage is, that Spin Gear of yours is black, and also the Bit Chip sticker is a bit beaten up.
The last one wasn't meant to be included XD
I took that photo when it stopped upright in the stadium..
Pics of Draciel F(Random Booster F Black version coming up soon) along with Sparkling attacker.
Edit- My post was directed at a post that got deleted....
So, even this post should be deleted. Smile
Are you sure it's the random booster F version since there's a recoloured starter version which is black with the green 8 balance?
I checked out the versions from Beywiki... Since only one black colored was listed, I thought this was it. But I think it might be the starter version as you said.. I'll edit the post
I'm not saying it's not I was asking if you were sure. Where did you get it? I can't remember if the Random Booster F one does indeed come with the green weight disk or not(I'm not sure that I trust what was written there)
I got it(and most other pics which I have/may put up here) in a lot on Y!JA. I only know that all are legit and nothing else.
The Dragoon V and Dranzer F ones aren't quite usable ... but the Flame Pegasus ones are OK!
Any thoughts on my jiraiya pics, Kei? Rather new to this, and a new camera, so I'm eager for some feedback. Smile

is there any particular part that need to be reshoot kei?or take new pics for the whole thing?
@think
Your photos are a good first attempt but they're plagued by harsh direct lighting. The shadow each part casts is really distracting. If you retake them you could:
1. Take the photos on a cloudy day.
2. Somewhere with indirect of diffused light.
3. Take the photos in a light box.
The lighting in this picture is actually pretty good and you could easily brighten it up in PS.

This is basically exactly what I was going to say. The pictures are of good quality, but the lighting makes it difficult to see the details on the black parts of Jiraiya MS.

(Sorry I didn't give you feedback on these earlier; I must have missed the post somehow)

Also, Benjohadi, I'll try to take a look at all of your new photos ASAP.
I found the light highlighted the details better. I have copies of almost all of them in the darker light and may try to PS them up but yeah, I found the natural light highlighted things better and just looked better all together, but yeah.

As for cloudy days, it's early autumn here, so it's either rainy and damp outside (where I'd rather not have my camera), or overwhelmingly bright.
Might build a light box eventually.

Once I do crop the darker ones I may need someone else to photoshop them, I'm not great with PS.

To be honest, about the detail, I don't really agree on it being harder to see because of the light. I can clearly make out every detail in those photo's, but nonetheless, it's your wiki, not mine (or, apparently, "ours"), haha. Nice to see you post in the subforum again though.

That said, I still maintain they are infinitely better than the current ones, haha.
Nice pics, roux! I really wanted to post Rapid Eagle pics, as I have one. But well, those are awesome!
But one thing I'd like to point out, and even I am shocked to see it-

Killer Eagle and Rapid Eagle have slightly different stickers?! Chocked_2

The difference is very small, but well a difference is a difference.

The super-small yellow stickers, which are placed along with those long, narrow yellow stickers, are supposed to be Orange, in the Hasbro release. As I suck at taking pics, I won't be able to provide a clear pic, but if required, I'll post one. Smile

yes there must be several differences.

1. orthos / orthros G - words on stickers r different
[Image: beyblade-G-201OrthrosG.JPG]

2. as u said, killer eagle / rapid eagle G
[Image: Rapid_Eagle_(Bey).jpg]

3. Ocean Wrath G, Venus G and Apollon G
the colors r simply different and ugly as for Hasbro ver.
RCs are not the same, but just duplicating Dragoon G, Dranzer G or so
