ahhh thank you Granblue, that makes sense... I didn't even think about it.
Hello again, it’s the new Granddad Beyblader (now 10 days into it) with another weekly purchasing spree of Beyblades. This past week I took the advice of Kai-V & th!nk and focused on what they thought were the best buys on Hasbro Beys @ Wal-Mart, Target & Toys R Us, plus a few I thought looked cool. As always…I would greatly value your opinion as I post the Beys for your review. Thank you ALL in advance.

P.S. I’m so very close to diving into the Takara Tomy market. Soon I will be among the TRUE Beybladers…

So here goes…

Twisted Tempo
Flame Byxis
Hades Kerbecs
Earth Virgo
Thermal Lecerta
Thermal Leone (I’m a Leo…needed to represent…lol)
Evil Befall
Ultimate Metro L-Drago Assault (What are your thoughts on this one?)
Rock Zurafa
Fury Capricorn
Poison Pegasus
Purchased a Pirtaes Orojya 145D from 88powerpig88. Smile

I don't think I'll get into Zero-G as much as some people just yet (hence why I'm buying the lightest Chrome Wheel in the game thus far). Once the price for Phoenic comes down, I'll probably buy it for E230, but aside from that, Zero-G purchases will be sparce.

They are all good except Ultimate Metro L-Drago Assault Ver. 85XF because when it's launched on a angle, it scrapes the stadium floor and then stops spinning

Thank you Bobmcdoogal for your input!! So any Bey with an 85 I should stay away from?
No Bethor! Just the shape of the Meteo metal hangs down so in a BB-10 stadium it just doesn't work. Yet if you were to put that 85 on a Hades metal, that metal actually pops up a little so there is plenty of clearance. It's just a poor design for that specific bey
Oh I see now...thanks Klaus! So, are there any useful parts on the Ultimate Metro L-Drago Assault?
put it on a 105 spin track and it's ok. use the 85 on a different attack bey. 85 and XF are fairly popular just not with me.
just got this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180880697310?s...500wt_1416 for 8.70 GBP/ 13.9809 USD

Why is there more than 5 Days left? The auction hasn't even ended yet..
I was kind of wondering about that...

No! It's actually a great track! The issue is the Tip, because of XF's movement pattern and height, most overhanging wheels will scrape with it, but if you use a tip like WD it's great for stamina.

XF has some uses but for the most part is dated, and the Assault Version of Meteo is too recoil-laden for any real use. But, XF could become useful again in the future, so not too bad.

The rest of your purchases are nice, especially the maximum series beys!
Seriously, those are great purchases, and as th!nk said, the Max. Series is the highlight! Grin
Out of those, only Thermal Lacerta and Fury Capricorne (and even Poison Pegasus, if I am thinking about the correct tips) are not useful. But well, those things certainly look good in a collection, haha!
Unless you already have it, you are missing out on a Gravity Destroyer AD145WD. Otherwise, you have almost all the good parts Hasbro has to offer as of now. Smile
Well, the last of the Max. Series beys(Spiral Capricorne) would be nice too, as MF is quite useful!

oh by the way i recieved the galzzly dude! nice!

As always th!nk…thank you for your insight on Carmelo’s collection. I’ll be stopping by the usual suspect stores as I travel to CO & WY. What treasures will I find this week?

Hello Janstarblast! Thank you for your take on my Grandson’s collection. I know there are tons of better Beys to pick from, but being that Carmelo’s just 6, bright shiny Beys will get him going. It’s my job to help him (with ALL the help from my new Beyblader’s) understand how to build a better Bey. As I’ve stated before, I’m just about to take the plunge into the Takara Tomy Beys, so his collection should improve greatly.
Yep today i got Flame Byxis and Basalt Horogium (hasbro version)today, but i kind of wonder cause there were
more beys.....Spiral Capricorne, Cyclone Herculeo and Ray Gill along with Flame bYxis and Basalt Horogium.

Was my selection(Flame Byxis and Basalt Horogium) worth it or should i bring another one???

Nice purchases!

I like Spiral Capricorn for its MF. MF is a very niche part, and think you should get it. Spiral/Screw is also a good MW for attack, but is outclassed by many of the 4D series beys.

(^ That should be in the "Purchase Consultation" thread), aha. But oh wells.
