When the orange F230 have no Life After Death, and when the brown F230 is better than the orange, I think it mean that it's defective.
My Sonokong Beat Lynx came in the mail! Loving the height change, and especially the design of the bey. No problems, right? Well for some reason my TH170 likes to shudder around during battle and make the top go 'loopy' through the battle- aka less balance due to the tip shaking (This is only at full height).
Besides that, wayyyyyy better than the Hasbro version overall.

Not all are the same. Obviously this Free230 wasn't produced the same as the others, but that doesn't mean it's "defective". It still spins, and functions. Just because it doesn't spin as long as a good brown mold, doesn't mean it's broken.

If it spins without the tip falling off, or without the Blade exploding; it isn't defective.

My F230 finally work perfectly. I switched some parts from the first to the second (both two Takara Tomy orange) and all is ok now. It's not illegal, the design is the same.

I remember reading about someone who swapped F230 parts and had a longer screw for the base. Illegal mod. Make sure you're in the green by checking the two screw lengths.
On another note , I recently bought a Hasbro orange F230 that is almost as good as a Takara! MUAHAHAHAHA!

Don't worry, the pieces are exactly the same, they are only from Takara Tomy's orange F230.
For your Hasbro F230, wait for the usure, mine is totally destroyed.

Just bought the Shogun Steel Blazing Dojo stadium. I saw it buried under the rest of the legends stadiums (last one!
) and thought it would be worth a shot. Definitely better than the bb-10 for group battles (I could never get more than 3 into the stadium before a KO!). So it's really nice to have a stadium to battle 3-5 people with. The design is also amazing.
