So I tried adding a poll to this thread, as you might imagine.

Using IE, I click the add-poll button, then I get to choose whether I want a poll and how many options. But once I've selected the poll and entered the number information... What then? Nothing happens. I can click away from the add-poll popup and it will disappear (and reset) or I can post the thread, and it will post without any poll. If I go to edit the post to add a poll, the add-poll button is not there anymore.

Okay, so then I try again on my phone, using Safari. I edit the post, the add-poll button is there, but again no response to my inputs - same as before on IE.

What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Just noticed an odd white space at the beginning of the post... Could this be space for the poll which never eventuated?
Have logged this issue now, thanks for bringing it up. Seems like the poll menu was just left incomplete before and wouldn't proceed, even if you had selected to complete a poll in the first place.

We do have an update to the theme coming soon (one that's been a long time coming), and it should overhaul a lot of the features on-site, fixing a lot of bugs and restoring the majority of lost functionality since the theme launch last December. Obviously, we'll let everyone know when we have a final timeframe for this but, rest assured, we're absolutely working on an update, haha.
I seems to get 2 notification for same thing. And no, not "Quoted You" one, I'm getting 2 "BeatLynx27 repied in Beyblade Memes Thread" notification.
Had you read the previous notification before making a post in that thread? Beatlynx did indeed make two posts within an hour, with you posting inbetween them. If you hadn't already marked the notification as read, it definitely would've flagged up as a second notification, haha.
I cant change the profile pic, leaving the message "500 internal error" or something like "please choose the correct image file"
Apparently I'm getting a notification of someone quoting me in a post, when the post being quoted was not from me.

heh...Sorry...is it in Bakuten shoot rising thread??? then sorry its me...due to some reason...Whenever I try to post something...Ur post is quoted...I donno how to fix this...I am trying severely...

Sorry...Very sorry for disturbing U...
Don't worry. It was just very odd to me, that's all.
Is a quote from you nested within said quote? That would also trigger it.

No
Odd. I can only assume it’s a server hiccup in that case, but I’ll look into it. @[Eleanor], what made you think it was you? Did you initially quote BeyCrafter before editing it out?
It was Eleanor's two recent post in the Bakuten Shoot Beyblade Rising thread that I got a notif for. None of those two quotes originally quoted me.

Let me tell U...What exactly is happening...Its becomming out of my league....Whenever I try to quote someone...Suddenly BeyCrafter's post pops up and gets posted....then I edit the post again and post it...Thats the reason a notification comes on BeyCrafter's device but opening the notification...It shows nothing...

I am feeling ashamed...Really becoz I am not good with computers and networking...I appologise for causing trouble...I tried to fix this on my own...But no positive results r comming out...
No need to feel ashamed! It seems to be client-side though, so I'd suggest clearing your browser cache as a first step, and making sure you've deselected all quoted posts as well. If that fails, we can look into other solutions.

sure...I will clear my browser cache first...Thank U for helping...
A few days late on the notice, but might as well note; everyone's Credits should now have been restored, and should be visible on your own profile. You still can't see other user's credits, but that's a minor inconvenience anyway, haha.

If you still cannot see a credit value and you think you should, please let me know below! All value should be accurate as of December 2016 (when we last updated any credit values).
An update on this:

So I finally took the plunge and tried to update the OP of Formula Bei after the Photobucket scandal, using a backup of the myBBcode from my hard drive. Predictably, this totally ruined the entire post.

The post itself has almost 20,000 words and gets cut off about 1/3 of the way through. That might seem like a lot of words, but similar forums (dedicated to fan fiction, etc.) can handle much more than that. And physically, 20,000 words is not a huge amount of data for a computer to process.

However, there is also a huge amount of formatting in the post. Lots of spoilers, image tags, text sizes, alignments, bold and italics with links everywhere. With the exception of text sizes, links and alignments, all this formatting is stripped when posting from the backup myBBcode. Some linked formats (like a youtube video) still work. Crazy, right?

Point is, I wonder if the problem is due to the number of spoiler tags in the post. You'll understand I'm basically powerless to test this myself. Is there some way we can check this?

I'd kind of like to see the blog live on, you know, considering its content is one of the more unique entries on the internet. Good luck finding anywhere else to discuss the philosophical similarities between ancient beigoma and autonomous combat weapons! Ha.
I have a rough idea now of what the issue might be, so I'll see if I can organise for a solution to be applied soon to check, but I'm 99% sure that it doesn't have anything to do with the BBCode usage in the first place anyway. I'll look into it just to be sure though.
Hey @[Beylon], looks like we've narrowed down the issue!

The solution I had in mind didn't work and wasn't database related. However, it seems that you've actually been hitting the memory limit in the text editor, which is a technical limitation within the MyBB software. I've been assured there's an update to improve this in development over at MyBB, but I'm not sure when we'll see this happen.

This does mean that your main solution would be to start a new thread and claim the first few posts for yourself to ensure you're giving yourself plenty of room. People could freely post afterwards, but the first five or six would be reserved for you. It also means that, when the MyBB solution is implemented, we can just merge all your posts to clean things up.

If you want to move ahead with this, let me know!
I want to become an organizer and I have taken the quiz already but when I try access the schedule an event sub forum it does not let me in and I have more than 50 posts. Is it an issue or some thing on my side?

Well they’ll tell you when you passed

Cool. Thanks Mana, appreciate the help.

I also have an update though. Your tag didn't display in my notifications and in the past few hours I've been testing this OP issue by modifying the text in the OP myself. It's wednesday. It's my day off. I do what I want! Anyway, as you can see, the OP is working again. Formatting and all.

Here's a running log of what I did, button-for-button, adding and missing nothing:

  • Removed all spoiler tags locally, copied entire OP from local into "edit post" text editor, published updates. This worked, for the first time in almost a year. Did you change something while you were testing this?
  • Went to edit the OP again, but the new OP text failed to load into the editor properly. This is probably the memory issue you mentioned.
  • Copied entire OP from local into "edit post" text editor. Then made some changes to the text in the text editor. Published changes. This did not work, with the same problems as before (formatting gone, most the OP missing).
  • Copied entire OP (with spoiler tags this time) from local into "edit post" text editor, published updates WITHOUT modifying text in "edit post" text editor. Worked as advertised.

So yeah, I figure this confirms the memory in the text editor itself is the issue - rather than the post or the forum more broadly. It is mind-numbingly strange that I can get it to accept and publish text from my local clipboard now though. It hasn't done that since the forum update.

I will seriously consider just starting a new thread though. I appreciate the go-ahead on that. Thanks.

EDIT: yup, I'm adding more stuff now, via the above method, and it's working so far. So long as I don't touch the edit-post text editor at all (don't push any buttons or change any text) it seems to be able to post colossal lumps of text and formatting imported in one go from my local clipboard. This is good! Progresssssss!!!
Update! So after a rather drunken evening, I decided on high to facelift my avatar. No dice. Says url is invalid or that the image is too large, neither of which is true. Man, new year's day, too - I figure someone will get this eventually if I just leave it here. The image I am trying to use is:

while processing event sometimes "duplicate" matches comes (like there were 3 Match 10) and after you enter information in them. they disapear after saving. for example I entered 48 matches and only 43 are showing up
You absolutely should not be touching that stuff yet. It's not finished yet.
