Yeah, the lag is terribad. It's even worse when your opponent isn't lagging, but you are (especially if you're using a slow character), because it's really frustrating and humiliating when people have their way with you and there's nothing you can do about it due to connection issues.
Not going to lie, this game is already starting to get old for me. D:
The Emissary was incredibly frustrating, but it kept me drawn in. But now that I've beaten that and unlocked all of the characters there really isn't much left to do in the game. Sure I could do all of the stupid little side things (100 Man Melee, etc.) but those aren't very fun.
I played a few matches online last night and I swear, if Nintendo doesn't get this lag issue taken care of, this game won't be seeing much of me anymore.
I never have people over to play on the same console either, so yeah... I'm kinda screwed with this game. lol

If you do it on an easier difficulty, I doubt it would take too long.

You can get all the characters through sse. That takes like 6-8 hours to finish. If you haven't got anything to do on the day you get the game, you could do it in one day.

This is exactly what I did.
I had two days off work the day after Brawl came out so I basically did nothing but play the SSE to get all the characters. lol
Characters I don't have:
ROB, Toon Link, Sonic, Wolf, and a few others
Okay so Toon Link is carp awesome. Also, Marth is awesome because he is Marth. Im warming up to Sonic although I dont like quite a few things about him

I beat classic mode easy with Snake in a EBgames (lulz). The grenade attack is the most carp useless move ever, but the CQC grabs and MGS3 camoflage are totally win.
Also, they play the MPO theme calling to the night during the credits when you beat with Snake ajefpowjef-=a90g9wjrg0=.
Wii do want, should have one by mid April.
Being used to Link's moveset is making me awesome with Toon Link. Peach is a dominating alternate. Sonic is no longer an option for me. Marth is on the fence.

Dude, Michael! You are carp good. I was so frustrated that I couldnt beat Game and Watch
Latency has pretty much cleared up, which is good. Zelda (not Sheik), seems to actually show some promise. I still think I'm pretty good with Ike and Wolf. After trying Sonic, I was somewhat disappointed. While he's good for gimmick fights, and can run your opponent ragged, he simply cannot knock anyone back.
Roan, did you add me yet, or do you think you're too cool for school? =P

Played this for a half hour at Gamestop the other day and love it. Since this was my first time ever playing a SSB game, I really didn't have any prior preference for characters, but I fell in love with Pit, Link, and Samus. My least favorite that I played: Probably Luigi. My school's geometry teacher is a game geek and happens to like Luigi, so he's been holding a "grudge" against me since I bad-mouthed him. He challeneged me to a game whenever my friend with a Wii gets into town. I've almost guaranteed my carp kicked in my own mind xD
Beating The Great Maze twice in one day = not fun
Anyways, almost completed ALL of the events on hard now. Only two or three left I think. The one where you have to get in the safety capsule pissed me off for a while, 2 on 1 with 300% damage?! NO.
