This is gonna be the greatest game ever created. its more then just a simple fighting game thats for GOD DAMN sure.
It's sure pushing for that title. I mean, it's got a lot going for it. A game including lots of characters we love from lots of different games, coming together to not only playout an epic storyline, but deliver it with the calibur of multiplayer features we've come to expect from this series, and then some. Its multiplayer will give birth to a new layer of competitive gaming for years to come. Add in its beautiful soundtrack, stunning graphics and detail, incredible features such as the stage builder, sharing stages and such over Wi-Fi as well as both randomized and FC Wi-Fi battles. Success begets success.

I don't really care about voice chat, guys. The only time I've ever used voice chat 4realz was when I was talking to Kei when we was tradin' pogeymanz.
It'll be fun. Like Mario Kart DS online.

i don't use voice chat when i play alone, but when ryan and I play, there's no way in hell we'd have even a fraction the amount of fun.
not having voice chat REALLY hurts this game

Agreed.
Playing against random people without voice chat is fine -- most of the time when I play by myself on Xbox Live I don't use a mic anyway because 99% of the Live population is a bunch of racist, homophobic basement dwellers.
But when I want to play with my friends, voice communication is pretty much a necessity and seeing as how I rarely ever play games online without my friends, I think you can understand why voice is so important to me in online games.
Like it would become any different than XBOX Live. Eventually half the people voicechatting will be obscenity-spewing douchebags who whine when they get KOed and brag unnecessarily when they win.

you don't NEED an optical drive, you can just rent your movies on itunes
