We should at least have the choice of voice chat with those who are on our friends list.

Like I said, I don't mind not being able to talk to people I don't know; I actually prefer not to.

But I DO want to be able to chat with my friends while I play the game. Christ, if the PS2 can support voice chat in-game online, there is NO excuse for Wii games not being able to.

A headset for Wii needs to be introduced, it's obviously possible considering the DS is capable. I agree with Roan/Artie/Brad on this one, voice chat with friends would have made this game so much better than it already will be. Even having voice chat before and after games would be better than having no means of communication at all.

That's true. I didn't even consider that people would be using voice chat while playing with close friends, haha. I kind of just assumed it would go like most Halo games I've played, where it was just random people on the internet. You're right, that feature would be really cool...

you know on xbox live its pretty easy to either take off your mic or mute someone.

in halo if there is an carp all I do is press the back button, find his name, press x and whala, muted. takes me about 2 seconds.

also saying this is halo/xbl exclusive, i've seen more assholes in gears of war than it lol.

I know you can easily mute people, I just prefer not to even turn my mic on when I'm playing alone.

And when I play with a friend (Mostly Artie) we almost always go into private chat anyway.

i know but for people like me i need the mic for tactical usage lol

Some claim it's fake, it looks really good though. Also, same carp FS as Fox and Falco? Lame.

Seems like many of the guys like Ganondorf, Falco, Luigi, Toon Link, etc, are still clones (yeah even their FS are the same, or very similar, in some cases like Ness and Lucas).

Yeah I remembered reading that too. If this is the final roster, pretty disappointing.

Today's update was mostly pointless, though being openly given the decision between Sheik/Zelda as well as either of the Trainer's Pokemon was a nice touch. Some people are pissed that this isn't the case for Zero Suit Samus, apparently.

So! Now that we know the full roster, who's everyone most interested in fighting as? As for me, probably between Lucario, Sonic, and Meta Knight, if I had to pin it to a top three. I'm also gonna try out Pit, Dedede, Ike, and the Pokemon Trainer, though I suppose to complete SSE I'll end up using everybody at some point or another.

I really want to try out Snake and the Pokemon Trainer.

Lucario should be fun too, but I have a good feeling that Toon Link will likely become my secondary character, second only to Sheik. That is, if they didn't totally carp Sheik up. D:

Actually, come to think of it, I'm pretty pumped to try all of the characters out, even the old returning ones from Melee. lol
