Kakori conspiracy 

 

The main members of his party were Chandrashekhar Azad, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. On 9 August 1925, these revolutionaries made a plan to loot the treasury of the British so that with that money, they could buy guns and gunpowder to fight the British. This incident came to be known as Kakori conspiracy.

 

Four of the revolutionaries caught during this Kakori incident were hanged and 16 other revolutionaries were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from four years to 16 years. Enraged by this incident, Bhagat Singh formed a new party, which he named Hindustan Socialist Republican Association from the Hindustan Republican Association.

 

On October 30, 1928, there were terrible protests against the Simon Commission. Lala Lajpat Rai was badly injured in a lathi-charge during a huge demonstration in Lahore. on 17 November 1928 Lala Lajpat Rai died because of the injuries which he had got at Lahore. At that time Lala Lajpat Rai said that:-

The revenge 

 

Bhagat Singh thought of avenging the death of Lala Lajpat Rai and Scott who was the British Superintendent of Police. On 17 December 1928, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Jai Gopal and Chandrashekhar Azad were stationed at Lahore Kotwali at around four-quarter. He thought of dying John Saunders instead of Scott, who was the Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Bombing in the assembly

Their motive was not to kill anyone, rather they had done so only to protest against this bill. That is why they threw the bomb at the place where there was no lethal substance in those bombs.

 

After throwing the bomb, Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt started raising slogans of Inquilab Zindabad and arrested themselves. Because he wanted to bring the atrocities of the British to the world.
