Learning Quran in the virtual era
Quran is the Holy Book of Allah Subhan Wattallah, revealed on the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). The Book itself is acknowledged as a miracle of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Since the early periods of Islam, learning Quran is considered a Nobel deed. Similarly, the Quran tutor or Quran teachers are the most Nobel people. The pedagogical techniques for teaching the Quran are also transforming with time. The Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) has increased the importance of the virtual education system. The 21st century is also labeled as the virtual age, where a pandemic has turned every educational institute into an online teaching academy. The case of online Quran learning is slightly different because the virtualization of Quran teaching started long ago. The advent of computers and the internet started the Nobel deed of online Quran teaching because, in Western countries, mainly European states, it is difficult to find a good Quran teacher. The immigrant and Muslim families do not want their children to miss learning the Quran, as it is the Nobel act. The Quran is a light that guides us in the darkness. For believers, the Quran is the primary source of guidance from which they take directions in every matter of life. Reading and learning the Quran has earthly life benefits, but the reader and learner of the Quran will also get rewarded in life after death. From respecting Parents to not overeating, everything is written in Al-Furqan. “O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin.” (49:12) And “O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid, and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess.” (7:31) The importance of learning the Quran can be observed through the Hadith of our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), “The best among you is the one who online learn Quran and then teaches it to others.”
