s-CRY-ed (Scryed) is a Japanese Manga with a 2001 Anime Adaptation by Sunrise. The series was dubbed into English during 2003 and aired on Cartoon Network's Toonami block. The anime lasted for 26 Episodes.
The story is Set in Lost Ground, a section of Japan that drifted away from the Mainland. The story follows Kazuma, an Alter User. Alter Users are the 1% of residents born on Lost Ground who inherit the ability to restructure and reshape matter into "Alters". Alters are either "Harmonizing", meaning they enhance one's fighting ability; or an assistant to fight for the Alter User. Kazuma uses his Alter to get money (usually by saving someone, or fighting another Alter User); and is usually employed by his friend Kimishima. Kazuma takes care of Kanami, and is very protective and unwilling to admit it. On Lost Ground, there is a large residential district city. Inside the city is HOLY/HOLD, who capture and control "Native Alter Users", those not born in the city and have Alter power. Kazuma fights against HOLY because they labeled him as weak.
