Hey Kei, I didn't mention Kerbeus Heavy Accel in my tournament report since I was under the impression you didn't use it very much. Did you?
I dunno, does Burst really involve that much more luck than any other Beyblade format? Tons of battles in MFB are won based on "luck" due to the bouncy, recoil-heavy nature of that format. I've been watching tons of MFB battle videos recently and it's crazy how many battles are won just through sudden recoil during a tapping match, or both Beyblades flying backwards and one being lucky enough to hit a wall. And don't get me started on Zero-G's insufferable self-KO problem, which is like a horrible reminder of playing in Hasbro stadiums. That isn't to say there's no skill required in these formats; I just think luck is a factor in those just like it is in Burst.
I think the bigger problem is that the win% gulf between any of the top combos isn't overwhelmingly huge. There's no Bey that can beat another with like 90% consistency. I think that's due more to the small selection of parts than the Burst gimmick.
My only complaint about the Burst gimmick is when a Beyblade is completely undone in one hit early on in the match. I feel like the first click should be much harder to get since the Beyblades are likely spinning at much higher speeds at that time.
