Winning Combinations at WBO Organized Play Events

I did once during the regular matches, I take to many risks for the finals really. It's my habits, I can't break that habit.

Is Deathscyther really that prone to Bursting? Moreso than Ragnaruk? From the few times I've clicked/unclicked it and looked at its teeth they look/feel more durable than Valkyrie's.

But yeah, I definitely know that feel of taking too many risks in the finals. Looking back there were several times that I knew my opponent was going to use a Stamina/Defense combo/hybrid that I knew I could OS but instead I went with Attack. Congrats to lawesomeness though, winning with Ragnaruk and only Ragnaruk takes some serious skill.
It's not about the teeth, it's about the contact points. Deathscyther has few of them but they are thick and a direct impact with them can be enough to cut the Layer right off.

Before anyone freaks out, this thing (predictably) beat Deathscyther Spread Survive. It's just a weaker variant of Valkyrie Heavy Survive/Claw, though it was evidently still strong enough.
Dammit @[Bey Brad] keep it down man. I wanted them to lose their chair or mind.

Yes... sadly it beat Deathscyther Spread Survive..... in the finals... Crying
Risky combo to use in the final!

The PD that Neo used was aggresive due to the wear it got when it spun on concrete before the game. It didn't really affect its performance overall though. I learned that SA165 is very risky because of its imbalance. I never really thought it was a problem until today. Lots of fun today. A fun combo was MSF Killerken Dragooon E230 RSF used by Coopatruth. It was a really good counter against my Reviser Dragooon SA165 EWD or my Duo (can't remember).

What imbalance ? And in what mode did you use it ?
Actually, the PD wear was from using it.
The concrete was actually Cooper's WD, which he ended up not using.

I used Normal Mode.

The Normal mode (non-attack). After a few hits the Bey would tilt and lose spin because of it being off balance.
I feel like it was our worn ewd's causing that. Once I switched dragoon to wd it did much better.

Odin Heavy Defense was the big player today. Best Stamina combo in the game right now in my opinion, and it also has better Defense than Deathscyther Spread Survive did, which makes it a very safe choice in general. Assault also saw some use to counter Accel combos (mostly 1234beyblade because of his super launch lol), but apparently it has issues KOing traditional stationary Stamina/Defense types?

DYING RIGHT NOW LOOOOOL

Odin Heavy Defense is pretty insane; probably the star of the day today. Beatable, for sure, but really good. Honestly, I was actually afraid of playing in DEUX.5 because of it. From what I saw today, even with a good stall from things like Deathscyther Spread Accel, you just can't out-spin it. It is probably the stamina combo in the game so far, and as far as I know, has good defense as well. Definitely something to look out for in tournaments.
Everytime I used something other than Odin Heavy Defense in DEUX.5 ... I lost haha. And several of my losses at DIR en BEY : D E U X could have been wins had I chosen to not overthink things and continued sticking with Odin Heavy Defense!

Was this considered an actual event, or was it just for fun? It wasn't officially planned on the thread, so that's why I'm asking.

Actual event. We've never done it before, but we had enough people and everyone who was still around seemed up for it so we decided to go for it! That said, it won't necessarily be a regular thing by any means.

Well Odin certainly is competitive. Wyvern now entered our metagame for real this time round. A couple of people had trouble with Wyvern sticking to the launcher though... And barely any Deathscythers... Unhappy

In regard to having more tournaments on the same day, we also finished early, but it was way too cold for us to do another one... I may try and hook us up with an indoor venue Tongue_out
And now we see why attack needs Extreme.
