What made you choose Beyblade over other things?

See what made me choose Beyblade over Bakugan was .

1. In Beyblade you actually battle instead of adding points to pretend like you are battling.

2. I always had way more fun with Beyblade. One day I thought of something while I was 'battling' my friend in Bakugan I thought I remember those old plastic Beyblades they were always much more fun then this.

3. The old shows for Beyblade rocked while Bakugan's show was carp.

So what made you choose?
i've always been fascinated with spinning tops, so when i turned on the tv and saw the anime i felt like it was meant for me Smile
I choose 1 all they way! Cause:

Bakugan's show is just way too boring and have no action at all except throwing a ball of plastic and pretend it is a monster.. beyblade have action fun, customize able, interesting show, cool story and most of all, it's originalSmile unlike bakugan, which is trying to imitate yuguiohWink
Actually many people have more than one hobby, haha.

Beyblade was a part of my childhood so I've always remembered it. I loved the old series so much which is why I came to the new series. [:
I got into the newer BeyBlade mostly on nostalgia and the fact that I like monster/collection anime and cartoons, aside from Pokemon. That show and concept just never clicked with me like Digimon did. I do like Bakugan however. Both the anime and the toys themselves.

Plus, customizable tops are a nice concept.
Sort of same as blah. Nostalgia FTW!

But its more than a Game. Its a sport sort of. Its more than Calculating some points or Laying down some Cards.
Yu-Gi-Oh is sort of close to it. But with beyblade. Its not how many Cards you have that makes you good. You come up with your own Combos, Launches. Its more than a average Game is what Im saying. Its scientific. Its such an In-depth, out of your Ordinary game.

I normally go from one Hobby and then drop it. I have stuck with Beyblade for 9 Months. Thats probably 8 or 7 months more than any other Hobby.
well lets see, back in my early childhood, playing beyblades or yu-gi-oh was a right of passage at school, any boy that didnt play it was a loser, and there was not one boy who didnt play either. i played both, and i was great at beyblades, but nobody knew how life points worked, so we played till all of a players cards were gone. thus i played beyblades more. then i went to the senior section of the school, even grade 6s played it in the bin lids. yu-gi-oh was now bigger than beyblades, as now people knew the rules, so beyblades were fading. i continued to play beyblades till grade 5, when they cut out, and i missed them. 3 years later battle strikers come out and i buy one of those to remind me of beyblades. then i find striker axis and that led me to the wbo, witch after going to my first tournament, my beyspirt egnighted in a new, bigger way, and thats how i chose beyblades over my every other hobby i play. long story i know, but i love how things turn out.
I've played Beyblade since I was little, along with Crush Gear and Yu Gi Oh,
I remember going out every Sunday after church and battling other kids on a chair, bowl and occasionally stadiums when someone brought it. My first bey was Dragoon S, and I remember having a beyblade every step of my life. I see photos from my childhood, and I'm always holding a bey or a launcher.
Crush Gear and Yu Gi Oh died out when I moved to Australia, and so did Beyblade. I didn't realise there were Beyblades in Australia until I was in year 4. When I found out, I rushed to the nearest store and bought one.
I think it was a Trygle 2? One with EG core.
Anyway it broke in a week because my parents didn't like me playing beyblade so they threw it away.
I didn't play again until one day at church I saw a little boy playing with something metallic and round.
I asked him what it was, and shockingly, he said "It's a beyblade" I was so thrilled!
I asked him if I could try it and he let me, and he just gave it to me when I said "You can have it back now"
I didn't know what bey it was, since it was my first time, and I later on traded it for a Ray Unicorno and Thermal Lacerta...I didn't know how much it was worth...
I nearly died when I realised what it was. It was a Vulcan Horuseus and I just traded it for Unicorno and Lacerta omg.
I asked the guy for a trade-back, but he already traded it to someone.
And a few days later, on my birthday, my brother bought me a new Galaxy Pegasis (Which started my passion for attack type beys) and that's my long story which went off topic...sorry Tongue_out
sorta the same as blah chups and katanazero

When i was little i used to play beyblade , but then everybody at my school started quitting so i had nobody to battle so then i quit myself. I then went through numerous hobby's for about 1-2 months each but they would never be that fun to me . Then one day I saw beyblade on TV and ran straight to the computer to learn as much as i could about them and where to find them Grin

The thing that made me choose was that beyblade is different every time , unlike yu-gi-oh were it just depends on who has the best cards or bakugan which i didn't even no what they did TBH or pokemon cards because i never learnt the rules so i just made stuff up .
All the tiny factors and ideas that go into beyblading outweigh about any other hobby. even when people stopped playing, I kept practicing cause, some how, I felt a revival coming. the good die young, but the best revive every time.
I would prefer Beyblade more than anything in the world! It is what makes me wake up in the morning and also makes me broke. Bakugan used to be my fav intel I found out that Beyblade was cool again.

Spinning tops have always fascinated me in many ways possible!
Beyblade came around when I was in late middle school, I don't think it was a matter of me "choosing it over something else", but more along the lines of me just "choosing it". I was in awe when I first laid my eyes upon the fascinating spinny tops, and I have been ever since. When every one else grew out of it and stopped playing, and when the show disappeared and the beys vanished from store shelves, it seemed as if beyblade was a thing of the past. But there was just something about it that I could never let go, it has something most other games don't, otherwise I wouldn't still be playing it after years of harsh absence.
I chose beyblades because when I was little it was the coolest thing around. But soon it died out after I was in it. I got a Dragoon,Draciel,Dranzer and i forget my other one. one day I was looking for some nerf guns. I new beyblades were gonna come out soon. I was walking down with my desired guns when I looks and saw a Storm Pegasus. I stared at it for 5-10 mins then my mom came and said "you found what you wanted"? I said yes and put away the gun and grab the Storm Pegasus and a Rock Leone. After 5 minutes of debating if I could get two if I did extra chorse I got them both. we payed for them went to the car I ripped them open put em together and got a Cyber Draciel Stadium I had and bladed for hours upon hours =D

Thats how I chose beyblades.
Well, I was on the Pokemon/Beyblade bandwagon for awhile. I still like Yu-Gi-Oh (Not the 5D's carp, the original and GX), and like certain Pokemon series (The original, not Diamond and Pearl or Black and White) so I've lost interest in those two, and I've always loved the original Beyblades, so I started looking at YouTube videos of the original beys. Then, one morning I go out to my living room and see my brother watching TV. I said "What are you watching" and he said "I don't know, Bakugan just ended so I'm waiting to see what's next." I'm like, okay, I'll watch. Then a minute later, I hear the new Beyblade theme, and I'm like "HOLY COW! BEYBLADE IS BACK! HOORAY!" and then I start watching the actual show, and I'm like "This is the stupidest show ever." Then my friend comes to school a few days later with the tops, and I keep telling him those are stupid, that the original are way better, and he disagreed. I fight with him, and I finally give in to hating those things, and started to notice how some of them had gimmicks which what made me start to like them. I buy an LLD and a Dark Bull, and got hooked from there forward. I used to know absolutely nothing, found this website, and now use the actual terms and know what each part means and he always stared at me thinking what in the world I'm talking about. Now, I'm typing this, how I got into Beyblades. The reason I left Pokemon is because the games were getting stupid, and I never really understood the card game (played it like Yu-Gi-Oh) and I left Yu-Gi-Oh because the show was stupid, and never really liked the new cards (DARK MAGICIAN FTW!). So yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
It reminded me of how a battle between a sword and sheild or some sort of weapon would be, and to me it seemed fun, cool, and something that I could make to fit me. Also beyblade gives the idea that they're much like the living beings/creatures that they're supposed to represent, so it made me think that they were alive. Plus, it's just plain AWESOME!
i was walking down the isle ^ this is sortuve like freak's andi had a nintendo in my hands then i saw a dark wolf and i stopped and put the ds away sprinted back picked it out, found my mom and said im done! and she said where did the gameboy thing go? i said " its called a nintendo ds!, but i put it back because beyblade is back and she was like "ok you can have both" i said" yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss" and i walked out of the store with a ds and a dark wolf.
I choose Beyblade over anything else because it breaks the "norm" barrier. Beyblade is a game of strategy; a game where you must customize and adapt to win. It's a game where you must not only have combo, but you must have the technique and skill too. You can literally play it anywhere, and that makes it fun because the enviroment effects the way you play. Plus, they're cheap! And by far, this is better than Bakugan. A game of high performance extreme spinning battling tops vs. a game of transforming marbles and cards. Hmph. The Beyblade show is far more interesting, too.
Well I chose beyblade over every thing because I grow up liking it and I loved the thrill of getting new ones and making combos also I loved playing it more then anything like bedamon and those kind of things so really I cant see how I can not like the game more then anythingSmile

QFT

Not that it was bad, season one was great actually, it is just when they didn't play by game rules anymore (though season 2 was ok though) it started sucking and all they did was pointless battles and advertise them ex. the moble assaults and the colossus figures Tongue_out

The game was good in the first 2 series and then slowly the gameplay went downhill now that the gs got soooo widespread xD

but yeah, I was kind sceptical about beyblade at first but then it got instantly hooked Grin It brought back childhood memories (when I first went looking for them I didn't know they were once discontinued and expected plastic beys xD)
I chose Beyblade fothe same reason as the rest of you, to bring back my memorys of the origanals. I first found my intrest in beyblade renewed by the fact that pokemon, yu gi oh, and bakugan were the same thing every time, so i gave up on it all, i was gonna stop with all the kids cartoon to toy to game carp, but than something called to me at my local target store, i walked to the toy section to see if any new Transformers were out yet, but than i saw them, the new Beyblade Metal Fusion beys were out, and i wAs "HOLY FTW I CANT BELIVE THIS IS HAPPANING!!!" so i grabed the first bey i could find (Dark wolf Face off set) and bought it and was suprized to see the difference in strategy beyblade evolved into.
Is it just me or is that everyone was just gonna buy something but then they saw beyblades and bought that instead lol
I chose beyblades because playing them is so much fun, going to places with so many other bladers who made awesome combinations and physical action, it is so much more lively than staying in the room playing games. Beyblade is also has a strategic manner, what bey you choose, launch technique, everthing is so different than just pressing some buttons. + it made me some friends and me quite famous.

Lol the + and over I wonder how
I chose Beyblade because I saw how much fun the 2nd graders were playing it. I chose MFB since that's when I heard of beyblade.
Well beyblade came out when i was 3 so i had them and my sister had them, she'd always beat me but sometimes i pulled back ( never underestimate the power of Dragoon ). Then eventually they died and the new thing was Fly Wheels. So i had them for a while and eventually they died and slowly became unpopular again ( off topic )........ 6 years later i got Foxtel ( finally ) and nothing was on but Beyblade Metal Fusion, so i watched that and slowly started to remember. Long story short, I watched it again and again then i got back into it and got it for Christmas and so on. But doesn't mean i dont have other hobbies
