I feel like there's still niggas that owe me checks
I feel like there's still bitches that owe me sex
I feel like this but niggas don't know the stress
I lost the only girl in the world that know me best
I got the money and the fame and that don't mean carp
I got the Jesus on a chain, man that don't mean carp
Cause when the Jesus pieces can't bring me peace
So I need just at least of one of Russell's nieces
On...I let my nightmares go
I put on for everybody that I knew from the go
I know dese hoes that was frontin when they knew we was broke
They say damn, Yeezy Yeezy, you don't know us no more
You got that big fame homie, and you just changed on me
You can ask big homie, man the top so lonely III....
So lonely III....

Been addicted to the Water disc of the Alchemy Index the past few days.
Double post, shut up.

Thrice - Kings Upon the Main

I LOVE the lyrics to this song, as well as the song itself.

"This lesson you'd do well not to forget.
Your life could be the one its wisdom saves
At sea, when you're beleaguered and beset,
On every side by strife of wind and waves.

Despite the best of maps and bravest men,
For all their mighty names and massive forms,
There will never be and there has never been
A ship or fleet secure against the storms.

When kings upon the main have clung to pride,
And held themselves as masters of the sea,
I've held them down beneath the crushing tide
Till they have learned that no one masters me.

But grace can still be found within the gales;
With fear and reverence, raise your ragged sail. "

The lyrics are written from the perspective of the sea and how we as humans have abused it. Ugh I love this song. The last tracks on all 4 Alchemy Index songs have such great lyrics and metaphorical meanings. Love Thrice. Love them.
