Upcoming changes to "painted blades" rule in WBO Beyblade X rules

This is a good callout. Currently yes, dyed blades will also be forbidden.
We understand that when correctly executed dying is actually a great method to color blades that doesn't result in transfer. However, the likelihood of it creating confusion during judge check or with the opponent, or the part being incorrectly dyed (such as not fully separating the metal from the plastic beforehand) mean it's just easier to forbid it.
Generally, it should be understood that aesthetic customizations such as painting and dying are something you do for fun and for personal use, not for competitive play.

That's correct, the guidelines around painting launchers are not changing.

yup whatever ur creative mind can think of
What if you add paint on non-contact point on the blade like the dot pattern on claw leon or these like pockets on aero pegasus and it didn't change the weight🤔

Under the current rules, custom painted blades are generally allowed provided they do not affect performance. Painted blades can be banned under an optional rule.
Soon, this rule will be changed to forbid fully custom painted blades by default, except for small markings in non-contact areas (e.g. launcher hooks). This is consistent with the official B4 rules. A new optional rule will be added for organizers who wish to allow fully painted blades, and can commit to inspecting them for performance issues.
Why are we changing this?
Our current rules forbid paint applications that would affect performance. However, actually enforcing this is difficult — the texture of the paint and the quality of the application can both affect performance, and we've seen many examples of painted parts people brought to tournaments that should not have been accepted.
We've also heard an increasing amount of feedback about custom paint jobs leaving marks on stadiums and other Beys. While even officially coated parts can leave marks in stadiums, the way they do so is consistent, predictable, and generally easy to clean. With custom paint, there is basically an infinite number of potential paints and applications that can affect this differently.
Ultimately, the volume of feedback we'd heard from both organizers and bladers convinced us that this was the best way forward.
- This rule change should go live in early November, when the new version of our Beyblade X rulebook is released. The current rule does not change until the new rulebook is released.
- Organizers who wish to allow the use of painted blades, and can commit to inspecting them thoroughly for performance, will be able to allow painted blades through a new optional rule.
