in the WBO rules it states fake CX lock chips are acceptable as long as they have a similar weight to the real ones
therefore, could i use my metal 3d printer to make a fake metal cx chip with a similar weight to the existing ones?

You are mistaken. Fake Metal Lock chips are not allowed in the WBO rulebook.

What about fake plastic ones
