Is the burst resistance bad on 3-85 because of the different lock mechanism? 
I thoyght typithe higher height ratchets are supposed to have better resistance 
Is this the mechanism that's going to be on CX release

An average 3-85 will have more burst res than a Low resistance bit, but less than a high resistance bit. Yes it is the same mechanism that will be on 4-55.

yeah but with hexa which has a thick shaft unlike ord or ball it will make the bey harder to burst

true but most shark edge combos I see are on low bits and I think if the bey has a good height on it like tall tapper 3 85 it would be a lot taller then a low siting shark edge

here put in pov your a 50 height bey and there is a towering 95 height bey and the ratchet is closer to the blade

3-85 has a set burst resistance, and doesn't account for bit resistance. So Hexa and Ball would effectively have the same resistance if you used either on 3-85.
