I'll start off by listing my favorite series, and why I liked them

Ultraman Leo - Talk about brutal!

You have, among other highlights, a crippled Ultraseven stuck in human form, people crushed, stabbed, shot, sliced in half, team members dying in combat, the whole team is later killed except for the two main characters, graphic kaiju (alien monster) combat and even the graphic dismemberment of a key character.

Ultraman Nexus - Amazing series. Deeper stories and slightly more compelling Kaiju. Completely dark in tone compared to earlier series. Too bad it was carped by the network by putting it on the Saturday morning kid's block (they wanted to air it on prime time)

Ultraman Mebius - Another one I liked, though not as much as Leo and Nexus. Great storyline. Only bad part is, the actor who plays Mebius is kind of

A Giant of Light revived after millennia. As well as his Multi Type natural form, he can Type Change into a Power Type form which is specialized for fighting with great strength on land and a Sky Type form that is specialized for aerial combat and agility. He wields the sacred weapon Circle Arms in battle. Height: 53m. Weight: 44,000 tons. (*Same in every form)

Kengo Manaka, the protagonist 
The protagonist of the show, he transforms into Ultraman Trigger. He’s 21 years old. With a sociable, kind, and hard-working personality, he has a fiery sense of justice that compels him to fight to protect humanity’s smiling faces.He lived peacefully as a botanist on the Mars colony until the day he had a fateful encounter with the Giant of Light. Although feeling uncertain with the sudden changes that are happening to him, he heads to Earth to become the newest recruit of the expert team “GUTS-Select”.

Ultraman is still going on, you can buy stuff on hobby sites or amazon and ebay. The latest toys out are Ultraman Z toys. The new Ultraman Trigger toys come out this summer. Here is a toy.

If I had too make predictions assumign these rumors are true, Haruki will come mid season. GUTS Falcon will be the starting Mecha. Nursedessei-Go is the second Mecha debuting somewhat early on too combine with Falcon. Also I think Satandelos will be late Trigger, so around episode 20.

Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga
#1 The Giant of Light! Ultraman Trigger!
Kengo lived on a colonized Mars, and a Monster attacked. Luckily, a mysterious figure came to save him. He is inspired by these acts, and decides to headed back to Earth where he now lives. The reason is because he wants to join GUTS Select, a group that protects Earth from Monsters like the one Kengo ran into. A Monster attacks, and the GUTS Select building is a little damaged. Debris hits both the pliot and the back up pilot on the Mecha that defeats the monsters, the GUTS Falcon. Kengo has a little experience so he takes up the job, but his lack of experience made him use the GUTS Falcon only in Jet Mode, which made him get hit and suffer a fatal injury. On the brink of death, the mysterious figure returns to save him! His name is Ultraman Trigger, and he gets Kengo to combine with him. This saves his life, and also allows Ultraman to defeat the Monster in Multi Type form. The episode ends with Kengo, alive, on the gerund left with the GUTS Sparklence and a GUTS Hyper Key.
