This thread pretty much does what it says on the tin, It's a thread about current soap operas, I can honestly say I only watch Eastenders out of the 4 mentioned, but if this thread goes well I don't see the point of making 4 separate threads. Basically, talk about which soap you like and why, then your favourite character and least favourite character, here goes.

I like Eastenders because of the interesting albeit sometimes predictable storylines addressing all aspects of today's multicultural society, although I could probably see myself watching any of the others if my family watched them. My favourite character is Alphie Moon, because of his cheeky, Del-boy, happy go lucky attitude and quirky nature, however I think he's brilliant when we see his go-getter guise broken and his fragility exposed when he thought his son died.I guess I really don't have a least favourite, but I suppose that would be Ronnie Mitchell, because of the whole baby swap thing.

Please don't argue about which one you think is better, this is where we Brits unite.

Britishness at it's best, my favourite, even though I don't watch it much, is a tie between Corrie and EastEnders.

Cool man, like I said, the other ones have just never really piqued my interest and seem a bit user-unfriendly to get into, but I hear Snoop-Dog likes Corrie, so I might gibe it a shot, even if I'm not a fan of said snoop doggy-dig.

Eastenders has the best storyline of them all. But at New Years Eve it had over 5000 complaints...
