Tea thread
I've never found black particularly bitter unless overbrewed but it's certainly not sweet, either.
If sweeter teas are what you think you'll like, fruit blends are indeed the way to go but that doesn't have to limit you to fruit teas without any actual tea in them. A nice cherry black tea, mango green or orange rooibos, for example, would make a great entry point into the world of sophisticated blends, while vanilla will work similarly without changing the taste of the tea quite as much.
