Colour me surprised. This game apparently isn't completely carp. It isn't good, but it's not carp from the reviews I've been reading.

I'll be getting the PS2 version in a week. I'll also get the PS3 or 360 version on X-mas. From what I've heard the werehog Levels aren't to bad even though they take up 65% of the PS2 version. PS3 and 360 versions are sapose to have more day time stages.

I'll have to give this a rental. The night time levels still look like a shadow engine but with new animations to me. Hopefully, the day time levels will save it, because i really want to see a Sonic game done right.

I personally think its a fun game ONLY during when its Sonic and not the stupid WareWolf carp, Its a mix of Sonic Rush and Secret Rings with Sonic and its a blast to play with. I think everyone can say that they were instantly sceptical once they introduced the Warehog carp.
The thing that gets me though is the Level design, I really loved the whacky level designs in the Old Sonics like Casino Night Zone in Sonic 2 or Ice Cap Zone in Sonic 3, the levels in Unleashed are pretty dull and plain.

The only time Sonic the Hedgehog is worth playing is when it's a blindingly fast side-scroller, with lots of loops, quarterpipes, ramps, and springs.
Also, what's up with the recent trend of turning classic videogame characters into werewolves? First it was Link, now Sonic... who's next? Mario? Megaman? Q-Bert and Pac-Man?
Actually a game in which Q-Bert becomes a werewolf might be too surreal to pass up...

i'm getting it for christmas on wii, the controls may be anoying

I'm so dissapointed by this. 
I mean, I haven't played it, and it may be a good game (doubt it), but the whole concept of a weresonic........it's just depressing. The best Sonic games were the ones for the Sega Genesis/Megadrive. God they were awesome. XD

i got sonic unleashed on the ps2 and its a good game. i was lukin forward to the werehog thing but its just pathetic. the normal levels were good. birdman chip and sonic look pretty cool. overall not gr8 but worth a try
