SNES: Great console or greatest console?

I see the PS2 as being the greatest console ever though, sales and game library wise.

We all know Wii is the greatest system ever.

It's like a Turducken, but with consoles instead of poultry!
It's a great console, and possibly one of the greatest, but not the greatest in my opinion.

The best games for this console were the classic ones:

Megaman X
Donkey Kong Country
Super Mario Bros.
Pitfall (actually it was kind of annoying sometimes)

There are more, but my lent my games to my cousins, and my SNES isn't working right now. I might go buy another one soon...I miss my early years of gaming.
This was out when I was too young to play video games(I think), when I was young, I played N64 and PS1, so those are the greatest systems IMO, there are some good games for SNES(Super Metroid, Super Mario World, and, I assume, Super MArio RPG, etc.) and the N64 doesn't have Metroid, but still. I mainly never got into SNES because I hated TLOZ:LTTP. I still can't play that stupid game.

the n64 and ps1 don't compare to the SNES at all

n64 sucked balls and ps era wasn't amazing until ps2
n64 did not suck balls you shut the carp up

n64 was the biggest disappointment. it had some great titles, but also a far more mediocre library

plus games were too damn expensive

This.

I remember Hey, You Pikachu! was like $120.

Granted it came with a peripheral, but even so that is ridiculous.

Wii is an odd case though, in that it is a huge disappointment in the eyes of core gamers and yet its still monstrously successful in the marketplace.

N64, however, was pretty much a big bomb after the first Christmas.
The N64's flop was because of the PS1, no?
ocarina of time
majora's mask
bomberman 64
diddy kong racing
mario kart 64
goemon
mario party
jet force gemini
star fox 64
goldeneye
perfect dark
banjo kazooie
banjo twoie
wetrix
super smash bros
super mario 64

so many good 64 games, i'm missing a bunch here and it's still a respectable list of AAA titles
ok maybe saying it sucked balls was hyperbole, but it is not at the zenith; that belongs to the SNES

we all know whats at the nadir though
