Recent Games Played [Commentary is mandatory]

I've played a couple online games, Fiesta and Shaiya. And then yesterday at my church I played Guitar Hero III and DDR, don't know what version though, it was for the Xbox
Got LIVE back up so:

Halo 3

Just played a SBTB match to check if LIVE was running ok. We got our asses kicked like, 100-58. They controled the laser and vehicles early, etc...their Banshee crushed us. I actually skyjacked the guy, only to get skyjacked myself straight away by the same guy while he was still in the air. I played badly through most of it, still adapting to Halo on my new widescreen tv, plus it had been over 2 months since I played in a real match (also used to Fallout 3 controls right now).

Fallout 3

Did the "Head of State" and "The Superhuman Gambit" side quests. The later was amusing loollolololol I got their costumes too.
Pumped for the DLC tomorrow.
i've forgot to say

finished Mirrors Edge. It was great. ending leaves something to be desired, but the game is great. level design was great. many times reminding me of half-life and portal. even if combat was broken I thought it still was quite fun lol the death turn around is so short that idc. also I think its worth noting that for once I would grimace if i died falling...
I don't think the gunplay is all that bad either, it is different, and shooting feels weaker but I adjusted. def not a fps.

Dice imo did great. great IP, hope there is spinoff or like.

willbe great to run through again in a few months Grin

Condemmed: bloodshot demo- brutalll... kinda freaky for sure. looked pretty good. really sick cutscenes though, had to be mo cap.

FEAR project origin demo(on hard?)- pretty cool but looked crappy to me nasty textures imo. condemmed looked better but they are both by monolith.
hell of a atmosphere though and got me jumpy. but it didn't last enough. Ai is pretty dynamic though, like them. some smart flanking and cover use. they can drop you easy in 3 on one.
mecha thing was weird.. didn't fit.
wasn't that hard really so kinda dissappointed. while i didn't want to be scared, i actually really did because they can do it well.
I know Im getting deadspace b4 I even look in Fears direction though

Wipeout HD_ sweet as hell. not nearly as hard to play or steer as I've read on so many sites but i guess they didn't play the PSP games enough. Speechless great music, custom controls, excellent photomode, 1080p and actually good 6axis motion use, steering is actually fun and still can use analog to micro adjust.
very frenetic, i think the HUD could be better but its a super HQ great psn release, i just dunno when to buy it..
I bought, played, and beat Time Splitters Future Perfect for Playstation 2. Time Splitters 2 left me wanting something more, and TS Future Perfect was better than I could have hoped.

Im currently finishing up Manhunt 2, Hot Shots Golf Open Tee 2, and Final Fantasy Crisis Core for the PSP. They are all excellent games.
Got my Skate 2 disk repaired, so yeah playing Skate 2 ALOT right now. Ranking up Online and getting a stack of cash for Career mode atm Grin
Fallout 3.

Well, 54/54 achievements.
Operation Anchorage was fantastic, many people complained it was way too different from normal Fallout, but I thought thats what made it really cool.
The fact that it was played in a totally new enviroment, with its own unique twists made it really cool.

Plus the Gauss rifle is just amazing, My character was an energy weapons specialist, so I made VERY good use of it.
I just finished the Operation Anchorage DLC as well.

I was really impressed, it played wayyyy different than the rest of Fallout -- that definitely wasn't a bad thing. It kind of reminded me of the Shadow Moses act from MGS4.
dynasty warriors 6

it sucks

My work has a disk polishing machine, it gets rid of the layers of the disk that is scratched with 3 Pads going on at the same time, does the job Wink

But seriously, Microsoft needs to fix that carp problem.

Oh god, I was doing so well.
Then the chainsaw man came after me. [Image: 29ayvq0.gif]
Which made me take note that the decapitation death is 'censored' in this one. You see the chainsaw start digging into Chris's neck, but then it starts to pan away a bit, so you don't actually see the severed head.

Sheva is good, way better than Ashley, Sheva can hold a gun, and USE IT!
However, after playing RE4 on Wii so much, I've gotten accustomed to the different controls, having to use a regular controller again is a bit of a difficulty.

This basically sums up all of my thoughts on the demo lol. It took me a couple tries to beat the second stage, and I finally did one time with some dude on Xbox Live. Chainsaw Guy is still as nerve-racking as ever.

The aiming was hard to get used to, it works well but seems much clunkier and imprecise compared to RE4: Wii Edition (which is to be expected).

Can't wait for the full game.
just finished gow2,the first game i finish on my new 360 Smile

Worth every penny. I'm still going through it (just disabled the Pulse Field), but it has been great so far.

The setting, the missions, the strike team (well, they're a bit weak, but it's cool) plus there's a lot of action going on through most of it. I liked how they had usefull/important objects glowing red, making them easier to spot. The ammo/health dispenser was a nice idea too, so it worked kinda like checkpoints; while you always had limited ammo, you also had a reliable way to stock back up on it.
The Scoped Gauss Rifle is kick carp. 104 max damage, same range as the Sniper Rifle, huge knock-down effect upon a successful hit. As if we weren't powerful enough before lol
New enemies like the Chimera Tank and the Crimson Dragoon guys were cool as well (there could've been more Chimera tanks in it though).

I think I missed 1 of the intel cases (I'm at 9/10 right now), but the new Perk doesn't give that big a boost in skills and it's not really a necessity for me as it is.
Been playing Lost Odyssey allot.
And though I bought Mass Effect at the same time, I still haven't got as far as putting it in my disk tray.
halo 3,the online mode is so addicting. that was the last day i can play vediogames in cuz i have exams the next 2 weeks Unhappy if i got great marks this year and next year and SAt i may come to us to study Smile and then we can meet Smile
I just played the Resident Evil 5 demo. I am really not impressed.

The controls for this game are clunky as carp and the entire game just feels really archaic. I tried every one of the possible control schemes and I hated them all. I don't understand how any of you can stick up for that game's controls or for the game in general, to be entirely honest.

The limited movement with the controls does not increase the amount of tension in the game -- the game isn't scary or tense in the first place. The only thing the controls increase is my amount of frustration with how long it takes me to execute basic maneuvers in a game on a current generation console. I'm sorry you guys but this is unacceptable.

But... At least the game is pretty? That's about all its got going for it as far as I'm concerned.
I just played Dead Space for seriously 6 and a half hours. There was a brief break so I could eat dinner, but otherwise it was straight gaming.

carp RE5, I'd play Dead Space over that game ANY day. I started playing at Chapter 4 and now I'm at the start of Chapter 11 (of 12 total) LOL
Besides the fact that you're forced to change weapons on the fly (as opposed to pausing the game in RE4), and the aiming (which feels much slower and imprecise when compared to RE4: Wii Edition), I really don't have any problems with the controls.

I still had a lot of fun with the game, despite those two control problems.
Just finished Dead Space.

A+++++++++++++++++++++++ would play again.

Gears of War 2

Finished my co-op campaign run with a friend who owns the game. Co-op is always fun. The story was kinda messy though....I guess I didn't follow the cut-scenes all the time.

Fallout 3

Completed the Operation Anchorage DLC. It was great, but I was really hopping for a big battle at the end. The Gauss Rifle and Chinese Stealth Armor kick carp.
Today, completed the "Waters of Life" quest. The weirdest carp happened while I was at it. We were mid way into Taft Tunnels, when I turn back and spot a power armor outline in the distance, T-51b power armor that is. I go take a look and both Charon (I gave him the T-51b) and Dogmeat were there waiting for me when they were supposed to be at my house in Megaton (I told them to wait there and they didn't follow). They just appeared there all of a sudden and were in "wait" mode.
Grand Theft Auto!......

Best Game Ever!!
Bully
God Of War
Spiderman: Friend Or Foe

(PS2)
resident evil 5 demo

this game is sooooo much better in co-op than single player. also, start with shanty town, the other chapter that you can do is ridic hard.
