Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts

I really wish I could share the manga here, because I genuinely think Lain is very well written in it.
So yeah, this is a weird thing I've just found out myself. So remember in Episode 102 of MFB Baku where there's a woman's voice constantly counting down the amount of minutes till Hades City meltdown? Apparently there's two versions.

The first one says something along the lines of "Hades City" before counting down the minutes on 5:28 - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QtVQ7ZpEPuk&t=331s

The second one I found says "Meltdown" before counting down the minutes on 6:11 - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xA_UtdxuJbI

It's weird because they're both in Japanese as well. In fact, I remember the first version with the creepier voice more, since I saw it on two uploads of Ep 102 JP. Anyone know why there's two different versions?

According to scenario wrighter of Beyblade Burst Hideki Sonoda.
They still make new Anime but make you wait and it'll not be onair in Japan.
I guess it means Hasbro make original Anime?

Nothing is confirmed. We don't know if it's a TV series, movie, shorts, etc. If this ends up happening, I would not be surprised since Hasbro has commissioned BeyWheelz/BeyRaiderz/BeyWarriors anime series in the past, after the Metal Series came to an end.
where exactly did you find this?

My best guess is the first version ("Hades City will self destruct in 10 minutes") is the TV broadcast version, based on the upload date of the video. The second version (raws from DranzerX13) I assume are DVD rips.

That would explain where the differences came from and it is a plausible explanation. However, that also makes me wonder why they even changed it. It doesn't seem like there's a reason to IMO. Like, the only reason I could even think it was changed was because the first voice sounds a bit creepy, but I doubt it's even that bad.
Does Phi have what is considered a bloodlust? His dark aura has malice and ill-intent.

I suppose it could be the audio? In the first version the voice alteration effect is distorting the words' pronunciation so it's a little difficult to understand. The modified version also cut down the amount of words being said.

By definition, Bloodlust means "a desire to kill or maim someone". Now in the context of actually wanting to murder someone, Absolutely the hell not. Not in a kids show.

But if we're talking about "killing" beys (which destroying Beys would be a better term) then i guess you could say that, Phi has been shown to have a rather extreme desire to break beys as proven many times in the anime and he proved to be quite a psycho when it came down to breaking beys without hesitation. However, I don't think Phi would go as far to commit homicide.

That’s a great point. Would you say the same for Gwyn, Arthur, Lain?

Not really to be honest. Arthur wanted to take over Beyblade with his style, i don't think all out destruction was the only thing that mattered to him. Gwyn wasn't much of a threat and wasn't very psychotic at all.

Lean is just a very hot headed boy with a bad temper, that's pretty much it.

I mean bloodlust in a beyblade manner means to destroy beys with desire. I’m pretty sure Arthur would have destroyed beys. And Gwyn wanted to destroy Dragon. Lane as well destroyed beys with desire.

It’s not that he wanted to break Dragon. It was just a part of his calculations and he was frustrated when they didn’t go as planned. So the reason it seemed like he tried to break Dragpn wasn’t really because he wanted to break it, it was just a part of his calculations and he was certain that they were correct so Gwyn wasn’t a bad guy at all, he just wanted to prove his theory that friendship isn’t as Powerful as Numbers but got proven wrong by Drum, Delta, and Amane

Fair point. What about Arthur and Lane?
Despite how much I praise the original Beyblade anime trilogy, there is a couple things about it that I do not like. This is something I think Burst and MFB do better, and it's about the consistency of the rules.

Bit Beasts vs Regular Tops?

The biggest problem I have is that, for the first two seasons, some characters have bit beasts, and some do not, which makes it completely unfair. I wouldn't mind if the main characters only used bit beasts against other opponents with bit beasts, however, I've seen them use bit beasts against generic amateurs too.

In Burst, they have no Bit Beasts, so they get a pass. Gold Turbo does feel plot armoury but it establishes that others can unlock it. In MFB, they arguably didn't, and even then they showed that even generic bladers have the power of the blader spirit to power their beys, as evidenced by the climax against Rago. Sure, the blader spirit stuff can be eye rolling, but at least it's something. I'm not saying it's perfect, some still have special powers or beys, but it's better than "magical beast powered beyblade vs normal regular top".

HMS in the anime

I also still take issue to G-Revolution and it's bad justification of introducing HMS beys. Their excuse of not being a part of BEGA is not a good one, and their excuse of not having any spare parts is even weaker, considering we saw tons of spare parts donated to them. If this is meant to be a fair tournament deciding the fate of the beyblade organization, shouldn't they still use the same system for fairness? I know the Justice 5 tournament was still a close call, but what would've happened if both teams used HMS?

While upgrading systems is natural for beyblade, Burst and MFB kept their core systems the same mostly, whereas HMS is completely different from the Plastic system, and is established to be waaay more powerful anime wise. At least the Zero G system had a better reason for it's creation, I still thought it was clumsily handled there, but it wasn't as radically different as HMS. Burst handled this aspect the best, I'd say.
I feel beyblade burst needs to end after this season for real come on now its repetive
In celebration of Burst I'm doing a couple of what I'm calling Blader tributes. First up is our favorite goofball Dante.

"Dante Koryu is a kind Blader with a cheery personality and a strong sense of justice. But, when he gets nervous, his intense expression can scare off those around him. He learned to Blade from his mentor, Valt Aoi, during his time at BC Sol. After witnessing Valt’s Valtryek achieve Hyper-Flux, the ultimate state of a Bey, Dante decides to set off on his own adventure to help his Bey, Dragon, discover its full potential." - Beyblade Burst Rise Offical Bio

"This Blading legend is a huge goofball who just happens to be a natural Blading genius. Inspired by Valt Aoi, Dante began his Beyblade journey at BC Sol. Kind and cheerful, he’s the kind of Blader to charge headfirst into anything without holding back. His ignorance of the concept of personal space might surprise some at first, but it’s just one part of his talent for making friends." - Beyblade Burst Surge Offical Bio
