Project Rising Beetle - A Medabots Fansite Celebrating 10 Years of Robattling!

So some of you guys might already know this, but I like Medabots, a small Japanese RPG franchise from the late 90s, early 2000s that was transformed into manga, anime, card games, model kits, and more. I just loved everything. So I decided to start a fansite that celebrates Medabots, chronicles news stories, and will try help get future Medabot games coming to North America.

I'd love it if you guys could give me some hits, and join the forums. Wink

Project Rising Beetle
Awesome, I thoiught i was the only person to remember Medabots.
I LOVED Medabots. While I don't mind the dub at all, since it's one of the few I like, I've been trying to convince a sub-group that specializes in Yu-Gi-Oh subs to do this one, too. I even posted the link to that site, Project Rising Beetle, to give more of an incentive.

As of now, the future projects suggestions for Medarots and Beyblade (all three seasons) at 7 votes each, the highest in all the suggestions.
I'll be willing to do CEO Advertising, if you'd like to the direct audience!
I'll join the forums. i used to have Medabots: Infinity, and I loved it
I loved it though had such little time with it.
I watched the anime whenever YTV had it on, and got this GC game from my japanese friend on my birthday a long, long time ago. Story mode was hard as hell, I still haven't beaten it. lol. That goes for the very last boss(es) of Metriod Fusion.
Thanks everyone! Part of the reason Project Rising Beetle was made because I felt now would be a good time for people to start to become nostalgic about the series, and would like to be reminded of it.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this.
Medabots! I missed that show!
Hm. I wonder if it's beginner-friendly. I guess To could help out the newbies with learning about Medabots, namely me. I saw a game recently at Gamestop, but I didn't get it because I know almost nothing about Medabots.
I've joined PRB and I'm member #9!

Well, the games are aimed at children, so they're pretty noob-friendly, haha. Do you happen to remember which game it was?
Not really. It was for the Gamecube, that's all I know. I looked at it for a second, then I saw Final Fantasy 6 Advance on sale for 10 bucks. Guess which one I went after?
likely Medabots Infinity, then. I remember it pretty well. me and Amber Rosario are huge fans of it, but we were never lucky enough to get the models. I did see a metabee model here and there though
Most likely. I'll try to find it again soon.
I was a fan of the medabots anime (exlcuding damashi) when I was little along with the GBA RPG's. A few years ago I was hit with a wave of medabots nostalgia and decided to code my own online medabots RPG (web browser based). V1 is nearly finished and I will be realising it soon.

Also, I think I can help you out with the site a bit, e.g: hosting, plugins, domain, etc. Drop me a PM if you're interested To.
Check your PMs Medz.

Ah, the GameCube game would be Medabots: Infinity. I am not a fan of that game (though, there are those who like it), so I'd be wary of spending a lot of money on it.
It was 10 bucks, like most used GC games at Game Stop. (If only Melee and PKMN Colosseum were that cheap.) I may pick it up.
Today's the big day! Medabots turns 10 years old in the US:

The TV anime adaptation of Medabots 2, simply titled Medabots debuted on Fox Kids on September 1st, 2001 and quickly became the best rated new show of the 2001 Fox Kids season. Today we're celebrating 10 years of Medabots. Celebrating 10 years of Medabots means a lot, it means remember the past, and all the good times we've had, but it also means looking forward to the future. To join in on the International Day of Robattle, simply follow these two steps:

1) Doing something Medabots related.

Watch an episode of the anime (say, maybe the first one), read the manga, play the games, or just sit back and remember when you could. That's all you need for step one.

2) Share your memories about Medabots on Twitter

On September 1st, we want #Medabots, and #RisingBeetle trending on Twitter! Share your memories with friends, and hopefully spark the interest of those who've never heard of Medabots before into checking out this awesome franchise!

Ultimately the goal of the International Day of Robattle is to unite Medafighters around the world in a single day. By doing this we can show the powers that be that people still care about Medabots, and would love to see more of the franchise in the west. But Project Rising Beetle's festivities don't stop there, oh no, we have [url=http://projectrisingbeetle.wordpress.com/medabots-appreciation-month/">an entire month of Medabots Awareness.[/url] So help us get more people involved and spread the word.
I was browsing the Medabots Wikia/Medapedia and saw this listed as one of the affiliates and checked it out. I think to increase activity, keep less categories and forums since it's still quite small. If there's less places to post, it encourages more concentrated discussions. As it grows, add in more sections.

Also, try a domain, www.co.cc give good free ones.
