Knight Mail.

Best bey name in X so far ngl. Its just stupid enough that its hilarious yet it also makes sense (tis referring to chain mail armor that knights sometimes wear).
so after seeing a few videos on this set I noticed two significant things.

1) Is 3-85 one solid piece insted or two moving parts? It seemed like that to me. Not only does this makes be question it's burst preventiveness, but also the fact is gonna be probably the lightest Ratchet.

2) Why does it seem that the tip on Bounce Spike is closer that that of Semi-Defense or the tip from the Claw Driver? Is it gonna have better stamina?
Easily the most hyped I've been for an X release in a while, alongside SamuraiSaber!

Not only are we actually getting a UX Knight, it's also got fully new parts and some gimmicks!

I like the KnightMail blade design wise! It reminds me of Bandid Goreim from Zero G. I don't think it'll be that useful though, the shape gives me RhinoHorn/SphinxCowl vibes, maybe not as recoil inducing but it looks rigid enough that it'll damper any competitive use, being too rough for stamina and too round for attack. At least it looks nice. The idea of a vertical metal ball gimmick was something I wanted to see more of for Defense type beys in Beyblade, even did a concept for a Kerbeus driver with that gimmick in mind. I imagine the idea would be that it stays upwards a little more with stronger spin, but as the stamina decreases, the metal balls lower down and intends to increase stability.

3-85, there shouldn't be much else to say besides a slightly taller height, but is it just me or does that 3 ratchet look a lot rounder than other 3 ratchets? It's likely to compensate for the taller height by making it less burst prone, but if it is actually different from any other 3, I would've just called it another number instead.

Bound Spike is an interesting idea, I assume it's the Nothing driver of Bits, likely to cushion the impact of not only from a launch, but likely also in order to increase its absorption against smash attacks. The shape is what interests me though, it's a lot more shallow and balanced, and I'm hoping that'll make it useful. My guess is that it'll have a bit of use, but it'll be niche.

This set also contains so many useful parts, so if KnightMail 3-85BS wasn't already enough to convince me to buy this set, I also want the extra Rush, Ball and Point Bit, and I'd love to have that Rubber Accel. Don't really want another Metal Needle but at least it's a nicer colour for ShinobiShadow than the lime green. On top of that, another 1-60 is cool, 7-70 could be good, and getting my first TyrannoBeat blade would be fantastic too! Very excited for this set and I'm gonna get it the day it releases!
hmm. According to the TT description of the Set, I was right about 3-85. It's way more simpler consisting of one piece, and it seems that it's supposed to have good burst resistance regadless of any bit used with it. We may have our first BD145/230/E230 zero, if not dragged down by the fact is gonna be very light in comparisson. Also, lloking closer at Bound Spike, it seems it resembles more the shape of a small Nothing than a SD, meing it might be better that spike at keeping it's balance, but it's not gonna be that good.
Added part descriptions and other images from official website to OP. This one's long.

So, looking at the height stat bar for 3-85, I guess x-50 and x-90 height ratchets are still on the table for future releases?
I’m curious are ptera and bear going to be not in the anime

Knight's stock combo seems to have horrific imbalance, unfortunately.
So glad to see 7-70! And so soon too! Also watching RubberAccel made my eyes light up! That thing is so fast!

Really hoping we see 50 next. 85 is a bit disappointing in my opinion for a next new height. In general it's cool but if you're giving us a new height why not make it something a bit more different.
So, 36.88 is one of the weights seen for Knight Mail, so they finally released a decently heavy defense blade in the set, it might be usable with 7.70 and Hexa to help any imperfections from the stock combo.

I think it’ll likely be used in the same way that TB is used for defense. 7-60H is certain one combination but I’m also interested in potentially seeing it on Rush and Cyclone as mobile defense and/or anti-attack. I’d normally just say R but I think with KM specifically, the height will matter significantly for defense. The side profile looks really weird and it has a kind of sloped shape, so being ever so slightly lower might be somewhat significant (I’m probably overthinking it though)

What I definitely don’t see it being best for is a FB defense combo, I think if you want FB defense you may as well use SW, WR, or LC to reduce recoil as much as possible, rather than KM which seems to be more counter-focused from the limited things I’ve seen + its seemingly recoily shape.

I agree, doing 0.5mm differences for ratchets is frankly absurd. Unless they only plan on having 85 height as a one time no ratchet burst gimmick, then they have now changed the potential heights from 5 options to 9 options, which seems good numerically but is just meh when the difference is 0.5mm (like bro 1mm was already small enough) and the fact that they can’t feasibly release 9 heights for every ratchet shape going forward: 5 was already bad enough. Maybe that’s a good thing to some to add some variety, but to me it’s annoying 😭
