tbf shot would always be the one of unique drivers with absurd gimmicks, which it makes sense to where the layer being usable for comp/deck building
but from a casual standpoint, it might as well be a bey that could jump high (possibly deal attacks from above)
the bey is real interesting really... it might not be for comp, but it might be real fun to play with. kinda like how stupidly fun cyber dragoon and trygle are

Please stay on-topic sir.
¨Rubber wearing down causes the bey to awaken.¨ Hah, translation; ¨the rubber on this bey will inevitably wear down based on the design of the bey so weĺl pass it on as a gimmick in order to satisfy and persuade the consumers. I am honestly willing to bet that this is a similar case to the 2D chassis with this supposed awakening. I gotta hand it to tt though, they are smart to pull that twist.

The difference is that all of these drivers end on a less aggressive mode, and have shapes built smooth and round for LAD. This isn't the case for Shot, which ends on a more aggressive mode and adds extra height when activated that makes it easier to destabilize and hurts LAD. This isn't an issue with these other drivers, and that added height in particular is a huge disadvantage.

Hybrid and Ignition' both excel in same spin, so LAD isn't a huge issue. Generate isn't the greatest in theory, but its aggressive anti-staller movement, less aggressive end step, and sufficient LAD make it usable in Limited in particular. What is Shot gonna do? Lose spin early then try to stall late so it's not winning same spin easily as a purely plastic tip? Fail in LAD being so tall? Shot just lacks a win condition compared to other tips, including it's fused predecessors, short of landing on top of a for.

See I can appreciate your thought process here. Most others are just saying some form of "Oh NoEs, Its GoINg to be SO BaD!" And I agree with most everything you said, but I'm still holding out with my opinion till I actually see it in action on multiple setups. Because it won't be till then that we will truly know how good/bad it is (that's the main point im trying to make).  I'm also curious about the whole "if you launch hard enough the gimmick will activate" thing. If there is some control over the gimmick, it could be better than it initially appears to be.

Though it looks like hot garbage, I have slight hope for it. We’ve gotten a theme for the db drivers, that they are good combined with the db stadium. All of the drivers we’ve seen(even moment seems like it) have

If you have to light launch it to get this sort of control I only doubt it's use more. At that point you'd be better off using Blow' and Giga where you can hard launch it and get better same spin results, plus a tighter spring. Truth of the matter is these sorts of jumping gimmicks have basically never panned out well, so I have no hope in it being anything more than a pure fun part (where at the least it looks like it'll excel).
The idea of Shot is really cool but could be done better.

Instead of a sharp like tip that turns into xtend slingshot in the slingshock mode it could have been a flat tip that has a wider flat spring out to increase diameter without increasing height. It wouldn't jump high on trigger but if this driver idea triggers while at an angle the wider flat would strike the stadium causing a slight jump.

Imagining what could Shot have been does nothing about what Shot is. Honestly, it sounds fun but all it appears to be is a much worse generate.

Savior is realy cool and the Valkyrie core having the bound gimmick is interesting. But now I am just echoing things already said in this thread.
I hope the bound gimmick works because Genesis Valkyrie had a cool idea but it didn't work so I hope it works here

I think that the general idea of the initial sharp is to preserve the spin velocity so that the bey actually has enough stamina to speed up and move when it switches modes. It is sort of a ¨fix" to one of the biggest problems of the original reboot driver (since it hardly sped up all that much). Probably still could have been done better and will probably be rather mediocre but hey, it'll probably be far more fun in casual play than any competitive driver would be.

My biggest guess is the sharp tip is for, when direct clash battling opponent, sharp tip tend to stay on the same spot so it wont moving so much, after the stamina decrease when it jump hitting opponent bey will be inevitable.

It's not a sharp, it's a semi flat. There will be a little movement in the beginning.
Question: do we know how the bound gimmick will work? Like it’s it going to be like god valkrie, or will it be different?

It's not going to be like God Valkryie's bound gimmick that's all I can say now

From what I understand, the entire blade will be able to rotate slightly around the DB Chip.

I think its more so the entire layer will move when struck, and the lock will stay in place.

The entire layer does move, and if you switch the chip it won't have the spring attack.

I wonder if that'll affect the recoil negatively or not, but it's a pretty cool addition rather than just making a standard DB Core.

It probably will to some degree, since it did on God Valkyrie, but that could be good for any more defensively oriented blades too and improves burst resistance. It's not strictly a downside.

Plus you can still use Savior without the bound gimmick, just switch the chip.
