Gae Bolg:Barbed spear that pierces with death(Fate/Stay Night)

ゲイ・ボルク』!
ランサー

Gáe Bolg: Barbed Spear that Pierces with Death (刺し穿つ死棘の槍ゲイ・ボルク, Sashi Ugatsu Shitoge no YariGei Borugu?, also translated as Spear of Impaling Barbed Death) is an attack focused on a single target, created by Lancer to suit his own style, that strikes a fatal blow that always pierces the opponent's heart and ruins their body from within with its thousand iron thorns. It literally freezes the mana in the air, and it can easily be perceived as a sure-kill technique by all those around simply from being charged with magical energy. Once Gáe Bolg's name has been called, the cursed spear reverses the nature of causality, the meaning of "cause and effect" in the order of things, to make it so the cause of the "lance being thrust" comes from the effect of the "opponent's heart being pierced" by it. It determines the opponent's fate simply through its use, an always fatal move that pierces the heart with one thrust. It is also possible for him to activate it without actively striking the heart.[6] It is an attack on destiny itself, and while not a surprising fact due its wielder's demi-god heritage, it is a top-notch power even with its seeming limitations in power due to being a step away from the Authority of the gods.[7]

The actual action of the thrust is merely a formality, as the lance has already pierced the opponent's heart before the attack has even started. The "result" of "the heart of the opponent has been pierced" is created earlier than it is thrust, while the "cause" that "the lance has pierced through the heart" is generated later. Aside from great luck, it is a technique that determines "if it is released, the opponent is dead." Its range of effectiveness and power are weak compared to its other ability, but it has a low energy cost. Even with its nature of interfering with destiny and effect of "almost certainly will destroy the enemy's heart", the attack only utilizes magical energy in the double digits compared to a single spell from Caster costing hundreds of units of magical energy, and each activation is a sure kill, making it one of the most efficient Noble Phantasms with extraordinary usability that can be used up to seven times before Lancer must obtain more magical energy from his Master.[8]

The lance can move at impossible angles, signified by turning into a red beam of light, that always manages to reach its target. Even if he thrusts directly at the feet of the opponent, such as in the battle with Saber, it will immediately point upwards towards the heart without growing, bending, and or any movement from Lancer, and if it is thrown from a distance of ten meters, or rather than truly being a throw, "Lancer's own body is fused with his soaring spear", it will manage to reach the target without fail. This action looks completely normal to onlookers, as if it were already piercing the heart, because rather than truly changing its course, it changes the means to match the result, simply as an action meant to prove the fact that the heart was pierced. It can only be used against living beings, so it would have no particular effect against inanimate objects like rocks or houses.[9]

The lance curses the target upon striking them, delivering wounds that cannot be healed while Gae Bolg still exists in the world. While Lancer mentions that even a regular thrust through his heart would be hard to heal, being struck by the Noble Phantasm gives the greatest effect. As the "lance of cause and effect", it curses them, leaving them unable to change their fate without great luck. Those who are cursed will bear the wound until they die unless Lancer is killed or the spear is destroyed. Saber is only able to heal her wound on the outside, while she is able to fully heal a much greater wound from Berserker in a matter of hours, and she is plagued by it for weeks afterward. Shirou is able to recover slightly with Avalon, but the wound still persists until Lancer's death. Its curse is no longer effective against him with the scabbard's protection, but it takes over half a day to heal even with its potent regenerative abilities.

The attack delivers damage equal to the opponent's own health limit plus the damage from the spear itself, so the wound will be fatal no matter the opponent once they are struck. If the target has "100HP", the attack will deliver "the damage caused by the spear + 100."[8] This makes it especially effective against those with high durability, even those who can survive being hit by Excalibur.[10] Even someone like Arcueid Brunestud, who is very much superior in numbers compared to Lancer would be killed as long as she wasn't saved by her luck.[11] There is a small disadvantage against Servants who can move around even without their hearts like Heracles. The wounds from its attacks are rather clean, spilling only a small amount of blood compared to a regular wound of comparable size, and while a heart would normally explode from such a strike, it instead stops working with the single strike.

It is like Tsubame Gaeshi in that the best measure against it is to not allow it to begin. Unlike Tsubame Gaeshi, which there is no way to stop once it has been used, it is possible to find a countermeasure for Gae Bolg once it is found out that it will go for the heart.[12] It is impossible to dodge the thrust of the lance, no matter how agile, well guarded, or far away from the lance the opponent is standing. Even having EX rank agility would be useless, so the only benefit would be allow the opponent to back out of the attack's range before it is initiated.[4] While it would normally be ineffective against Berserker's God Hand, Lancer could take at least one of his lives by using his runes to power up the rank of the lance to A to bypass God Hand's nullification ability.[13]

The only way to effectively defend against the attack is to have a high enough degree of luck or divine protection as to be able to alter fate, which would be heightened by also having good reflexive instincts, an auto-resurrection ability, a shield that overwhelms the magical energy of the lance, or, as a countermeasure of knowing it will strike the heart, by following Archer's strategy of quickly backing out of the attack's range before it is initialized.[4] Even if the opponent manages to avoid it with luck, as with Saber, it still leaves a heavy wound on her that takes a long time to fully heal.

The conceptual strength behind it is strong, so it will clash with something like Fragarach. Even if Lancer is killed and the attack is nullified by returning it to before it was activated, such as when going against Fragarach's unavoidable counterattack, the lance's curse will wind back to the moment "Gáe Bolg" was chanted in order to carry out its purpose of striking the heart. Fragarach alters the order of events, but Gae Bolg reverses cause and effect. It has already pierced the heart as the result, so even its master's death will not impede it from fulfilling its duty. The two opposing laws clashing against each other leaves both Lancer and Bazett dead afterward.

Fiamma of the Right's Holy Right(To aru majutsu no index)

[Image: images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTeA1DzagLJjAHJHxbzWR6...OrEdyo5BtQ]

The Holy Right (聖なる右, Seinaru Migi?) is the embodiment of the power of the Right Hand within Christianity, which Fiamma of the Right claims has the power to create miracles and destroy all evil outright.[4] The power itself is aligned to Archangel Michael[3], who occupies God's Right Seat in Heaven[10], and it is as innate to Fiamma of the Right as it is to walk.[2] The Holy Right derives its power from the prominence the Right Hand has in Christian lore, wherein several miracles, rituals, and traditions are performed using the Right Hand. Archangel Michael cast down Lucifer and his fallen angels with the Right Hand; Jesus, the Son of God used his Right Hand to heal the sick; the Bible was written with the Right Hand. The Holy Right is capable of replicating the power all of these original acts held.[4] The Holy Right is as strong as it needs to be. Its strength depends on Fiamma of the Right’s needs and the enemy that stands before him — ergo, the Holy Right simply defeats whatever it targets with the precise amount of force needed, no more no less.[6] Touma likened Fiamma of the Right’s power to having a "defeat" option in an RPG among the usual commands of "fight", "defend", "magic", and "item". Touma goes onto saying the Holy Right ignores its enemies actions and simply crushes them regardless.[3]

The Third Arm manifests like a mirage-like hand that appears like a malformed bird’s talon that appears to be growing out of Fiamma of the Right's right shoulder. It is the outward manifestation of the Holy Right and of the power within Fiamma of the Right’s body.[12] Every time Fiamma of the Right manifests his Third Arm, it slowly disintegrates into the air. Vento of the Front, during her confrontation with Fiamma of the Right, refers to a magical theory that says members of God’s Right Seat cannot just use spells other than the special ones that have been adjusted for their use, which Fiamma of the Right acknowledges. Fiamma of the Right thus has limits to the time he can use his ability and will run out of "stocks" one day, becoming nothing more than a regular human without power when he does so.[3] Fiamma of the Right's physical right arm serves to control the Third Arm; when Aleister Crowley blasted it away, Fiamma of the Right lost the ability to control the Third Arm with his will. Nevertheless, he still has the Holy Right and it will still work regardless.[1]

Due to the Distortion of the Laws of the World that affected the elemental balance, Fiamma of the Right couldn’t use the full might of the Holy Right due to the elements of Archangels becoming ambiguous, thus less powerful. After he set the elements in their proper place, Fiamma of the Right was able to wield the unrestrained power of the Holy Right within a perfected world.[6]

Fiamma of the Right has demonstrated the following uses for the Holy Right:

The strike that ends everything it touches — This attack destroys everything it touches without any destructive force.[3]
The strike that reaches everything when swung — This attack delivers itself right next to its target without any speed or sound.[14] When he wishes, Fiamma of the Right can teleport right next to the target while he delivers that attack, as he did with Vento of the Front.[3]
Flaming Sword — It is powerful 30–40 km magical sword massive enough to resist being negated by Imagine Breaker for some time.[14] This is likely symbolism for the Sword of Michael, said to be a flaming sword used by Archangel Michael to banish Lucifer from Heaven.
Beam of Light — This attack wasn’t negated by Imagine Breaker, but ricocheted off it and split into multiple beams.[14][3]
Sword of Light — This attack was used by Fiamma of the Right to sever Touma’s Imagine Breaker.[6]
Teleportation — Fiamma of the Right can teleport anywhere he wishes instantly as long as he has an open horizontal path.[8]
Mental Communication — As shown when he talked to Vento of the Front[3] and William Orwell. [7] It’s possible he can only do this with members of God’s Right Seat since he had to use a communication device to speak with Bishop Nikolai Tolstoy.
Other Abilities

During World War III Fiamma of the Right had full control over the Star of Bethlehem, the giant flying-fortress which was designed by him and created with the help of over 2000 magicians. The structure possesses the ability to use Misha Kreutzev's power to turn the day into the night and with that it can be used as a symbol for the 'Star of Bethelemem', the one out of the Christian stories. After every preparations are done, the Star of Bethlehem can summon enough telesma to turn the Earth into the Heaven. With an incomplete summoning it gained enough energy to destroy the whole Eurasian continent with a single giant mass of telesma. After Fiamma of the Right's defeat and the failure of his plan, the flying-fortress collapses and falls into the Arctic Ocean.
Turn into a fairy (妖精化, Yōsei-ka?): A spell specifically created to counter Othinus the Magic God and bring her down into a field where she can be defeated.[28] Fiamma later devised his own variant of the fairy spell, with the spell being rapidly reapplied 2070000 times in a row on contact to destroy the target,[31] though he was unsuccessful in his attempt to use it against the High Priest.[32]
Hide Presence: He can successfully hide his presence from anyone to the point that even a magic god cannot detect him.[28][31]
Communication Spell: Fiamma is shown to be capable of using a spell to communicate via a red paper plane.[33]
Cause I feel this is required, One Punch Man.

He defeats ALMOST anything in a single punch, and those who have survived more than one punch didn't survive much more than that. Seriously we can't have this topic without Saitama.
Almost every main character in history of anime, Powered by Plot Shields!

Jokes aside, the Number 1 person in my list of overpowered characters are probably, Ankhseram of Fairy Tail ( i can't think of anybody besides him) Anyways he is the one who put the curse in Zeref and Mavis' body ( the reason why Fairy Heart was able to be created) and he is a "god" in the FT world, and pretty much kill everybody :v

I don't know. But we clearly know in the manga that Ankhseram was the one who set the curse on Zeref and Mavis. Hence why Zeref and Mavis is still alive, He might be the one who created Dark Magic. and punish Magic Users who use it while it is still incomplete. That's why its called Ankhseram's curse
Definitely Saitama from One Punch Man, at least in his Universe,
he'll most likely beat any other anime character with the power of his comedic OP strength, yes even Goku or that Beerus guy probably.

Going by feats,though..Saitama at best is a planet buster. Not saying that he's weak.

Avalon: The Everdistant Utopia is the hallowed scabbard of Excalibur, the embodiment of the utopia King Arthur seeks, originally stolen from her shortly before the Battle of Camlann. It is a luxurious piece of equipment made of gold and decorated with blue enamel that seems more like a treasure to show dignity and nobility like a crown or staff than a weapon. No one knows what kind of a divine mystery it is made from, but it was created by fairies along with Excalibur, its middle engraved with an inscription written in Fairy Letters to show it is not the work of man. It bequeaths limited immortality through constant regenerative simulation, as well as preventing physical deterioration due to aging.

Its abilities are potent enough to heal critical and fatal wounds rapidly and restore the wielder's health. It allows for large missing portions of the body to be restored, the regeneration of destroyed organs, even including the heart, and minor injuries such as cuts to quickly heal. It differs from other Noble Phantasms used by Servants, as it is the genuine artifact that was excavated in Cornwall at the request of the Einzberns shortly before the Fourth Holy Grail War. It is used by Kiritsugu Emiya as the catalyst to summon Arturia as a Saber-class Servant and its existence is kept hidden from her. It is still in pristine condition after one thousand five hundred years, though it no longer functions without a connection to its original owner. It is later used to save the life of Shirou Emiya at the end of the Fourth Holy Grail War, and it is once again used as a catalyst to summon Arturia during the Fifth Holy Grail War.

Its function as a Noble Phantasm is an "absolute defense" that completely shields its user in the domain of fairies, Avalon, the unreachable utopia that Arthur dreamed of and was said to have gone to after her death. It is the greatest protection in the world that goes beyond defending or reflecting, completely isolating its user in a world completely separate from the regular world. The scabbard dissipates into countless tiny particles in the air and immerses the user to become a "portable fortress" that shuts out all interference. It is the Bounded Field of the tranquil domain of fairyland that keeps out all filth from the outside lands, and allows nothing to harm the tranquil King that stands in the land of Avalon. The individual is shielded from all destructive interference in the physical realm, transliners from parallel worlds, and multidimensional communication as far as the sixth dimension. It is on the level of true magic, an actual true magic in itself, that transcends all magecraft, and not even five current magics can overcome the barrier.

And of course,my favourite;

That dude is 52.8 billion light years tall and has probability manipulation and reality warping powers.
Yeah I mean if you looked at it by statistics and facts, Saitama isn't the strongest, however, he's still OP in his Universe which the thread seems to be about. I think Saitama could still beat other OP characters if they decide to use the power of his comedic style and keep any would be character battles almost as consistent as the show. Again, statistically, Saitama would lose, unless nothing can kill him apart from time.

That said, we've never seen Saitama at full strength at all.

Agreed with that.Is the manga still ongoing?

I think it's got a second season soon to reveal Saitama more or something like that, enjoyed the 12 episodes for what they were, nice and comedic.

I at first thought we were counting only anime characters, but for non anime characters, anything OP will come from DC or Marvel, like Silver Surfer, Franklin and The Spectre, also for some reason Alien X from Ben 10 are OP characters outside anime.
Superman must be on this list. He has an answer to anything and everything..
Especially that one that destroyed a solar system with a sneeze.
goku is also essentially overpowered as well and alot of the characters in dragonball super are broken too. Won't mention who because it would spoil the story...

Yes the manga is still ongoing as well as the original webcomic it's based on. Even in the webcomic which is far ahead in number of issues he still hasn't used his full power yet. And no nothing has happened it terms of explanation properly yet. The house of evolution guy pops up to give his theory which is the best we've gotten so far.
I know there wasn't an explanation, I said that it might happen in the upcoming second season.

With Saitama's explanation, even if it was true, I bet his powers have something to do with the fact he can develop and gain strength quicker using the same training, but that's only a baseless speculation though it is one of my guesses.
Can Rago be considered an op antagonist. or no? I mean Diablo Nemesis is the God of Destruction, and can absorb beyblades' powers or spirits.
SAO's Kirito.
(Cringe)
So OP he ruined the show. It became boring. And a shame, since it was a good idea for a show as well. Not why that show sucked, but a good competent one. What fun is it if your main character never struggles physically, in a show about fighting? And then breaking the rules of death a few times. Whatever~

So glad you mentioned Kirito. I was a bit disappointed when Heathcliff (or the creator of SAO) stabbed him and he lived for a good 6 seconds. While Asuna was slashed and lived for 3 seconds. I mean. He was also low health in that time right? Plus, there weren't really any strategic components in this anime. And half of the show was filled with romance. Goes to show why Log Horizon is better than SAO.
Yeah I hate when overpowered characters ruin the show by being boring and repetitive of showing him/her annihilate everyone else, and you know that there's one I constantly talk about and bash...

I won't say every OP characters ruin the show, if they're entertaining and/or quick, or make the show constantly engaging then it's fine, Saitama had quick battles and at least didn't hog most of the show fighting.

I agree with you. I think Naruto is better than Kirito...
Yuno gasai from mirai nikki is overpowered beyond belief, so is ginga from metal fight beyblade and judai and yusei from yu-gi-oh gx and 5d's
