MFB Competitive Brackets.

I'm not sure if there's already a thread for this, but I couldn't seem to find it... So I'm going to propose it here, or at least talk about it.

Over the years of collecting and playing Beyblades I've seen a lot of things happen; the game changed and has gotten better and better... However, there has been one trend that has been consistent: heavier and heavier beyblades kept coming out. It's to a point where essentially, any early beyblades are obsolete because they're simply too light to compete. Earth is no longer the Defense wheel of choice. Burn isn't the godliest stamina bey out there...

And this is fine, because this is just how power creep works and forces competitive players to buy more and more recent parts. But what about the old wheels? Those light ones? Well... they're left in the dust. Nobody uses them, they're often donated to goodwill or collecting dust in someone's storage container.

What can we do about this? It's simple. Power creep isn't a localized issue. It happens in every competitive game. What's the solution? These games simply create a new bracket. A limiter on what can or cannot be used in certain tournaments. Having this limiter, increases the level of thought, strategy, and versatility... while blocking out anything that breaks that particular bracket.

Why doesn't beyblading have such a bracket? A way of blading?

I donno about you, but it gets a bit stale to me when the newest released wheel instantly hits the competitive tier list. But of course, there isn't anything wrong with this as well.

What I would like.... is to devise a bracket, that encompasses the ligher MFB wheels, but limits the game in terms of parts/wheels via release date.

Not only would this allow us to reuse these older parts, but we could possibly think deeper into strategies and parts... and even allow us to use tips that we never would use. Such as SF, which sees zero use in any current competitive tournament, but can be deadly in a low track flame destabilizer combo under a different bracket.

So far I was thinking something along the lines of, All beyblades Pre-4D but with bans on Libra/Basalt/Hades/BD145.

Thoughts?
Stay tuned, we have a similar idea coming up ... !
