Layer Base - Flare

Flare is a Layer Base released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatchinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan with Random Booster Vol. 16 on July 20th, 2019.

==Description==

Flare is a two-sided layer base. It is rather wide compared to other Gatchinko Layer System Bases, and contains 6 free-moving metal balls. In theory, these are meant to increase stamina, and while they do slightly, Flare is not a very good Layer Base for stamina combinations, due to the aggressive shape it has. It has potential for attack usage, due to this shape, and indeed, is decent for it, but Flare raises the teeth of Gatchinko Chips that are placed onto it. As a result, Flare has poor burst resistance, hindering its one possible usage.

==Overall==

Flare is both too aggressive for Stamina combinations, and lacks the burst resistance to be used in Attack combinations. While the metal balls allow it to have higher stamina, this does not make up for its flaws. Therefore, it is recommended for collection purposes in the context of the Gatchinko Layer System. The advent of heavier and better distributed Layers for Stamina and Attack, including Dynamite with the F Gear and Savior, also renders all Gatchinko Layer System Layer Bases outclassed in Standard. Therefore, for Standard, Flare is recommended for collection purposes only.
Wow that's Quick'. Maybe you can help improve upon my other drafts?
