No, it has always been called a winder. Hasbro called it the ripcord.

I don't think many people will have any spares up for grabs yet considering the only way to acquire them was through starters. If you want some you best wait until the Orange shooter is released. You can buy a few then.

Oh and winder is the term used by Takara for ripcord; it has always been that way.
