Rock Gemios 85CS
And you guys are looking at me, asking: Why the hell Rock Gemios 85CS?
Well, I'm not sure at all. This is my first real testing and I was thinking about a
Balance Type Combo. In the end it's more like an idea I want to present, the results are not bad, but... you'll see
The layout is stolen from Wombat's post
Overview:
Rock was my first choice, maybe not the best and maybe I'll find a better replacement, but for me personally Rock seems to be decent regarding attack & defense.
Gemios is just a clear wheel which is light and avoids covering a lot of the metal wheel.
85, the lowest track to give it some attack height and to destabilize (mid-track defense combos, I'm not sure if destabilizing is the right term, haha).
CS. The main point of the combo. I wanted to use an aggresive CS to get some sort of attack & counter attack, but defense and a little bit of stamina, too.
The reason I didn't include a Metal Face: I don't have a second one unfortunately.
Equipment:
- BB-10 Attack Type Stadium
- Beylauncher R, 3 Segment Grip, Grip Rubber
- Beylauncher L, 3 Segment Grip
Part's Condition:
- CS: good condition
- RF: worn down to a very good point
- RB: near mint
- WD: mint

Testing:
Rock Gemios 85CS vs. Dark Knight Girago (Crystal Up) 85RF
Gemios: 6 wins (2 OS, 4 KO)
Girago: 14 wins (all KO)
Gemios win rate: 30%
It did pretty bad against an attack type. Actually it got a few epic saves due to CS, but it does not have enough defense and too much recoil.
I do not have Wyvang, Omega etc., so no more testings here unfortunately.
Rock Gemios 85CS vs. MF-H Earth Cygnus R145RB
Gemios: 16 wins (all OS)
Cygnus: 4 wins (2 KO, 2 OS)
Gemios win rate: 80%
Not a single KO for Gemios, of course.
Rock Gemios 85CS vs. Meteo L-Drago 100WD
Gemios: 13 wins (12 KO, 1 OS)
L-Drago: 7 wins (all OS)
Gemios win rate: 65%
Rock Gemios 85CS vs. Earth Cygnus W145WD
Gemios: 13 wins (all KO)
L-Drago: 7 wins (2 KO, 5 OS)
Gemios win rate: 65%
I thought it would do better, but it's pretty hard for Rock to KO Earth.
Rock Gemios 85CS vs. Burn Cygnus 85MF
Gemios: 10 wins (9 KO, 1 OS)
Girago: 10 wins (4 KO, 6 OS)
Gemios win rate: 50%
A lot of good potential wasted. The harder Burn hit it, the harder it got its payback. But the stamina is horrible, I don't know how it performs with a brand new CS, but I don't think it will survive MF...
Rock Gemios 85CS vs. Burn Cygnus 85MF (straight launch)
Gemios: 8 wins (5 KO, 3 OS)
Girago: 12 wins (6 KO, 6 OS)
Gemios win rate: 40%
Almost every stamina battle was a really close one. I would need some more practice to get a good launch on Rock in this case.
Rock Gemios 85CS vs. Meteo L-Drago F230GCF
Gemios: 16 wins (9 KO, 7 OS)
Girago: 4 wins (all KO)
Gemios win rate: 80%
Hasbro F230 (2-pack version). Nothing more to say here...
It was just an idea, something like an balance / counter attack like beyblade. In the end it performed okay, but nothing someone would use in tournament (besides me maybe...). I'll keep up with the idea of 85CS for some counter attack combos and maybe I can find a good metal wheel.
That's it, I hope it was worth posting, otherwise you can delete it of course
And if you have any suggestion for metal wheels, changes in general of combos for testing, feel free to reply!
Best regards
