Knight Shield Combos

This is mostly a more extended testing thread of Knight Shield 1-80 HN, a relic from the old Beyblade X meta, enhanced by the 1-80 ratchet as recommended by Low Tier Beyblade (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY1lSRCVNtU). Knight Shield is very lightweight, but it has a very good shape that allows it to dissipate impacts. Coupled with the High Needle bit,  it allows Knight Shield to act like a gyroscope and precess, making direct hits more difficult for the opponent to land. So let's see if it can actually compete with the current meta beyblades.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Wizard Rod 1-60 H
1 win (1 over finish), 19 losses (19 spin finishes)
Remarks: The defense build doesn't work very well when there's nothing to defend against. Next test.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Shark Scale 1-70 LR
10 wins (9 spin finishes, 1 over finish), 10 losses (3 spin finishes, 4 over finishes, 3 xtreme finishes)
Remarks: A good 50% win rate, but it does lose on points because of HN's poor knockout resistance. Shark Scale's hits are violent enough to knock Knight Shield out, but beating Knight Shield out by stamina is much rarer.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Shark Scale 1-60 J
10 wins (6 spin finishes, 2 over finishes, 2 xtreme finishes), 10 losses (5 spin finishes, 3 over finishes, 2 xtreme finishes)
Remarks: Even with an 80-height ratchet, Knight Shield did not concede any burst finishes at all. With a slower moving Shark Scale, it can secure spin finishes more reliably, but Knight Shield can secure spin finishes by just a few more rotations and protect its win rate. Jolt's slower speed also makes it easier to deflect away into the pockets.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Phoenix Wing 3-60 R
14 wins (14 spin finishes), 6 losses (1 spin finish, 5 over finishes)
Remarks: Phoenix Wing put up a good fight and can over finish Knight Shield sometimes, but the stamina just isn't there to protect its win rate as well as Shark Scale did.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Aero Pegasus 3-60 R
6 wins (6 spin finishes), 1 draw, 13 losses (2 spin finishes, 10 over finishes, 1 xtreme finish)
Remarks: Very dominant performance from Aero. Knight Shield could not defend against knockouts from Aero Pegasus, with its heavy weight, superior shape and better stamina.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Pegasus Blast Heavy 3-60 K
5 wins (4 spin finishes, 1 over finish), 15 losses (2 spin finishes, 12 over finishes, 1 xtreme finish)
Remarks: Once again weight proved to be Knight Shield's key weakness, Pegasus Blast just bullied it around the stadium most of the time. The few spin finishes it had were down to just a few more rotations.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 E
4 wins (1 over finish, 1 burst finish, 2 xtreme finishes), 16 losses (15 spin finishes, 1 over finish)
Remarks: Knight Shield has no answer to spin-stealing, the imbalance that enabled it to wobble and dissipate the impacts of attack types prevents it from winning a single stamina battle in the late game.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Meteor Dragoon 7-70 L
6 wins (6 spin finishes), 4 draws, 10 losses (7 spin finishes, 2 over finishes, 1 xtreme finish)
Remarks: The spin finish profile is a bit 50/50 for both beys, but Meteor Dragoon's attacking capabilities helped it secure a more lethal edge against Knight Shield.

Knight Shield 1-80 HN vs Glory Valkyrie FF
12 wins (12 spin finishes), 1 draw, 7 losses (5 over finishes, 2 xtreme finishes)
Remarks: Glory Valkyrie has weight but not enough stamina, so it can knock out Knight Shield but not bully it like Pegasus Blast did. Its lower height also didn't do it any favors when compared to Pegasus Blast's slightly taller but lethal downsmash attacks.
For such an old bey, that’s pretty good
