Most people don't give 2 turds about what you do in college during your free time. The clique bs pretty much gets abolished the minute you step on campus.

Only people who actually care/should care are recruiters in which case they are looking to see what you've done in school is applicable to the job at hand. In other words can you add value to the organization.

I recently bought some t-shirts at old navy and the cashier asked if they were for my little brother. Apparently all girls must wear low-cut, paper thin t-shirts.

I've bought a lot of really weird, embarrassing stuff for myself over the years, toys are not one of them. I don't have shame in my hobbies. I might feel a little weird buying anything from the Barbie isle though.

personally i wouldnt care if someone saw me buying beyblades since no one really cares what i do. i mean like at school im always on this site and on ebay looking up beyblades for sale, so if someone saw me buy a blade i wouldnt care even though im 16. buying beyblades is nothing to be ashamed of to me(idc what people think) if love beyblading go ahead and buy some.(or keep a baseball bat in the truck of your car a catch'em alone you know what to do from there) dont take opion #2 trust me

yeah im 18 going on 19, i'll just go to a store not in my neighborhood, I dont have no little brother to get them for me, if the person at the register ask why im buying toys i'll just lie and say im getting them for my son(even though i dont have one)

plus im black, and i live in the hood, its really hard for black people that like anime lol
well kinda we have a skateboard shop and a anime store right in the middle of the hood... you can watch anime or crackheads for entertainment at the same time lol

um im 11 and i dont relly have beyblades in my area i buy battle strikers i try to ask sum1 else to buy them for me and give it to me at the entrance so it's in a bag and nobody can see wats inside

Well i remebered trying to buy a blade and this one girl i liked saw and i knew i shouldnt have been but i was kinda embarassed so i just told her it was a gift but alot pf people say that when embarassed about buying a toy

This thread is sort of amusing. I wouldn't hide or act differently in the toy aisle when I would buy a Beyblade. If I did run into a friend and they asked me what I was buying, I would tell them as some of my friends know that I like Beyblade just as a hobby . But if it were a person that I'm not to close to etc I'd just say I was buying it for a cousin.

LOL it also depends on the type of shop,department stores would give you funny looks but if you went to a hobbie shop the people in there are normaly nerds anyway and will most likely have a good talk to you about the game or toy,anyway thats what ive noticed when i buy anime figures.

When I enter the toy store I am clad in a black ninja outfit with a plastic beyblade ready to fire at anyone that looks at me funny. The positive side about this is the full identity protection and if someone does recognize you, they'll think you're an absolute nutter and never approach you again.

Some of the cashiers and employees at the Toys R Us where I live are gamers and anime fans anyway. If anyone ever bothered to ask me a 17 year old in the first place, I'd just saying I'm doing it for the hell of it. At that point the conversation would be over.

well here is how i do it i go into walmart with my hoodie on try not to attract to much attention just looking out for stuff ok and then so i cross through the clothes section then the dvds and then i just randomly turn into the toy section now here is how i do it with stuff that i buy these days and its probably goingt o be the same way with beyblades but when i enter the toy section i just brush off my awareness and just look at the stuff that i want to buy then i just carry it to the register and make sure that i dont use the self check out i always use the one with the cashier and i dont even use a cart and then i just walk out after buying what i wanted and nothing is ever said of it i just dont like people seeing me when i walk into a store when im already at the section im going to then i could care less i just dont like it when i walk into walmart and one of my friends starts screaming hey but i take great pride in my hobbies especially beyblade in school im known a little bit for creating some launching strategies i made a few and im also known for powerful launches and my new upper attack combos and im a 13 year old boy going into high school this fall and nobody really cares if i buy this stuff because people know that i love anime

Personally, I think you shouldn't really care about others opinions if they are mean. Often they're jealous that you have a hobby that you're involved in or that you can admit to liking it. I learnt the hard way XD
