How often do you fix/replace your launcher?

This question requires more than a single-post answer. It's more of a discussion, so I've made a thread.

After three years, I finally had to replace the clutch in my Hasbro Rev-Launcher. I use this launcher pretty much exclusively. Like everyone else who uses it, one of the clutch teeth broke during a marathon testing session. I do not own many other launchers but I have heard some petty weird breakage stories in the past, so I'm curious:

  • How often do you fix/replace your launcher?
  • How and why does it need fixing/replacing?
  • Be sure to mention which launcher you actually use!

Everyone seems to end up using the same launcher type anyway but its been a while since the last launcher release so we can probably make better judgements on some of the newer launchers now too. Not asking for a launcher tier-list or anything.
Interesting thread Smile Here are my answers:

1. I can use one launcher for quite a long time, because I make the ripcord as straight as possible before I launch it to reduce the launcher´s wear and also try to pull it out of the launcher as straight as I can. I think I can do about 500 shoots until I have to replace it.

2. It needs replacing because the launcher doesn´t stop spinning when the ripcord is pulled out so that the bey doesn´t get off the launcher. Then the arm that stops the gear-wheel is broken. No use in trying to fix it. Tongue_out

3. I use the standard plastics EZ launcher and a catapult grip.

Unfortunately most of my launchers are ruined by my boyfriend when we´re blading... He´s just too strong for the poor launchers, he needs only two or three shoots to wreck one launcher... Pinching_eyes
My Rev Up Launcher breaks this week Crying
(one of the littlest gear's teeth break) I tried fix it with Krazy Glue but it doesn't work.
I'm desperate because it's my powerfullest launcher, and it ensure the best working of one of my favourite combo Crying

Either way, using Krazy Glue (or for any other Lego Fans- Kragle) would render the launcher to be illegal in tournament use.
