Hong Kong manilla incident.

Since this has been the rage in hong kong for the past few days, I thought i might as well start a thread about it. its really unfortunate how these people died...

I think this is a good post, but I hope the mods don't close this - I can understand if they do as well. A lot of conflict and controversy can come out of this.

Basically, a rogue gunman who turned out to be one of Manila's policemen took a tour bus hostage for twelve hours. Other policemen arrived on the scene, and the best they could do was use sledge hammers to break the windows open, which didn't help. They had some moments where they could've disarmed him - he went to the doorway two or three times. But he was kinda furious when other policemen tried to do so, so he killed eight hostages I believe. Eventually, he was shot, but the controversy lies in the fact that the police's best tactic was using sledge hammers to break the windows open. They could've saved lives if they knew how to negotiate like our Special Tactics team does in North America.
