HasCon 2017 Beyblade Burst Evolution REPORT (Picture HEAVY)

Protoman here!

So I finally my body recovered from the 4 day experience of HasCon 2017 in Rhode Island across from Hasbro's HQ, Hasbro's trade show and convention to all their brands and they had a huge section for Beyblade and even was running tournaments with prizes.

I took a bunch of photos for you guys to get an idea of the scope

Entry to the show was about $70USD after taxes, about $59USD if you got the Groupon deal.  There was VIP packages but they were for the other brands (Like Transformers, Marvel), but those ran $645USD (Yeah I know...) but you got to meet Stan Lee (For Marvel) or a dinner and meet and greet with Transformers actors, ect.

Beyblade didn't have said package, but the designers and Hasbro reps were on the con floor all weekend to talk to so you didn't need any fancy package as a "Blader"

I am going to just post some photos, so the thread might be a little picture heavy.

All photos were taken on the early Thursday set up when it was quiet, but come Saturday/Sunday it was PACKED.

See ya at the next local tournament!!!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing! Did you watch any of the tournaments? How did those run? Were they single elimination, round robin, etc?

Kind of wish I had gone now after seeing all of this. It was odd that there was essentially no mention of Beyblade on the Hascon timetable, and even the PR rep I was in contact with wasn't sure of what their plans were beforehand, somehow.
I was there because of my HUGE Transformers connection, but of course as anyone who is part of Montreal's Beyblade community, they know my strong ties to that brand too.

The tournaments were more fast and loose, best of 3, nothing major. If anything it was just to push the brand, make some new fans and have some fun while giving out a lot of swag, codes, ect
what did the starter pack come with?

I also like Transformers too
They would give out to anyone who was curious random Wave 1 starter packs of Beyblade Burst from late December 2016 (No doubt overstock they don't need anymore)

Ah, that makes sense

Ah, I see. As expected ... sounds similar to the Beyblade Burst Tour events from this summer.
Any idea when those evolution singles are launching?
